  1. I don't have the world boss portal device so i don't know how it works, but i was thinking more like the actual meta in HoT and EoD works. These Orr events deserve that much.

If i remember correctly, the events when you have to retake the cathedrale of the gods in Orr are not on a timer like the meta events in the expansions It makes it really hard to join in when they are being done, if you're not lucky to be on the map at this time there is no telling when the next one will be possible. I don't know if it's technically possible (and i'd like to know if it is) but we the arrival of new players from steam, is'nt it time for these events to have an update to be on a timer ? They are really interesting too, so it's not really about reward but more because of immersion. You are invading Orr and it feels weird to not be a part of this war like the story tells you
  3. Sorry for digging up an old post, but this is a suggestion which seems really usefull. Every other meta are on a timer and it's possible to know when to do it. When you need to do it you can't know when you can join in to do it because maybe it was just done before and there is absolutely no idea when it will be available again. They are really interesting too so it's really sad you can do it regularly like other meta I don't know if it's technically possible but can they be reworked to be on a timer ? PS : I'm mainly speaking of the cathedrales event in Orr but i'm sure there are other event just as interesting and almost never done because of the lack of timer
  4. Focus should rotate between all 3 aspects of the game. One update tor PVE then one to PVP then one to WvW then one to PVE etc.

  6. @Dave.6819I disagree, sure there are classes easier to learn than others but two people with the same build have different results and that is partly because of the hours spent with said build (the other part being your mechanical skills aka your APM). I play elementalist since the release of the game and i know i will never be as good as Cellofrag with it, and that is because 1)i don't have his mechanicla skill and 2) i don't have as much hours as him playing the build. Of course i can be better than i am now but it will be a slow process, maybe10% improvement in a year or two. And i doubt it is different for other classes
  7. it unfortunately is useless when you are accused to be toxic when you start discussing strategy (yes it happened)
  8. If someone is offensive. Someone rude is fine but someone swearing and calling me name have a one way ticket to report + block. My block list became bigger these last 2 years. I don't know if it is a trend but some people should check their temper.
  9. I think the ranked system should work a little like the tournament system. You enter the ranked season just like you enter a tournament (ticket ?) and as long as you are solo or duo, all your games are counted as ranked, for all your characters. If you join a party of 3-5 players, you then play unranked.
  10. When i play a game i expect it to be harder than the tutorial and a boss to be harder than a simple mob...
  11. Getting rid of top stats and showing the stats table for everyone seems a better idea to me. If you don't have top stats, it doesn't mean you played badly. Sometimes i don't have top stats in kill and damage as a necro but still did a lot of damage and kill 20 people. If someone else kills one or two more player doesn't mean i played badly as i said.Top Stats are misleading, stats table is more important.
  12. Of course it will be temporary, like all advertising. But you can't have more game mod if you don't have the population to support it. Maps, you can but it won't fix the problem, it will just be a good thing for people already playing PvP but will not bring people who don't know the mod. Once you have enough population, then you can change and add things.
  13. I think the main problem of PvP is population so to fix it i guess advertising for PvP is obvious, in game (pve and wvw) and outside the game.
