  1. Really hope that the mech toning down will really make it into even this "mostly competitive update". Otherwise 2 more months of this unhinged imposters in every group will make so many people to quit.
  2. GW1 would really benefit from update to the login technology. Currently it can't remember your password at all, unless you put it as plaintext into launch parameters, which is severe security issue (if someone gets access to your computer) endangering your whole GW1&GW2 account. Other options are to have easy to remember and type in each time password, which is also security issue as such password might be easily guessable. And copying the password each time means you have it stored somewhere, that also isn't ideal. GW2 has this solved by storing encrypted data (probably login token and not the password directly). GW1 getting upgrade to this technology would have great benefits in this regard, giving bigger security to the account (and many people do have both games on same account) and making logging into GW1 way easier. On top of this, then it should be easy to add "login with steam account" to GW1 as well, when it would then use your steam account credentials. This obviously wouldn't allow linking already existing accounts (as that would mean linking gw2 accounts as well), but would be better than the current system. The security of your account depends on the weakest part of it, and currently GW1 is the potential weak spot and should be resolved.
  3. Having to invest into precision gear to get 100% crit chance is correct design. The problem is that condi builds don't need three stats to work well, therefore are automatically stronger. Condi builds should all be changed so significant amount of condi is applied not automatically, but on critical hit. That would actually turn things to be way better balanced, both power and condi builds requiring 3 stats for the max damage.
  4. Rod is unlocked on all characters, but you need to buy and equip either lure, or bait to be able to fish. So visit that fish trader to buy some for your next characters you want to fish with.
  5. If the fishing is hard for you, it means you have not enough fishing power. Having at least the recommended power for the spot makes it easy, and having more makes the catch trivial. Without fishing power it is nearly impossible, and fairly depending on rng to keep up. However, I wonder if there isn't oversight. As of now, if you go to low level area in core maps, your fishing power stat is downscaled to same percentage as other stats, so in lvl 33 zone, 410 power is now 55 power, and fishing pools need 400, so it is giga hard. (So for now, choosing zones with higher lvls is good tactics) For fishing power, you can get bunch from masteries, then buying lures/baits on fish suppliers, then having food buff to have full belly. So far I found out that 500ish fishing power is reachable. And then party buffs and repeatable catch buffs probably can raise it way higher.
  6. The real incentive to farm CMs was always to get 100 relics per clear, as that is what actually makes pursuit towards fractal god bearable. Also bonus fractal research pages (that are one of the hard-timegated things in fractals in general), so CMs do speed up the progression for fractal rewards greatly, which is the point why to play them. The actual gold bonus is nice, but it just is a thing you can get anywhere else so not really incentive to play exactly this.
  7. Heya, The weekly achievement for Raid CMs was great addition, but it would really be better, if it was tiered achievement instead of 5/5 or nothing. In my vision, it would look like this: Achievement would have one stage and reward per each unique CM kill, so you kill one boss this week, you get 2 gold and 2 tokens. You kill five? you get same as now. You kill all cms? You get more. This would fix multiple issues, mainly it would incentivize even less skilled raiders to at least do some CMs, gradually doing more of them as they deal with slightly harder content. Nowadays only actual veterans do CMs, if they know they are able to get all five. And it would fix the issue with actually doing only easiest CMs as well. Any CM would still give bonus loot, so even the a bit harder CMs would be incentivized to run. For Fractals, the weekly achievements can solve the mystic coin perspective. The EoD change of rng mystic coins to zero makes many jaded, as they now really have to play completely different gamemodes to get the coins reliably. I think that adding one mystic coin into each weekly fractal chest would solve (at least partially) this issue. And I would go as far as adding fifth chest, which would be granted for clearing 9 (or other amount) Fractal CMs per week. That would mean 5 mystic coins per week (and potentially the CM chest can give more than one), with no RNG involved, so reliable source, with good control how much coins are given out. It would also mean that lower tier players have partial access to it (via T1, T2 etc weekly chests), and incentive for veterans to join lower tiers players to also get the lower tier weekly chests, giving newer players ability to play with more skilled players and learn a bit from it.
  8. Love it, gonna go craft it right now just to celebrate this news
  9. One note: The spotlight weeks are not weeks to finish each chapters. They are weeks for replaying it for veterans, and to unlock it for newbies. You login once the week period, you get the chapter for free, forever. You can then keep working on it to play it on your own tempo. Btw. this is same as previously. If you logged into the game for 10 seconds once per 3 months during all the years, you would have all unlocked for free as well.
  10. As stated in title, the daily (generic pve) achievement "Daily Fractal" should be achieved by doing any single fractal. However, if one picks Sunqua Peak 75, this didn't happened (we got it when finishing next fractal).Don't know if other tiers award it, but it looks like the new fractal was forgotten to be added into the list of fractals that are eligible for this generic daily achievement.
  11. Hello, is it only me, or any new response mission was unlocked with this update? Why they even run the event when the Ebon Response mission is not playable?
  12. Please just give us option to hide the button. Thanks. It is the most annoying button in the game, completely destroying any order in inventory.
  13. The main problem of "wanna play with same-skilled people" is that you learn nothing from them. They learn nothing from you. One of my greatest step ups in my skill was to get better people joining our "some kp" groups. At least those who were eager to share tips and knowledge, instead of pinging 250+kp and suck more than people who never did the cm, then blaming the rest of the team. So many times we had high kp guys being completely useless, and so many times quite new people were good enough to have flawless run. And many times we had extraordinary runs when better people joined and we got some new tricks into our repertoir. KP is not all, the attitude is.
  14. The big brain move after reading about problem was not to login. So we couldn't do anything for whole day, yet we are not in affected category. Feels weird.
  15. The main problem with idea of Strikes as a lure for raids is that even if those people get good there step by step, they can't access raids because the "friendly" community there will not allow them because they don't have killproofs, even if they can do dps and mechanics on par with everyone else. That is the main reason why the audience is so small. All those killproof currencies should have been abolished as step one, so people actually determined how players are good not before the fight, but during it.
