  1. It only worked the first time after driver installation. After i closed the game and restarted adrenaline no longer identifies GW2 as a DX11/DX12 application. Switched between fullscreen/windowed, doesn't make any difference, fiddled with freesync/vsync, again nothing. Using overlay to keep track of total fps. Someone said it might work again if i go into any SOTO map and only then activate AFMF but that would be a truly junky solution. Gonna test it.
  2. It's just weird that it doesn't work for GW2 but everything else works properly. Maybe it's not a proper DX11 engine port? Idk. If this was an issue across multiple titles i would be less inclined to post here but turns out so far this is the only game where it happens. Already sent a troobleshooting report to AMD but i guess it doesn't hurt to post here as well.
  3. Only worked the first time since installing the latest official driver. After that it doesn't recognize GW2 as DX11/Dx12 so it is inactive. Is this is a bug? For me it really works well in scenarios where the fps tanks (wvw zergs, pve meta events). Hope you guys can address this problem, thanks.
  4. Im writing this here so people know, on p1 if you spawn oozes or let the gravelings attack when you go in the big room with the scepter pieces npc gets aggro until you kill them.On p2 Detha is by far the buggiest NPC, if the one she follows dies she will instantly bug. On p3 after you open the tunnel to go to the last boss the gravelings will attack the npc when he passes through. You have to either kill the gravelings or skip them and kill the boss really fast b4 the gravelings kill the NPC. If the NPC gets killed, he will bug and reviving will not fix it.
  5. SC is moving to FF14, other guilds are dying, skill cap in pugs is falling, last 2 wings were to easy and people are leaving, tpot quitting along with other streamers? Do I need to name more? It's not hard to notice if you are actually raiding. Ok, so you have zero proof then. You need actual data..you know, hard evidence? This is just what you think and anecdotal experience lol. Tpot quitting? Wow, how will we EVER cope??? Communities have been a big part of the game since beta and Tpot has probably the biggest community in the game. You know, organizing stuff in open world, raids, wvw, pvp etc. And guess what, as soon as teapot moves a big part of that community is gonna go as well. You can keep on being sarcastic but it doesnt change the fact that this game is slowly falling apart. At least the MMO part of it. As for proof you dont need any. As long as you keep up with stuff, community discords, reddit etc etc you know all you need to know. We usually have 1-2 SC people raiding with us cause simply everyone else left for other better prospects. The part about the pug skill cap is also true. Doing an FC with pugs atm is a pure nightmare unless you join on a monday morning those groups that require 100 + dhumm kp . communities actually killed the raid. Like you said 100+ dhuum kp and raid seller has killed this raiding communities. I remember up until w5 came out, there were plenty of pug doing raids. I actually cleared raid in pug (never static) every week for a year and half. As soon as W5 came out, pug died. W5 was literally the pug killer, mistakes usually meant death and everyone had to know mechanics cause it could wipe the whole raid. Having one person on dhumm not knowing mechanics instantly means the raid will wipe as long as he gets any random mechanic. It's almost the same for the whole wing. To a lesser extend the same applies to wing 6, doing mistakes will at best kill you but there is a high chance you will wipe the whole raid. This is why people focused on getting static groups and moved away from pugging. And it is also why w5-w6 are probably the highest quality raids atm. Mechanically complex and punishing. As for kp, anyone is entitled to put whatever requirement they want. I can put 200kp if i want, even if no1 joins the group,it is still my right to do what i want with my squad lfg. This is just a lame excuse for people who dont wanna create their own lfg out of boredom or incompetence. I agree what you said about w5 difficulties. This game was meant to be for casual. When anet tried to mix the flavor both side suffered. The game was never meant to be casual or hardcore nor did Anet ever state anything like this. It's just that GW2 offers QoL features that no other MMO does. Ez lvling, ez gold, waypoints all over the place, account bound wardrobe, no gear-grinding with new expansions, no loot wars, no holy trinity, no subscription, no gear-dependend PvP etc etc. These attracted quite a big casual playerbase as a result. Where anet decide to focus is their decision but they never claimed the game meant to be casual even if more of the content is casual. As for raids, raids weren't created to cater to casual playing nor were they meant to be pugged, they were meant to appease the hardcore players and they nailed it with w5 even if they said they're never gonna release anything like that again.

  8. These things used to happen like a year ago, unfortunately the people you are training are supposed to take the wheel at some point and lead their own groups or at least keep the scene going but that never actually happened. Also people who had statics still joined pugs to train new classes/new builds but atm very little is changing and most of the intricacies that made builds fun are gone, almost all classes have been completely streamlined at this point. Distortion share made chrono very fun and challenging to play, staff temp/sc wh temp/staff weaver/condi engi etc etc were very risky but very rewarding hence fun... now all builds seem boring and very limited. There is no "edge" anymore. There is no point in having a class mastered. The brutal truth for me is that the first wave of raiders aka the veterans had to learn raids the hard way, no guides, no meta builds, no training communities. Just simply go in and wipe for hours until u get things done. These people came together through raids, played long hours, made communities and played for the sake of gameplay alone regardless of rewards. These are the people that still play together in discord statics, being completely fed up with lfg and just raid with their static and fullclear within 3h without breaking a sweat. My experience from leading training raids has been that the new waves of raiders arent willing to put that kind of effort, not in the slightest. They just wanna take as less responsibility as possible, afk dps on the boss and hope that some1 in the group actually gives a fuck and tries to carry if things go bad. After a while leading training groups becomes tedious cause not everyone has the same mindset in the group. You basically have 2-3 people at best who tryhard and wanna get their first kill and the rest just dont give a shit or skillclick after playing the game for years...... You realize it when u see a training group 9/10 asking for a chronotank on VG. Basically no1 wants to take the most important role, no1 wants to learn the important roles like druids pushing and entangling, every just wanna afk dps or something even if their dps is crap.Add to that, after the initial clear you actually lose gold from replaying raids as the rewards you get dont even cover your food/utility. There is, absolutely, no point on helping new people atm. The game doesnt reward you, people dont put any effort or appreciate the time a veteran puts in organizing a chaotic and long training run and anet has pretty much given up on keeping the mode even slightly competitive and exciting.
  9. not true. u can do some healing just from staff, but u get a lot of healing from kalla as well. if u camp ventari only u play rene wrong. i can agree tho, that being forced to boonstrip or share stab, handicap ur healing Locked into ventari i mean Kalla/Ventari....kalla is a given in any build nowadays so i didnt think i would need to type it...... guess i was wrong.
  10. Ren has to switch legs all the time to be effective like malyx (boon strip) or jalis (stab) and running heal means you're locked into ventari. Besides fb can heal way more consistently while giving a crap ton of boons. In the end a group that puts safety ahead of dps shouldnt really care if they lose some dps over picking fb instead of ren for heals, i mean ren heal is quite clumsy, Kalla consumes a lot of energy and tablet can be hit or miss depending on the group. Meanwhile heal fb just steamrolls any content.
  11. There is a lot of speculation here about the collection.Yes the timegate is annoying but saying that u have to play 8h a day is simply preposterous. The only part that actually takes some time is the first part of the collection (scales, sick scyscales, eggs). The second part is ez, you revive people, u kill mobs and thats pretty much it, ez and straightforward. The third part is simply feeding your skyscale which takes like 5 seconds each day. In conclusion a player who's on for 2h a day instead of 8h will take 2 days longer at most to complete the 3 parts of the collection (due to first collection). I hope the other 2 dont have additional timegate apart from the daily reset....i hope... Now as far as utility goes, skyscale with 3rd mastery is simply broken. U can refresh flight energy twice from endurance and half a bar with bond of faith. This automatically means that there is no wall that the skyscale cant climb. It's not meant to fly from point A to point B, that's the griffons job. The skyscale will basically compete with the springer (explains why anet buffed it). How good it will be remains to be seen after we max masteries. If people remember griffon without masteries was simply garbage and it became probably the best mount after we maxed the masteries.
  12. Keep in mind that while heal necro is the perfect support to keep your training group alive 24/7 even if they mess up every mechanic possible, the group will ultimately learn nothing except that "downing isnt that big of a deal since we magically get rezzed". Even if u get the kill the group wont get any actual training. On the contrary, next time, if they join a group without a heal necro to carry they'll just fail hard and still wonder what went wrong. If you are doing a pug FC and just wanna get guaranteed kills then its fine, but in training runs it just defeats the purpose.
  13. It's like 90% a sure thing. As much work they are putting into it.. no doubt it will be active soon. I think if that was the case it would be front and center, but after not posting on this thread for a bit I had to dig to even find this announcement. I can't believe no one in charge has realized what a disastrous change this stands to be; carrying a big risk of losing players and deterring future players... for little potential reward(and frankly I think the problems it may cause stand to outweigh the benefits even if it works exactly as they're hoping, which with MMOs is seldom how it goes). If I could get a response from a more official source over whether this change is certain to come to pass or not would be appreciated, as it will influence whether I'll be playing this over another MMO that has their priorities straight. Also gl with that. 99% of the MMO's have "cash grab" as their main priority and are modeled around the korean/chinese playerbase who love to grind or buy p2w items and services from the game store. Thats what MMO's have been reduced to at this moment.A lot of players talked about leaving GW2 to play other MMOs and most of them either come back to GW2 or drop the MMO genre completely. Well I'm a veteran from the original 4 so you don't need to remind me of the state of the market... regardless this change is definitely a deal breaker, and makes me sad because gw2 seemed to be the one game trying to nurture community, cooperation and a shared world rather than just instanced content. Sure community is still pretty lacking in the modern mmo environment just due to fickle, disagreeable players... but I still don't think that's cause to just COMPLETELY abolish server communities in favor of unstable, unreliable guild alliances. I worry that people just can't envision how lousy it's going to be with this new system. outside of blackgate. An alliance can probably acccomodate all the current communities underneath one respectively. Well players that actually play wvw rather than afk pip farm. Well this affects all players, not just ones that wvw; wvw is not the entirety of this game. And my point is that a server is relatively stable - guilds will come and go from alliances all the time, and alliances will disband entirely all the time; it's just the nature of player organizations, then every two months we may or may not end up on the same world as people we like playing with but aren't in the same alliance as anymore. There's a reason why in virtually all MMOs you choose your server rather than being assigned one based on some ideal server population distribution. The server system is good as long as the population is big enough to fill each and every server equally. What was a stable ground for communities to grow and play together has become the bane of WvW since the population has declined. At this point, with pretty much every guild transferring every 8 weeks to find a good match, server stability is all but gone. Just check the server rankings as servers that were 1st instantly drop to 3-4 place based on what guilds are transferring and to what server. It's already chaotic.Server linking tried to somewhat band-aid the problem yet thats all it is. A band-aid. It is just a hydrance at this point as the priority is to create better matches throughout all worlds instead of hoping for a nice link or a strong guild transfers to your server. The biggest difference is that instead of having a fixed number of servers and desperately trying to somewhat balance their match up.....now Anet will create worlds AFTER evaluating the population (play hours) so instead of having 1-2 active servers and 8 "ghost" servers, u are now gonna have "insert number" of full worlds with active population.Stability and the community factor will come through guilds and alliances. Join a guild (main wvw guild) and stick with it. Join an alliance and stick with it if u can. Having a lot of friends u play with? Make a guild with them. In the worst scenario u will have to transfer world to play with a certain someone. In the end u cant expect Anet to please every single player. It is impossible. When all is said and done im just happy that WvW is getting attention. First with the reward and pip system, leg back, leg armor etc etc and now with the restructuring.
  14. Which is one of the major pros with the system. Instead of a complicated process of shutting down servers or maintaining old ones via links, we can have different matchup sizes with 8 weeks delay. Too little population? Make 9 worlds. Even less? Make 6 worlds. More people came into WvW? Make 9 worlds again. Did a limit of 3000 per world cause queues? Make that 2000 per world instead. Simple and effective. Just set a target and shuffle. +1 to this. I cant predict the results of the restructure in the end but having an extremely flexible model on which to build the matches is miles better than what we have so far.
