  1. You had 50 pages of negative feedback on your proposed changes and went on with unjustified nerfs anyway. You handicap all necros by taking boon corrupts away which are a vital mechanic for which we already pay a huge price (and I mean all necros, not just scourges) with no justification at all. None. Shameful. Tone deaf. No words.
  2. What is ridiculous is insisting that using your elite skill on 90s CD as your only mean of defence counts as sustain. The elite should be used strategically to deliver a deadly blow not as your only means of survival. You talk about reading superficially and nit picking while you throw most people on this topic in the same pot as ignorant or in denial while trying to 1up them with a backhand excuse that really serves nobody. By the way, no one had issues with sustain in the first beta hence why people are baffled by the changes topped with mobility nerf (+elite nerf, shroud 5 nerf etc). That's all I have to say to you.
  3. Fyi: Elixir of Ambition: Still grants all possible boons to yourself on cast. Is now ground-targeted; damage and apply one stack of every damaging condition (Bleed, Burn, Confusion, Poison, Torment) for 5s to enemies in the impact area. If you are in the impact area, gain 15 Blight. Blight Threshold 10: Damage and condition duration doubled. Cooldown increased from 60s to 90s. Before you say people choose to ignore tools maybe you should also check the facts and recent updates. And even with the old 60s CD it still does not pass as argument for the sustain issue. One way to fix might be to add aegis to an elixir if they so insist on having players use that but at this point, after the mobility nerf topped to sustain issue, it's all a hot mess.
  4. Yes, nobody considered 1 aegis for which you need to sacrifice your elite skill on 90s cooldown because it doesn't even pass off as an argument for the sustain issue.
  5. I mean with a statement like that, you just made it clear you cannot be taken seriously and are here just to throw in some bad arguments with no real substance. But it's good that people notice and I quite enjoyed the rest of the conversation on the topic.
  6. I never said it cannot do damage, the problem is the ability to burst damage / one shot before it dies to no defensive abilities and lack of sustain - there isn't a skill to trade off that huge risk like for example when DE was launched landing silly 1 shot DJ (from stealth), the way you can get 1 shot by other classes while they still have access to some minimal defence (stealth, block, port you name it). You are dependant on life force and skill combos that are graphic & have a long cast time. Your example - Shroud 5-Shroud 2 is not enough to kill off someone and it assumes you start with enough life force, you are in range and fight an afk target that will not stunbreak (since they nerfed that too, if u break S5 you are now immune to the rest of it) block or whatever. I am sure you understand where I am coming from because your examples are very fair and to the point. And yes if you fail to land that S5-S2 in range (very likely with the added nerfs) especially now with no HP regen it's game over, 1 rapid fire game over etc etc.
  7. Sorry you lost me there, I never said anything about ele "being so good with it's blocks and invul" I just pointed out that the HB mechanic with absolute zero sustain makes no sense due to the disproportion between readily available burst skills that can 1 shot and the complete lack of defence. I feel like you are mixing pots too, there will be more necro players especially in wvw of course because scourge is still meta for raids and will probably remain meta. If you really insist on giving ele as an example, FA ele can 1 shot but in the same time it has invul, block, port I mean the point is fairly obvious. This isn't about "this class is better than that class" like you are trying to make it, it's just the mechanic is flawed in balancing the risk and reward that's all. And I play necro because I love the class, been playing necro since 2006 and will continue to do so, I don't go for "sure win" and again that's not the point of this topic.
  8. Nobody expects easy play, that is not the point here. The "glass cannon - no defence" approach (literally null defence in this case) makes little sense because in the case of necro there isn't a readily accessible combo that can one shot, it's mostly buildable or dependant on life force. Every other one shot class has minimum access to some form of defence, be it stealth, block, invul and so on. Personally, I have been playing power reaper only since its launch, I don't endorse passive play builds, and while reaper does crazy good dmg it's always down to landing a combo (like cc in rs4) and even that has some form of sustain... There's no gunflame, death's judgement and so on that could justify this literal null defence trade off.
  9. This paired with mobility nerf are truly senseless changes. You now have a shroud with no damage reduction, blight stacks mean less HP, no defensive utilities & wep skills (block, invul, aegis etcetcetc) and mobility close to on par with reaper (which has 1 leap but can chill). To me the hp regen was "planned passive" not mindless passive because you had to balance off time spent in shroud to gain blight with the regeneration, was a worthy trade-off. There is no justification for this "glass cannon - no defense" approach since you really do not have simple one shot combo and it's mostly buildup and life force dependant. They are trying to force people to play elixirs but I doubt many would opt for them regardless?
  10. Harbinger changes make no sense. The nerf in mobility make it on par with reaper but with less sustain - yes, reaper has 1 leap but can perma chill, there's nothing stopping enemies from chasing or kitting you on HB. The heal nerf just obliterates sustain and the trade offs make little to no sense - even with the added bonuses I doubt many people will pick elixirs over core utilities. The heal trait is seen as passive but for me it was an interesting balance game of trading off blight for regen and the amount of time you spent in shroud was heavily influenced by that.
  11. Yes on paper that sounds about right. However, reaper can close to perma chill enemies so if you look at it from this angle it actually changes the perspective radically. There is nothing stopping enemies from kitting or chasing you on HB, very little access to snares. I also believe the new update is hugely disappointing, the passive heal out of shroud was the major plus for HB and the 600 range nerf feels truly unnecessary.
  12. I am also experiencing this again, since the last update. It makes the game unplayable, truly frustrating. It's not my mouse for sure. Did anyone find any solutions?
  13. woaw... /slowclap insert I must act patronising stating the obvious to sound superior never seen that before, nope What did you expect? You gambled and lost then complained on the forums. We get these threads at least twice a week and the response remains the same. Gamble if you're fine with losing. Or even better, don't support lootboxes by gambling. At least don't come to the forums complaining about losing at gambling.Get off your high horse mate :) In 14 years of GW I never had such bad luck trying to unlock an item, it was pure curiosity at what other people experienced, simple as that. Bye now :)
