  1. If you want a griffon, then get a griffon. i have the griffon and it is only 1/4 the effort plus the part where it is not gated and needs absolutely no map currency.250 of each map currency or 250G. Pretty sure the map currency is far easier when alting.
  2. I think they're happier with Dragon Fall than the other metas because actually getting the dragon fall rewards from the chests requires you to do events on the map for keys. I'd say it's less likely to be severely nerfed because of that. I mean, compare that with Auric Basin or Istan where you drop onto the map 5 minutes before the meta, blast through it getting quick loot then jump onto the next meta without needing to invest any time on the map. I hope so. I actually enjoy the time spent in Dragonfall and the profit from it is really icing on the cake. There are some cycles where I only gather keys (sitting on about 80 right now) and do it to just help other people get their stuff.
  3. I'd rather spend the gold to buy a bag slot and put another 18 in it. The cost to craft anything larger is absurd. I can get an 18 for 2G or a 20 for 10G... 8G more for an extra two slots? No thank you.
  4. Dragonfall, for sure is a major contender for money making. I fully expect ANet to nerf it into oblivion eventually. 9 chests after destroying the wounds plus another 27 chests for completing the boss rush that follows. Plus three chests after securing a camp as well as killing a mender siphoning Ley-Energy. That's a ton of unidentified gear bags to open and salvage from just one cycle (about an hour and a half of time investment). And you can do as many cycles as you want, from what I can tell. I've opened nearly or over 100 chests in a day, some days. Then there's the Trophy Cases you can purchase from the Mistwarden vendor for 250 VM and 1G. Those give a ton of mats and you'll double or triple your money on those. I bought 130 of them today (130G investment) dropping me to 4G ended with over 300G from selling the mats.
  5. I'm hoping it's a story that fleshes the Norn out a bit. Right now, they just seem like oversized humans that prefer to keep to themselves. Would love to see the Koda become a playable race too.
  6. How does that particular story part stop you getting a griffon mount.. curious, much I am. It doesn't. I think they're confusing Griffon with Skyscale. You don't even have to complete it to get to Chapter Six of Season 4, if you don't want to, as far as I know.
  7. I've taken two characters through map completions recently and gotten, I think, three keys total. It feels worse but streaks happen. Transmutation Stones galore, though. Got a couple hundred of those now.
  8. First time poster here for me, as wells: Edit: Apparently third time. I forgot I've posted here before. For me, the Skyscale is the perfect mix of Griffon, Springer and Jackal. It has the ability to traverse long distances like the Griffon, except it does not require a high altitude starting point to stay in the air. It is slower than a griffon, though, as it can not do a dive or the extra fast Dive+Flap for fast speed. It outperforms the Springer in verticality once upgraded fully. It can rise straight up, higher than a Springer and that's before using wall clinging to boost up even higher. Lastly, it's barrel-roll is comparable to a Jackal, allowing you to speedily dodge past enemies. The Skyscale has replaced my traveling mounts for 90% of things. I only use Griffon to get somewhere fast if I need to, such as the Dragonfall Boss Rush. And I use Skimmer when I don't think I can get from one shore to the other.
  9. The same with Taimi. By god, if they kill off Taimi... I don't know what I'll do.
  10. I really wish ANet had pre-downloads. Let me download the update about two days early so that I won't have to wait until they bring the servers down to implement it.
