  1. Firstly, I really REALLY like Eir. She's a great norn hunter and a great woman. But she is not without flaws and is not afraid of admitting it. That's why I really like her. She also never leaves her past mistakes to just go by, she tries to correct all of her mistakes even if sometimes she is not successful to do so a.k.a. getting impaled. All of this, without being arrogant too. Total opposite of some canthan genius that we knew later on 🙄 That's why in the words of Will Smith. "keep my favorite norn's name out your f*** mouth" 😁 Oh Roxy. Her life was so bland that in the reunion her only contribution was "I have a boyfriend now" 😆 Back to the point. Yes I agree with you on this one. Whenever a male is a bad guy, they are always irredeemably disney villain archetypes. But same can't be said for the other side. Notice too all the "bad dragons" are guys and the "good dragons" are women. Also, I noticed that in these encounters sometimes when a female is correct(undoubtably correct at that), they are the most screamish in your face i'm right you're wrong type of people. Some example at the top of my head: Gang War at Echovald Kestrel Zuru was a closed minded traditional old man. He was disagreeing with all of what Kestrel Ayumi has to say. In the end, when they successfully defeated the mech, Zuru was proven wrong. Zuru was due in for an apology when suddenly - Ariana blurts out and yells YOU'RE AN kitten. I mean everything was already going nicely and conversations were settling down then this Ariana swoops in and ruin the mood by being the center of attention hey I was right and he was wrong guys! She kinda reminds me of Meena from Sing in a way. Not even the Ayumi who was more affected by Zuru did not say anything like that. I like Ayumi, she's level headed all the way.
  2. Before the comment gets drowned in that other thread and for more chances the devs or other forum people to notice. Reiterating it here. I got the inspiration from @Alcatraznc.3869 Rework the gyro to have similar mechanic as the ventari tablet. Press once to summon and do it's (retain well like function) effects. Then press again and point to ground to move the effect around. Much like project tranquility. No AI needed hence no clunky pathing, and no health bar to get killed and negate its effects. You also still have full of control of it: you get to choose the direction of blast gyro knockback. Plus you'd actually have an actual and fully sized gyro around unlike a miniscule lump floating above your head. Associated toolbelt: if the gyro is active, effect is done within the gyro's radius. if it is not, effect is done within the player's radius instead. Function gyro: torn between not changing it's current mechanic or do a pulsing revive similar to druid's glyph of the stars that you can move around. With this in mind, maybe this can also be carried over to the catalyst where the jade sphere/animal can move around if you're still within the same attunement. But with all changes, it must be tested out thoroughly.
  3. Oooh interesting take! I like it. Though my interpretation of it is more akin to the ventari tablet. Press once to summon and do it's effects. Then press again and point to ground to move the effect around. Much like the tablet! No AI needed hence no clunky pathing, and no health bar to get killed and negate its effects. You also still have full of control of it: you get to choose the direction of blast gyro knockback. Plus you'd actually have an actual gyro around unlike a miniscule lump floating above your head.
  4. Who is Bobby Stein? Mmmm life...plausible since she did bring life to the other elder dragons True twisted horrors might not have been hers but she couldn't have been minionless as that would be bizarre all the other dragons have at least 1 type of minion, even aurene. If she really didn't have minions, wish anet could explain as to why she didn't. Like was it a morale thing or a limitation of her nature or whatever. Agreed elder dragons have hive mind but with their minions, not with other dragons. 1. If that was the case, aurene need not to speak or limit the conversation with bangar as voice of jormag in that magic cage. 2. The pact also shouldn't have a hard time tracking dragons since they had aurene and she should have always known their location and their motives. Or are you saying they have innate telepathic link as a means of communication with other elder dragons and choose to turn on/off, not hive mind, because hive mind means they would know what the others are thinking at all times and would basically think alike as well. To which case if they had a link, point #1 shouldnt have existed. If they had hive mind , point #2 shouldnt have existed. Makes a lot of sense actually. Thanks for bouncing ideas with me!
  5. WVW zerging has no place for AI pets. Mechanist will never be part of a zerg. Pet specializations are unfair for small scale or pvp scenarios too. They will only be good for pve content. Deal with it because no matter what adjustments can be made to the mechanist it will always be an AI reliant specialization and will only be used in pve.
  6. Last rant: why was soo won so small compared to all the other elder dragons!? she is the water dragon and creatures found in deep waters are gigantic because their growth can't be hindered by their weight because the water can support all that. with the exception of kralk who absorbed so much from the other dragons, look at zhaitan and mordy vs soo won. she's so petite and it really doesnt jive with being a creature from the deep!
  7. I don't know if this was already posted but what were soo won's domain and minions? In the original storyline it was thought that soo won a.k.a. deep sea dragon was responsible for making the krait, quaggan, karka, and largos to flee their home back in the unending ocean, even believed to kill mellagan. But then, in the EoD story line we learned that soo won was a benevolent dragon much like glint and aurene so it wasn't her that caused all that ruckus. Also, why didn't we see any of her minions? where were the twisted horrors or whatever they could have been? Pretty sure because she was awake in the story she could have had her minions help out joon or cantha in some shape or form. Lastly, regarding her domain. The dragons has always had 2 domains. Soo Won's was never explored, we just knew she had domain over water because of her affinity to it. No airdrop my thoughts to PC and aurene. I always wondered why Soo Won was able to get in touch with aurene as far as the eye of the north thru telepathy. Wasn't mordremoth the one with telepathy because his domain was mind? Even jormag can't do that and it had to use a specialized minion to communicate his/her propaganda. In that regard too, if soo won have always had this ability why didn't she get in touch with her other children(or at least she didn't mention she tried to do so, implying she never could have) to I don't know...be better I guess? Just kidding. All these questions might have been answered in game but can some lore buff give an insight to all these questions please? Thank you.
  8. I don't know if it has already been posted but I know the bug is still there. When you use your mount's engage ability then immediately dodge, you'll use the regular dodge roll instead.
  9. Adding resolution would be great for spellbreaker considering it was melee oriented boonstrip (circa 2022).
  10. I think the monk has already been fulfilled (with the game's current system) as willbender
  11. as far as I can tell, the block of tofu is an "on kill" food and thus, will provide it's bonus upon a kill within a set time, not a set number of charge. I was on my vindicator(if the class helps) doing meta today and my block of tofu food buff keeps on turning into malnourished within seconds/minutes of consuming it.
  12. I think scrapper's initial intent was a cc class back when it was released. I was actually thinking about this and exactly what you said that scrapper is now all about superspeed/quickness which does not seem appropriate for the specialization theme/lorewise. Should have been something they throw their weight around for damage and cc type of thing.
  13. Winds IMO was a true elite skill in game. It can turn the tide of a wvw clash if well placed and well timed. But make a tiny mistake and your winds are just a decoration on the side of the battle field. As elite skills should be, they are supposed to be non spammable to a certain extent, longer casting time vs regular utility skills, and most important of all, should have a noticeable impact on an outcome of a fight *cough*jaunt*cough*, which WoD ticks all of. I just hope anet balance team reconsiders their decision. The specialization has almost no use in pve and now it's being thrown off the wvw zerg boat because for sure other class can now break spells better.
  14. I literally gasped when I saw the WoD nerf!
