This is such a typical pvp'er response and not at all helpful. Like the OP, I too, have issues with being forced to "play" a part of the game, that I personally don't agree with. I need the Gift of Battle to craft my PvE weapon. In order to get that I am FORCED to WvW. This has taken me a week, NOT 5-8hrs! I play daily. Every map I go to, no matter what time of day/night, is either dead or has no commander or general structure. Roaming and capping camps are all fine and dandy to say, but getting PK'd by a large group is just no fun. Why does it take 20 people to kill 1?

They did this in Ultima Online years and years ago. There used to be tons of people that would hang out at Brit Bank and other major hubs. When the invasion came it ghost towned those areas. Coupled with the release of WoW, at the time, it was pretty much a game killer. (Yes, I know it is still playable.)

But..........they DID say there would never be mounts, too. Can't wait to start decorating my 'real' HOME, next!

This is the answer take away any tracked achievement and it will be back. Yep, home on lunch break and this is exactly what happened. I have been tracking my Skyscale stuff. Hopped on, popped off tracking and there it was. Thanks guys. That's why I wanted to check the forums first before going all-in tech-wise. Moderator, please close.

I believe that THIS (less the spouce/friends part, at least for me) is the quintessential answer.For me, I have spent an ungodly amount of money supporting this game, as a casual, and yet have managed to keep playing these past 7 years. I could say that the $$ keeps me from quitting, but I spent a lot of money on WoW ('original' back in the day, not this watercolor kitten they have now). I have also taken a couple of long breaks too (I missed the whole Scarlet-destroys-LA bit).Being able to come back as if I were never gone is the biggest draw. Love this game.

For the last month or so my Daily Achievements list in the upper right corner of the screen has disappeared. I have scoured the Options settings to see what is ticked off/on to make this happen, but have found nothing. Help?? (NOTE: I have been playing since release. I know it goes away after completing the Daily Achievements meta and Dailies themselves. The problem is that it is no longer EVER present on my UI.) Thanks!!
