  1. Not sure how much changed but NA was basically 99% HB/DivRen/BS/2DPS for pugs, and HealRen + QB always was/is more dps than that AFAIK (highest dps being no healer at all), but people tend to just copy/paste builds with 0% BD and trying to memorize a 1-2-3 rotation when things are not that simple, and that's when it goes downhill, can't just copy-paste if you don't have the same experience/awareness and realistically pull 50% of golem benchmark and constantly get lost on skill priorities. No doubt that HB + DivRen is more convenient to just run through stuff daily when pugging, but about "win dps against a golem and lose utility" it'll depend on what kind of parties are people playing with as well as what fractals/instabilities, there's no point running so much support when bosses are basically perma-cc'd and phases are just a few seconds, which is true for a lot of Fractals, but indeed it's a lot of difference from group to group, i remember so much people would get stuck on Siren's Reef last boss because they just refuse to adapt and change a skill/trait... One fractal that a lot of support/survivability is always welcome IMO is Mai Trin. Crazy stab uptime on Skorrvald also isn't really needed if people know what they're doing, the anomalies barely have time to attack once, and 33% phase is fast enough that just F3 Tome on QB was enough stab, definitely harder if people are doing 10k ish dps, but the dps checks to skip mechs on GW2 tend to be easy. I guess there isn't much of a TL;DR, you need to know how to adapt to every situation by knowing the fractal/instabs, your class as well as other classes and what can others bring in case you're stuck or having a hard time with something, gearing is easy once you're doing Fractals/Raids so it's always worth a shot trying build variations of a class you already know the basics, as well as gearing other classes and learning them even if just a little bit, and experience will come with time.
  2. The Might only affects 5 people but yes, you have access to every boon in the game but Alacrity, and can sustain >20 Might, 100% Quickness, 100% fury, 100% swiftness, 100% regen, good uptime on Protection with Legendary Lore (on Fractals the Ren covers protection), on-demand Aegis and good Stability uptime, plus a lot of Resistance with Tome 3 #4, pretty important for stuff like Siren's Reef.
  3. It's still important and very good, but if you need to choose between quickness and alacrity then quickness is a no-brainer, though only chrono brings both, but it's really common and easy to find alacrity renegades. If you rather play Chrono then you can still LFG for either a Druid or a Healbrand (then you can drop quickness well for disenchanter/mimic or another relevant utility). For pugging i'd say Healbrand is by far the build with the most carry-capability and utility, i don't really do PvP/WvW so can only say about PvE, and for Fractals you'll definitely want to be as close to 100% as you can, it'll come in handy in many situation, specially high pressure fights or people not stacking properly, and you don't really have to sacrifice anything to reach 100% on it, for Raids you don't need as much since you'll usually have a Chrono extending boons, Druid doing might etc. And there's no problem having multiple firebrands in the same group, as long as they're not all playing Healbrand (unless the group can't clear with a single healer, but it shouldn't ever be needed). It can also be extremely useful for large events, though obviously as a healer you won't have a lot of personal DPS, you can cover pretty much every single boon and make things way easier and faster by buffing people, reflecting, pulling mobs, etc.
  4. For Fractals, Firebrand is much higher in demand, Healbrand for pugs and cQB/pQB for higher-end groups, rarely see any Chrono nowadays in fractals though it's still way better than having no quickness or alacrity at all, and it still brings good utility, but definitely doesn't carry as hard as a Healbrand, nor does as much DPS as a Quickbrand. For Raids, most squads run at least 1 Chrono (as tank), Firebrand is still used a lot in raids as offhealer (Healbrand) or quickness support with great dps (cQB), so can't really go wrong with any of them. I'd also recommend berserker/diviner mix for boon Chrono, giving boons is just using 3-4 skills off cd and there's a lot of free time to do DPS, difference is pretty big between a harrier Chrono not dps'ing vs a bers/div one just autoattacking and using sword phantasm, i usually see boon chronos around 2k~ on Raids when it can reach >10k+ without much effort.Pug VG example, here i'm running 50% BD and Danger Time, though gear is a bit different than SC build, just put together my old fractal armor and random assassin/zerk trinkets and ended up being close to the meta build, phase DPS was around 18k.For Fractals i'd say go for 100% BD or at least 90% if you're playing a support like Fb/Chrono/Ren. As for Fb support i'd recommend this if you need to hard carry groups, traits marked in red you can swap if you feel it'd be more useful depending on the situation, personally i run Empowering Might and camp axe more and run Seraph trinkets as well, can do pretty decent DPS without really losing anything. This has less healing but Signet share (216 power for 10s for your group) and more CC, good if your party has no problem staying alive and the pDps can benefit from the extra power. Recommended weapons for both are Staff + Axe/Shield, i usually run SYG and Cleanse Mantra as default, though it all depends on the Fractal and instabilities, there's no point running SYG on Thaumanova for example, so if you need more healing, swap for Bow of Truth, if you need CC, then Bane Signet/Hammer of Wisdom, etc.
  5. Not much you can do, maybe try dx12 but it's an old engine, multiple player models and shadows will lower FPS by a lot and no computer is able to run maxed at >60FPS in crowded places, if you're not satisfied with performance try lowering Character model limit/quality and Shadows and see if it gets better.
  6. Check your windows power plan to see if your CPU is running at 100%
  7. Even though Heal ren + Quickbrand is better than Healbrand + Diviner ren, most people don't know/understand that and just copy whatever they see the most, so Diviner is your best bet for PvE.
  8. Either April Fool's or something broke, just did Cairn and greens never disappeared so it had like 30+ circles after a while.
  9. Swiftness/fractal pot, stunbreak, superspeed, self-cleanse, mobility skills, many options available to help you move, though even on T4 you don't need any mobility skill and can just run and still have like 10 spare seconds.
  10. Nothing decent, just 20-slot bags and reselling breather recipes
  11. Yeah, with those graphic settings i'd recommend trying low/lowest for Character model limit/quality and low for Shadows and see what results you get, sadly no computer can handle those too well on crowded areas, Native instead of Supersampling might have some effect as well but i'd leave it for last, and keep reflections for Terrain & Sky only. Performance sounds ok, those 3 first options i mentioned will have the biggest impact by far on performance, and 1700x isn't that great on single-core. For people saying "i get 150 fps on X place" it doesn't really mean much if you don't post your graphic settings, i can go from 180 to 45 FPS at the same place just from changing Char model limit/quality and Shadows, literally only 3 options.
  12. Yeah, results will depend on silicon lottery, i think 4.9-5ghz should be enough performance, could reach 5.1-5.2 easier with the KS (better binning) but i think it starts not being worth for running 24/7 due to high voltage and likely high temps, also more expensive, though YMMV and you might have a great chip and enough cooling, just watch out for high voltages/temps and you'll be fine.
  13. Take a screenshot of your graphic settings
