Hate the way legendary weapons work, I just re-bought ascended and slapped multiple 5g+ sigils on them even though I have legendary sigils unlocked to save the hassle of filtering and reapplying stats, infusions and sigils every time, so I can swap offhand/mainhands on the fly like it used to work. It makes no sense either to waste money on char based equipment template slots just to do this inefficiently. The armory is a failure on this part.

Some cable fault I guess. Some ISPs use that cable, some don't. Then again some games have no issue since they use different routing too. Anet usually says it is your ISP and your ISP usually can't do anything about it, so you'd have to either use a VPN (tricky with GW2) or switch ISP until one is good with gW2's routing.

Unplayable again from SEA, used to be good for awhile (200-300ms), now back to 500-1k ping and code 42 for friend list/TP.

Played GW2 on and off since 2013, years ago I had these 4k ping spikes that made me quit the game because it as unplayable. Last December ping was a perfect 270-300 on NA (consider that perfect for SEA players lol) at all times, then 1-2 weeks into January you get the 1-4k ping again (but only during the day/night, go figure), ping miraculously goes back to 270 at around 2am and lasts a few hours which doesn't make sense.. Nobody else was hogging the connection locally either. I don't use any VPN so I just quit the game when the ping is 1k+. Not sure how to fix it since it is likely a routing issue between the server and ISPs, and the major ISP doesn't care and I can't change ISPs. I think it is the major reason why I haven't bought EoD yet.

It definitely is not normal, normal ping for SEA is 200-300 on days when the connection was good, now it is very rare. It is most likely due to the faulty undersea cables again, or at least the route to Anet servers. Also during the early AM hours it can suddenly be perfect ping 200-300 (at least for SEA), but after that it is 1k-4k ping. There isn't much you can do if using VPN gets you a ban, except wait for the cable to be fixed. Anet will always ask you to fix your side of the connection first, or change ISP etc, because the servers are mostly fine for NA/EU connections, it is only some areas that are affected for few months, that is the time when I quit GW2 and come back later.. even years later haha.
