  1. in an ideal world: of course. in a safe street: yes, as long as the orphan stays in the safe street, and the criminal stays out. in a safe world country state city town neighbourhood: mebbe in tyria: no in most of the real world: theory is irrelevant. and until you have the ability to make the word a safe place (with ...... bigger guns btw), no the only way to enforce a relatively-safe zone for kids is to have bigger guns intel than and good intel on the criminal. big-nose ted lived just down the street from the orphanage and hospital, for goodness sake. you had to choose whether to save the kids from fire or save the sick from fire ....

Activity: 1sec-to-7min of semi-afk (if u r really unlucky as the 1st person entering scramble and didn't then exit to do other things) Alternative new idea that anet comes up with that has a similar niche: something stupider that is less universally accessible and makes ppl hate you Btw ty to the people who complained that starter zone bosses were too easy. Now they are 10x beefier and 10^2 x more boring. And still as worthless.
  4. A kidney could probably provide for your gaming needs for quite a few years tho. It would also lower your body weight, and you only need to worry about taking care of 1 kidney after that. AND you can reunite with your char. It's like, perfect-ish. Less than perfect, but still a pretty good deal.
  5. it used to happen infrequently, but its been very bad today. it was ok as recently as 14hrs ago (before i slept). it has been like this since i turned on gw2 today (1hr ago). ref: server time is 12.15pm right now, 13nov can't remain logged in for more than 3min (usually as short as 3 sec) does not happen for any other game. windowed/full doesn't affect. Edit: this first triggered near the end of teq, and after that, the game would crash each time I tried to relogin. There would be a few (2 to 6) streaks of white black white beams flickering across screen then the game would crash. This was resolved after I rebooted comp, for the 3hrs of various activity such as bounties, shatterer (I did not do any other major grp activities after that other than shatterer weekly, which takes less group time than teq). I have no IT knowledge. Is this some kinda flushing issue?
  6. it can be deeply frustrating depending on the time zone. if it were just 1 bounty for a weekly, it might not be as bad, but because everyone's weeklies are desynced (at least 3 types for just pure-pve alone), it really depends on what timezone u r in, weekday(since it resets on monday)/weekend, are there people who need the weekly for the exact same map as u (ie same combi of expansions unlocked, which is stupid), because they won't be back once they've completed their 3. 1) good for those who are in a timezone with sufficient players who happen to be in the map at the same time for similar purpose 2) good for those who had their lfgs fill quickly 3) good for those who can solo/duo (im not being sarcastic. im glad for you) but its been a terrible experience the past few weeks (since they started) for those who, for various reasons, end up waiting a very long time and still can't find ppl to do them with. i have experienced completing it real quick, taking an hour to complete it cos the map is dead, and giving up after trying for separate 1hour-periods p.s. it also makes no sense that there is a difference, but a comm tag has a bigger draw than a mentor tag.
  7. i dont have eod and thats an issue for me too. quite annoyed. Edit: confirmed other ppls' info that the overlapped objective counts for 2 weeklies, so not annoyed any more, quite happy
  8. I dun farm so gold is not easy for me. I get cash shop functions and skins with cashgems, and in-game skins with gold-gold, with a little bit of converting gold-to-gems if I'm short of a lil gems

For the low low price of 101g, you can choose from 1 of 5(?) smashing locations that you can decorate and fill with various furniture and keepsakes, and you can travel there from anywhere anytime you like. You can even fit a beetle race track and jps within. P.s. it's not that I don't commiserate. I want my own inquest battle cruiser that I can park in any sky, which interior I can decorate as I like.
  10. There's some easy reasons how players get to t4 without learning some mechanics. Those particular fracs were not comparable to other fracs in the same tier, whether in terms of complexity, time required, wipe=reset, etc. The rewards weren't greater, the stress was a grater, a smorgasbord of gamework that not many would look forward to after a tiring day at work. So they tried it, never completed it (with their own strength) in t1 after several aborted tries, parties get dissolved after fails, and they never gradually learnt and practiced the mechanics. Then when they leave t1, they can't do the frac at t2 or t3, and their parties are unlikely to want to go back to do it at t1 cos, yknow, why suffer through that to get a t1 box when for the same amount of time every day you t1+t2 boxes from other fracs. The design philosophy for t1 should be to teach mechanics (with a guarantee of success after repeated tries IE boss healthbar should have checkpoints and not reset fully), and T2 onwards would be about tuning up the difficulty. I do also feel that the harder new fracs should be in a separate category (similar to how they scaled the frac point rewards in the recent frac rush), so that you can have 3 normal-grade frac dailies and 1 special grade frac daily, with a possible option of giving up partway through the boss fight and receiving a consolation reward (perhaps a handful of relics or bags, nth valuable), based on cumulative damage to the boss or progress on the boss. And the purpose is to entice ppl to keep trying and to learn.

I want a personal inquest battle cruiser with yamato guns, a golem mk IV rapid deploy landing unit, that chopper/carrier unit from drizzlewood, other racial battle armours (charr beast bots, veggie treants, watchnight constructs, Norn booze parties), hover skiffs with Gatling guns and beam cannon to blow kitten up, mounted jousting, my alts and mounts lazing around in my home instance and in my personal inquest battle cruiser with yamato guns and inquest overseer throne.   12. I beg to differ. Teq's breather is a nice bonus 5g-ish on tp. I know people sneer at a mere 5g, but I am poor. It also helps maintain your guise as a Tyrian native. Otherwise those bubbles coming from your armpits and back could out you as an alien spy
  13. 1. I do think more could be done to advertise the event to a wider audience. I don't mean making them aware that something was going on (basically some new non-time-limited perm content, like most system mails do "yo someone or other wanna talk to you") but to emphasize that a time-limited content was up from X to Y. 2. I am glad I didn't miss any week. I did mention it during frac rush week and in lion arch from time to time because I felt that there would be ppl who didn't realise it was time limited, and there were 3. I did have some trouble finding the correct NPC, then I gave heartfelt thanks (in my heart) to our wonderful wiki contributors 4. I still don't think there's much, if any, grounds for blaming anet if the individual missed this event 5. I do think anet could consider adding 1 bonus week (with reused locations if needed, and reduced/no 4th week rewards if needed) to help players hit the 3 week milestone, purely out of goodwill and not obligation
  14. They could let us use the underwater weapons while on certain mounts (skimmer, raptor, jackal) By limiting it to these 3 (and recycling), it might not need much work. Just imagine using a trident on a skimmer underwater, or jousting spear on a raptor, or spear with a jackal teleport. Not all 5 skills need to be available. You could also play jousting with the mounted mobs. It could add options for in-game adventures and locale special events too. There could be an accuracy penalty, basically an excuse to reduce the DPS while mounted, so people will still have to dismount for elites and up, or soloing vets (To be more specific, they would trawl the underwater skills of the 9 professions for skills that make a bit of sense on land, such as 4shot harpoon, 8stab spear. And probably just give everyone the same skill sets, either in slots 3-5, or in the utility slots. It will not be good DPS, it's more for poking holes in small mobs, or just general clowning around)

Depends on what the intended purpose for this round was My observation was that t1 n t2 lfgs filled relatively fast (it's usually dead) even 16hrs after reset and few hrs just before reset, and there were several fractal rank climb lfgs. There were also many returnees (with omnipot, in t1), likely to be there for nostalgia, but which resulted in bringing oldies and newbies together, to guide the newbies. At the end of the frac rush week, I would think there was a considerable number of fresh blood who can not only access t2 lfg, but have also received guidance into mechanics, and started investing into AR gear. So what is in it for t4cm loyalists? A passive tiny reward, and an infusion of new blood into beginner fracs, some of whom will eventually climb to t4cms to replenish the t4 player pool
