Lizdeath.5143's Achievements

  1. Going to copypaste the excerpt from Customer Support, as it will shed more light on the situation, but the nutshell is I made economic decisions based on the repeatability of the achievement and rewards as listed, and regardless, I'm down a Gift of Seitung because of this and want my Gift of Seitung. "We would first like to mention, that as with all achievements, you are only able to obtain the Illuminating Seitung Province achievement once on the account. It is not possible to gain the achievement again. As the Illuminating Seitung Province was already completed on the character, Graveling Cendra, you will not be able to use another character to complete the achievement and receive the rewards a second time." Based on this, I shouldn't have been able to repeat it period, but its repeatable. Gift of Canthan Maps are also exchangeable for Lamplighter's Badges. presumably to ensure adequate supply and that supply doesn't dry up permanently., and are exchangeable 1:1. With this in mind, I quickly enough finished the achievement in Seitung, converted to ghelp DCA my Lamplighter's Badges for making a Gen 3 Legendary Weapon, because I knew I would be able to get it back, because why wouldn't I? I was short gold and needed mats. Fast forward to the second run of ISP (Illuminating Seitung Province), and I don't appear to have a reward as I'm working through my boxes, with inventory search revealing the lack of notable rewards. So either the gifts are unintended to be repeatable awards, in which case make it like World Completion gifts where there is only a single use for them, or the achievement is not intended to be repeatable, in which case do exactly the same thing. Players shouldn't be burning extremely limited resources for a mere 3.5g Regardless, I want my Gift of Seitung Province back, whether the one I exchanged for a Lamplighter's Badge, or the one I was supposed to receive and didn't. That is only a minor short term issue for me though, and the bigger issue is potentially toxic game design. @GM Zippy the Wonder Squirrel seems to know more about this than I do, so if there are any gaps in what I have reported, please do not hesitate to fill them in.
  2. Turns out the real reason has to do with the guild. You can either hire guild member voice actors or non guild member voice actors for a project, but guild member actors are not allowed to work on projects where roles their members can play are being given to non members. More relevant is that they are required by their guild to only do recording in a professional studio environment. Nothing to do with money, everything to do with policy. Guild policy might change because of covid, but in general guilds and unions look out for the best interest of their members and I support their existence.
  3. I disagree with this. Why not have they record at home, include the substandard voice overs, and accept it as part of what the plague does to society. I hope you are at least paying them retainer fees.
  4. Where can I find a collection of sheet music for GW2, the equivalent of the Final Fantasy X Piano Collection sheet music book, but for Guild Wars 2. Please note I am not looking for music for in game instruments, I play a real world flute, and in game tab of Final Fantasy X Piano Collection is useless to me. I don't mind paying for a licensed collection, but have no interest in paying for unlicensed transcription of in game music (this means any site that sells user uploaded sheet music is out of the question, as that stops being something done for the love of music, and starts being an act of piracy).
  5. Legendary Armoury visual effects being able to be turned on and off would be nice As would a footfall skin slot whose skins are only unlocked by having unlocked the corresponding legendary weapon.
  6. Why they literally said in the road map blog from last week that the next update after Visions will be SAB not Visions will come with SAB? I have a reading related learning disability, it happens. Plus others I know also misread it and thought it was this patch
  7. What I'd like to see would be aquatic weapons usable on land, and land weapons usable underwater. Imagine harpoon gun engi specialization
  8. Yeah, I've failed to get achievement credit on all the Kodan Trails except the first category I've done. I give up on this achievement, not sure if bugged or what, but its too frustrating to keep caring. First time an achievement has ended up on my "I'll attempt this" blacklist.
  9. Iunno, some of Joko's lines certainly made me look back on story thusfar, and has me interested in seeing where they'll take that. Joko made some good points, morality isn't cut and dry, and that instance had some interesting foreshadowing potential, especially when taken into context with S3.
  10. Distributed over a number of buyers, the cost is negligible. Environmental lines would be worth trivial amounts if tacked on to a current recording session. Keep in mind that $1 million distributed over 1 million people is $1.
  11. This so much. They don't even have to do it all at once. They could record an extra environment line here and there during recording sessions and add them as a slow patch by patch overhaul. Additional voices would be cool, but I'd expect to pay to unlock them for the account, as that's a lot of dialogue lines to record. They could do it as race/sex voice packs (Charr Male voice pack), and have 10 things for some amount of gems where you could buy all of them for the price of an expansion, say 240 gems per pack. It would allow players to buy voice packs for their most commonly played character type. How many VAs do they have on contract?Sadly, a voice pack won't work because your character speaks in so much of the game. I'd argue that it'd be more jarring to hear a different voice while in the story, and after paying money for a voice pack, there'd be complaints. There's too much dialog already to redo all the old chapters. It's a nice idea, but impractical.Sorry, I thought that it would be implied that a voice pack would be for every line in the game, there would be absolutely no sense in producing one otherwise. Different concept than adding more environmental lines.

Can pretty easily add to the inventory of environmental lines and make that personality flair a thing by adding a few lines here and there each recording session. As for the outrunning a centaur being a charm thing, I seem charm as being associated with being likeable and deception, dignity as being uncorruptable, and intimidation as being about punching through barriers. Each have their strengths and character flaws. Environmental lines seems like a good budget solution to make it relevant.
  13. No thanks. I love much of the ambience, I usually only play Asura and can relate to the lines. Statistically speaking, statistically speaking is a rather common phrase I use. All I have to say about outrunning centaurs is that, as an archer, a good marksman doesn't need to, as it would only take one arrow to cripple it and make its land speed irrelevant. Most things aren't irritating, and most things have quite a bit of charm.
  14. Sure NPC dialogue would be amazing, I'm just hoping for a dignified version of "I can outrun a centaur" or "might makes right," the ambient player character monologue. Charr aren't muscle with no brain, they're the best engineers, and clearly quite intelligent. The Norn also aren't just muscle, they're religious and have a connection to nature. Feeling like that Charm/Dignity/Intimidation was meaningful would be nice, and could be achieved with ambient player character lines. The more humble "Who knew I could run this fast?" would be a great Dignity or Charm alternative to the Intimidation boasting of "I can outrun a centaur!"
