  1. The Mecha Legs change doesn't mean a whole lot to me because I take Tools for swiftness anyway, but it is sad that now its just a copy paste of Resilient Roll. Bunker Down was just straight gutted for healers though. You could argue that old Bunker Down was more effective for coordinated groups while MDF was designed for open world. Now at best it's just a self sustain trait.
  2. The problem was the balance team would have to spend effort to make the 70% of the rune effect roster not missing. We can't have that.
  3. Why take Rocket Turret for it's CC when its on a 40 second cooldown, or Battering Ram for its 20x2, when you can take Big Ol Bomb for its 17 second cooldown and the highest damage auto attack. That the problem. It's too biased and forces you in one direction if you want to even be halfway efficient.
  4. If racial skills are so bad that no one wants to use them and this is by design, why even bother putting them in the game?
  5. The last video card that supports only up to DirectX 9 were the Geforce 7000 series cards, with the most recent in that lineup being the 7950 GT, which is below the recommended 8800 GTS. Worst case scenario, you'd have to own an 8300 GS which does support DX11, but it is also below recommended spec. It might run, but it might run like trash. Basically any GPU made within the last 17 years supports DX11 and is at least capable of running GW2. One of my test builds is an Athlon 2 x2 245 with a GT 710. GW2 runs pretty competently on it as far as "poor builds" go. You can get the 710/1030 for less than $100. I feel you. I much prefer backwards-compatibility as an option, but this whole thing has been blown completely out of proportion.
  6. That's great, but the entry for Mine Field does not say "PVP only", so this is a global nerf.
  7. That Mine Field change will make that skill actually useless, especially in boon-spam Fractals.
  8. People complain about Arms crit while signet ferocity has existed forever yet nobody cares. Weird. 211, 213, 221, and 223 seem to be fairly solid trait combinations under your average scenario.
  9. I would say these rifle changes are half baked, but that would imply they went in the oven at all. Thanks Anet.
  10. As much as I would like turrets to be stronger in general, after seeing what they did with warrior banners, I don't trust Anet to make turrets better. I'd rather they have niche uses on a few various builds than have no use at all.
  11. Yeah, endless cycles of "screw core to nerf elite" tend to cause that, hence my irritation with yet another core nerf. But you weren't paying attention on purpose Nerf scrapper superspeed and quickness then? Wow, what a concept.

  13. I'd like to know once D3D11 goes live, if D3D9 will remain as an option or be removed. I'd still like to use D3D9 for performance testing on older systems plus compatibility with the D3D12 wrapper. Until I see otherwise, I'm expecting wrapped D3D12 to still outperform D3D11 on my current rig, even after multithreading changes are added.
