Nope it took anet at least a week to sort out the servers. The first 3 days had 5 minute wait times at primetime.

People have been calling the game dead since the day you no longer had to queue for logging into the game. That was a few weeks after launch.

Does Istan stand for Buggy
Tzarakiel.7490 replied to Mungo Zen.9364's topic in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website
Anet still haven't fixed the bug that require you to open the guild menu to interact with the names of guild members in guild chat. That bug is almost 8 years old now. -
What are your plans if Tengu do come?
Tzarakiel.7490 replied to bharr.2890's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
If they added Tengu I'd be annoyed knowing they could have added at least a dozen more armor sets instead. And probably more interesting animations for skills. -
Skill level of Guild wars 2 players.
Tzarakiel.7490 replied to Beast Sos.1457's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Personally I'd say there are 2 reasons the average skill level is low. The game is very casual friendly (not a bad thing) and rarely pressure players to get better. The game is also very bad at teaching players how it works. -
PoF with Dell laptop?
Tzarakiel.7490 replied to Some Call Me Tim.2319's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
You should be grateful the DELL laptop promotion isn't available where you live. EVERYTHING DELL makes except XPS laptops is manufactured E-waste/trash. -
On a scale of 1 to 10, what's your EOD hype?
Tzarakiel.7490 replied to Aodlop.1907's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
It should be around 5 or 6 because honestly everything announced seems like low hanging fruit to me and I have no interest in Cantha, but I just want new elite specs so much that it's probably 8. -
I like the overall design of the new LA better, but I miss the verticality and sense of exploration in the old one. Anet could have designed a layout that preserved more of the interesting locations like all the different bars and lookout points.

I feel screwed over by the Legendary Armory [Merged]
Tzarakiel.7490 replied to Alice.4215's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
You're literally getting infinite copies of the armors you already have. You are getting just as much as anyone else who have the armors. This is like complaining about a post scarcity society because your infinite resources are not bigger than someone elses infinite resources. -
If they did make an animated series of Guild Wars 2 it should be an original story. The main story is long enough for a dozen movies and would feel horribly rushed in a short series or single movie. The advantage of a movie or series based on an mmo like Guild Wars 2 is that there are a lot of lore or smaller stories available.

FidelityFX Super Resolution
Tzarakiel.7490 replied to wolfsblut.9435's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I'm not sure it's possible to even get a cpu that is weak enough compared to the gpu to make FSR do anything in GW2. Unless you run it on integrated graphics. -
I remember watching that video and completely disagreeing with his solution to the problem. Personally I consider long cooldowns to be a blight on video games. If I can't use an ability regularily enough for it to affect my gameplay and get good with it, then it might as well not exist. I also HATE it when I have to rely too heavily on my auto attacks. Auto attacks are the least fun aspects of mmos. I would rather have a few purposeful actions per minute that hit harder than spam a single skill forever. I want everything I do to have an impact and giving me more abilities to use or ways to use them (within reason) is usually better.

For some reason people who spend money on cosmetics feels entitled to ruin other player's experience by tanking their framerates. It's the same type of entitlement that makes rich people think they deserve to treat others poorly.
