  1. Well this went side ways. Played with dx12 and it seems to give me a big boost in multiple games. Wow which is older than gw2, have amazing performance today. I can run it with 200fps+ even in main citys, when running dx12. All I'm saying is, I wish us with beefy systems, also will be able to play the game with beefy settings or in some way let us play the game with decent fps without having to dumb down graphics big time. To avoid 30fps dips... Game is just very clunky atm and I just see performance update as one of the most important things for this expansion
  2. For a game that wants to put out a expansion in 2021. It really badly need some rework on performance.Got a 5900x and 6800 XT and even on just medium/high it runs really bad.
  3. Instead of just disappearing after getting my new system, I would just quickly share some of the results. So others dont have to come in here and wonder. First I would compare old to new system speccs and then difference in fps in different zones. Old systemMB: ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VII RANGER (socket 1150)CPU: I7 4770k OC'ed a little bit was 4.1 or 4.2RAM: 2x8GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical LP 16GB 1600mhz 8-8-8-24(XMP) DDR3SSD: multiple, main was samsung 850 evo, had game and windows on this one.GFX: EVGA 980Ti Hybrid Gaming (Still using this in new system as non of the new ones are in stock.)Monitor: 1080p 144hz Benq XL2411T TN 1ms New systemMB: MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFICPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900xRAM: 2x16GB G.Skill Trident Z 3200mhz CL14 DDR4SSD: NVMe M.2 Samsung 970 PlusGFX, same as before.Monitor: 1440p 144hz 27" LG UltraGear Nano IPS 1ms I am still running d3d9 - havn't tried d12pxy yet.Settings is the same except on new system im running medium on amount of players shown and high quality players shown, lowest on both on old system. and ofc the resolution difference. Old SystemTyria: Anywhere from 10 to 40PvE zones with solo stuff or very few people in range 40 - 100 Very unstable, usually as soon as I engage fighting it would go down to 40ishWvW No blob in sight: 40 - 100WvW Blob in sight: 15 - 40WvW Blob fight 10-15Metas 10-15 New SystemTyria: So far I have not been below 100fps++PvE zones with solo stuff or very few people in range: around 250 when fighting and all the way up to 400 when just going aroundWvW No blob in sight: around 160 - 200WvW Blob in sight: 120ishWvW Blob fight: 80 - 120Meta: 120ish sometimes higher and sometimes lower. It really depend more on the zone here. I am sad that I didnt check all this with 0.1 FPS LOW cause I can tell for sure my old system had stutter problems, moments were it could drop to 0-1FPS and give these very short total freezes/Stutter - This is completely gone with my new system. It is so smooth, I did not expect it to be this huge a bump in performance. 100% worth. As you can see though, system was not really focused on gw2, but still though it was worth to check the difference.
  4. Have you tried different BIOS settings (deactivating overclocking of CPU and RAM, for instance, or activating/deactivating hyper-threading)? I don't know how to do that. Which doesn't makes sense cuz I used to play in a laptop then I'm playing on a PC. Same problem in both. This is big when it comes to TS a problem like this. If you have it on 2 devices with exact same issue. It is very rarely the actual PC's. But since not everyone has it, it is still tied with something that has with you to do. It is most likely still a network issue and these are extremely hard to TS. It's most likely some routing issue.
  5. Damm, cant wate to get this 5900x running then! only missing the MB and RAM which is coming in 2 days!! And I am upgrading from a 4770k so it gotta be night and day for me lol EDIT:Just found this, was uploaded few hours ago and is in spanish(I think) - Everything on high/max and 4k and he got almost constant 100+ in wvw, No giant zerg though, sadly- but theres some 20~ player moments and it dont seem to tank the dps hard. Hes still pushing 3-4 times the fps I do now xD And I am on 1080p with lowest in all settings
  6. This food is just not food, it gives a lot of extra buffs than just a simple damage buff or healing buff. You can get easy food, and it will still do the trick. And there is really no hassle to it. Its pretty straight forward and simple. Even the quest for unlocking it is simple.
  7. This is what I do. Tip of the day: Using item boosters and other farming boosts lets you harvest the varietal herb patches multiple times. The last time I made a batch, I planted 8 cilantro, and picked up 13 once I grabbed all of them. Planted 4 sesame, reaped 5. That's several gold with of free loot. If you have a spare toon, park one near the home instance, give them an item booster and give them a sickle with the Glyph of Bounty. You'll get several gold of extra loot with every wave of cultivated herbs. Really!? Thats nice! You need to use item boosters when you plant or when you harvest?
  8. Its still happening. And my Ticket is 5days old now. No response.
  9. Why not just make a large batch 1 time? This is not tedious at all compared to some other things. You want ascended food or not? Its not like its just a little better than its lower tier food, its like A LOT better. And theres a lot of very very cheap food to craft. I just found out what food I want, and I bought the seeds and make a massive batch, I go harvest, plant new, done.
  10. Hello People! I have played GW2 for a very long time, but mainly just pvp/solo(crafting legendarys and ascended gear)/with very few friends, We played it a lot on/off. Never really bothered to actually put time into a guild and raid because my friends never really stayed for long, I always ended up being the last one playing and just slowly die out cause solo got boring. But lately, I have been playing it without breaks. And it kinda have become my main game. After long time hardcore raiding in wow, Official MegaTribe life in ARK for years, Legend Ranked(Not Forgotten) and everything cleared in destiny 2, and many other titles were I have tried to do the endgame content to feel committed. I just keep finding myself coming back to gw2. So because of this, I have decided that I want to raid, I want to get a guild and by that make it a more permanent game for me, than just the regular play/break/play/break that I have been used to do so far. So obviously I am a newbie when it comes to raiding and I only lately started to really put time into the PvE side of the game like fractals etc, I have done some raid PUGs and it went okay, but its nothing compared to what a guild achieves. I am a fast learner and I really want to learn and succeed. And to do so, I need a guild. From doing some research, one of my really downsides atm is the fact that my only geared character is my thief, I have multi full ascended sets like berserker/marauder/viper and legendary weapons on it, but its a thief and ye it does not seem like people really want those. So I have leveled elementalist, mesmer, necro and rev to have alternatives, but I never got done gearing them, cause when you are solo and enjoy just playing thief, its hard to feel committed to other classes. I really dont mind playing a role that is needed, but I would prefer playing my thief. Ofc. there is also a longtime goal with all this other than making new friends and getting to learn the raiding scene, I want to make legendary armor. But my hopes are, that in the process, I will fall in love with the raiding/pve, get good friends and basically have so much more in the game, to keep me playing this without the constant breaks anymore. As a last thing, I am looking for any raiding guild really, my only requirement is that it have players and it gets going with weekly raids. I am not looking to get carried, I will be more than fine with progressing (as long as progress actually happens!), but I will also be fine with being carried. As long as there is raids weekly and not constant cancels, then I am happy. Sorry if theres any problems with grammar etc. English is not my main language.Best RegardsZip
  11. Don't know if anyone stated this. But OP's problem is that he comes head first into gw2, with the mindset of a wow player. That's really it. You can easily do all content with exotic gear.Ascended is rather easy to get as well. Ofc legendary needs to be hard to get or it would be boring. The excitement of making a weapon etc. Is all worth the time spend. You basically asking why the game have content. And why you don't get the best in slot gear instantly, to do this content.
