  1. lmao forget spending hundreds of gold on this nonsense. horrible solution.
  2. Just because the post is strongly worded doesn't mean their physical health is affected. Players need to be firm with their responses to the limited information they're given by the devs of the games they support. Beating around the bush muddies the waters and doesn't clearly present our stance with the game design choices they are choosing to make. If we sit back and take it; we can expect bad game design choices in the future, too.
  3. Let's be real; 6 runes should be all you need to qualify for this. As neglected as underwater combat and really underwater anything is, it just needs to be incorporated into your regular gear. Your regular head slot needs to be your underwater slot; and the aquabreather should be a cosmetic slot at most. Other than that; I agree. Taking current power and locking it behind a paywall and reselling it to use a year and a half down the line is simply unacceptable. It breaks the commitment ANet made when promising Legendary Armor, Runes, and Sigils represent the pinnacle of the gear chase and would allow us to freely experiment with our builds in perpetuity. I understand, and even support decoupling traits from stats so that more diversity can be tinkered with, but rendering those investments made prior to this completely invalid all in the name of a 'fresh coat of paint' is a bridge too far. All this, without even mentioning that their current plan is to release relics without all the core traits implemented is the latest in a loooooooong line of features being shipped to players before being complete. Why can't devs seem to grasp that players don't care if something like this is delayed when pushing it out early literally removes current player capability from the game. It will garner nothing but majority negative feedback and I GUARANTEE you they're going to do it anyway.
  4. My biggest issue is locking power behind collections or achievements in the first place. With legendary armor and runes/sigils players have invested a vast amount of resources in order to build craft with minimal restriction in order to adapt to evolving content, player behavior, and players' continued increased increased understanding of game mechanics and systems. With these legendary items in hand players have the ability to shift their power into the places they want/need at a moments notice and aren't hampered by arbitrary time gates and chasing a carrot on the end of a stick. By removing power that we already possess and telling us that our current capabilities will be sold back to us up to a year and a half from now AND will require an additional and as yet undefined resource investment is a huuuuuge breach of the entire concept of the legendary armory as it was initially pitched to us. To be able to get these items and never again be blocked by these walls only to have another one put up because they want to pad players time spent in game. And let's be honest, it's also a business decision to increase gem sales due to Gem > Gold conversion (and the fact that people who spend more time in the game are also just more likely to buy Gems and items in the Gem Store in general). Ultimately, what this represents is a reneging on ANet's statement that investing in legendary gear will represent the pinnacle of the gear treadmill and will open the door for them to take our investments and invalidate them all in the name of a 'fresh coat of paint.' My entire argument will be completely negated by one thing and one thing only. Give us the Legendary Relic out of the gate; make sure the system is ready to go BEFORE SHIPPING IT TO US IN A HALF BAKED STATE, and allow the build crafting and diversity they claim to be chasing without making us wait for over a year. Additionally, don't make us invest additional resources after we were promised that we wouldn't have to.
  5. So much these. Six runes should be enough considering how neglected underwater anything is.
  6. Frankly, all Relics should have their own effective 'armory' on the account. Much like Legendaries; for every Relic your account unlocks you should be able to select its trait from your Hero panel. Making account bound and *shudders* soulbound relic items is just going to amplify clutter problems. It's back to the days before Unidentified Gear all over again. Too much 𝑓ucking kitten in my inventory.
  7. Boo, hiss. I do not like this. Working towards goals; fine. But for the love of god don't let it be build options. When Heart of Thorns first launched, it was impossible to earn the new stat combos outside of PvE and players who exclusively played WvW were precluded from getting access to what would become the de facto meta option in Minstrel's and Nomad's stats for an extended period of time. Now that the single most build defining characteristics are going to be put into yet another grind locked box these traits had better be available by means that are accessible no matter what game mode you choose to play in.
  8. So in order to consolidate runes and minimize the impact a unique effect has on a player's decision to equip a set of runes... you're making 6 rune sets unique again... and not retiring the overlap? This seems like a massive waste of development times and resources for something that I've literally never seen anyone ask for. You guys are creating yet another grind for players to pursue in order to justify what exactly? Just padding gameplay time with the next carrot at the end of a stick? Decoupling runes from their six set bonus for the purposes of build crafting and diversity is neat, but don't hide it behind another grind. Give people the "Legendary" Relic that will allow them to play with their builds with the freedom that you claim you want people to have. If you're not getting all core rune 6-set bonuses in at the start of the Relic launch then I personally would prefer you delay the launch of Relics. How many players have to have their builds literally removed from the game before this is seen as another failed game design decision from this willfully inept dev team? Quit launching products and features that are half baked and doomed to garner majority negative feedback. Do your part in making sure that features ship READY TO GO.
  9. Definitely need the Swaggering Hat and Cape back. There's nothing that compares to these for the perfect renaissance duelist look for my Virtuoso.
  10. I've found two items in particular that I would really like to have for a look I'm trying to put together but they are exclusive to the gem store and haven't appeared in there or been otherwise available for an extended period of time. The items in question are the Swaggering Hat (last available via Black Lion Statuette redemption in May-June of 2022) and the Swaggering Cape last available in the gem store from Feb 21-March 7 of this year. For something like the hat that hasn't been available for around 12 months is there any hopes of these items making a reappearance in the shop? I've checked the datamined schedule from that_shaman but I haven't seen anything that points to it making a return. Could I submit a ticket asking to buy these things? I just want them and there's nothing in game that comes remotely close to being a suitable substitute. ANet pls 😧
  11. I'm not even attempting to reset my password, just trying to submit a support ticket that is linked to my account. The support link has a sign-in button, which when I login takes me to my account hub, where the support button again takes me to a support page where I am no longer logged in. This loop is frustrating and I eventually gave up and submitted my ticket "anonymously" with my account name in the body of the ticket.
  12. Just putting in my response as another affected by this issue. Same situation as Danikat and Stelawrat described
  13. I'm convinced that this will be the final nail in the coffin for WvW, give it time for the larger guilds to poach all the players from any smaller guilds looking to remain a smaller tight-knit community in order to run their 4 map queues 24/7. Every other alliance that can't post the same numbers will just have to deal with it. Players will as they have in the past manipulate their overall score to appear lower than their actual skill in order to allow for more players to flock to their alliance based on this: kind of.... There will be a max number of players in and Alliance but worlds will be balanced based on player score so the number of players is not fixed really but related to that score. Moving forward, are their plans to diminish the impact of match manipulation through punishment of offenders?
