  1. Came back around when one of the versions of templates was sort of available (6 months to a year ago?). Was broken, didn't want to deal with it, so left. Have a set of legendary raid gear, some pieces of legendary pvp gear, & Aurora Came back a month or so ago, tried it out a bit, still unintuitive and not very flexible. Also a price tag. Am a bit confused. As a result, still not playing for a while
  2. Did this with group a couple of days ago. Three people couldn't turn materials into the guy unless we tried multiple times (Throwing it at him generally didn't do anything). On another account I was able to turn in bomb parts 100%. It's a fun event but definitely don't think it would be easy to solo or do with a few friends.
  3. I've been in about 15 organized maps for Shatterer, gotten the bar broken three times, and only had one time where we just grounded him. The other 10-15 attempts was just nonexistant. The numbers are appx, and might be higher in both regards.
  4. You can do all of the story solo. Depending on what class you play also makes it a lot easier/harder.
  5. That's the idea. If you see a boss that you cannot defeat, try changing your build to something more suited to fighting that boss. The only way for all builds to defeat all enemies equally would be if everything died in one hit. I do change builds (Chrono vs. mirage. Tempest vs Weaver. Vipers vs bezerkers vs minstrels etc). It's however, the fact that changing the entire class that I'm playing is a solution.
  6. Did Ls4 part 1 (Part 1 for all the following as well) on my Weaver ascended somewhat proper gear and it was challenging. Mirage mesmer ascended somewhat proper gear and it was ok. Scourge and it was a joke.I can't imagine doing LS4 staff build, Chrono or core mesmer. Minion or power reaper is still a joke. While I'm not super experienced with the game (Maybe 500 hours) it seems really off that certain bosses & events destroy some but not others.
  7. I personally don't like how flamboyant/rainbow/exuberant the skins are, feel like it's pretty cheap how you can get something that is visually that epic through money, and that there aren't really epic, awesome skins we can get through real gameplay. The amount of money needed is a bit crazy, but at the same time I feel like they're too cheap because they should be harder to get.I do like that there were balance changes, that there is new skins, and all of that.
  8. This is very well written, thought out, and just awesome. Thanks!
  9. At what point did people start forgetting this is an MMORPG? Emphasis on RPG. If you want to create an immersive setting, a roleplay setting if you will, where you play as the mighty warrior, the wise and powerful elementalist, the stealthy thief, cosmetic options are key to that. Your armor, your mount, what sword you wield or magic you use is paramount to that experience. We've all had the experience when we beat the boss and say holy kitten, look at this kitten new sword that I got, that's what makes a game exciting, the sense of reward, and now that's being taken away because if I want a cool mount I can just pay $25 for it. Guild Wars 2 has always tried to stick with the notion of "play your way". I'm the kitten commander and slayer of two dragons in my personal story, so why the hell would I have the same kitten mount as every other common person in the game. My mount should be unique and special to ME, and now because I can't afford to buy $40 worth of mount skins you're telling me I just have to live with it? Well, screw you. Yes, I'll make a fit, yes this affects my gameplay experience and the experience of the player base as a whole, no I will not sit down and just take it. This point. The immersion, the fact that the people with the really fancy mounts or griphons have done a lot of story, farming, etc, to get there... While it's cool that the mounts are cool, the grind to get the mounts needs to be a lot more intense.
