  1. I could talk with Zojja after replaying the first two parts of chapter 8 (Into the Obscure) after I finished chapter 16 (Eventide's March). After talking to her in Mabon's room and leaving the instance Zojja was in the room with the Convergence portal. The portal was closed for public instances at the time, don't know if that makes a difference.
  2. I think you are correct, but that was not what the post said my post was a reaction too. So I am not sure why you react to my post with this reaction. And why mention "newer players"? I am ancient🙂, started playing GW2 before the official release and have never stopped.
  3. According to their own website (https://leaderboards.guildwars2.com/en/eu/wvw) Desolation is ranked 15th so they should not be in tier 1. Gandara and Piken Square (linked together) are ranked 5th and 4rd and are in tier 4. So if your statement is true Anet has no idea what they are doing.
  4. If you want to be pedantic: Neathra hasn't said anything about "there was no way to do it". Neathra asked for a way to access the content already paid for without engaging with the game's other monetization features. I think that is a valid request. OP asked for access for alts to an open world PVE map, mentioned the option of Teleport to Friend and hoped that is not the way forward for AreneNet. I do hope we keep access to open world PvE maps for alts without having to do the story, Teleport to Friend is not a valid alternative for me.
  5. Great, so I only have to worry about my main character for this part of the expansion. The other five characters will not have access. Because I am NOT going to do the story five more times. And I say that before having done the story (this part of the expansion) on my main. It doesn't matter how good the story is I am not going to do it multiple times.
  6. Maybe they didn't. I was surprised to see that the Weeklies weren't reset and I was still on 3 out of 6. I expected I had to do 6 weeklies in the next 5 days. Now I only have to 3 more. Yes, it cost me 30 acclaim (or 80 in your case). But is that really a problem? It is a very low amount compared to the amount of acclaim you get for a whole season.
  7. The water in Snowden Drift is invisible for me. Tested it on two different characters, restarted the game.
  8. The developers recognize our frustrations and are coming with a few upgrades. Rubi posted this: I am happy to see that something is done. Maybe not as much as we like, but the developers react on what is happening and on what we players are saying.
  9. I like this idea, but I think it is too practical for ArenaNet (or the powers to be at ArenaNet). Anyone with even a little understanding of how these kind of events work knows that not giving players a choice is a bad idea. Particularly if that player had a choice in the previous iteration of system. That is not QoL, that is decreasing the level of convenience of your content. Now I think that many developers working at GW 2 know and understand that removing choice is a bad idea. And not checking for bugged content in the new dailies is a bad idea. But it still happened, probably because someone higher up decided that it was a good idea. I think that a lot of developers are proud on the content they created for the expansion part of SotO, but not so proud about the changes to core components in the expansion.
  10. Terrible game design (having to complete all the daily objectives and not 3 out of X) and the unwillingness (or lack of ability) to solve bugs. I bet we will not get a response from Rubi on this one. This just made me stop wanting to play the game for today. SotO made me like the game LESS, not because of the expansion part, but because of the stupid changes they made to core systems. Wizard's Vault could be more rewarding if you (could) do every daily and weekly, but they made the system less fun (read: very annoying).
  11. I hope you read the rest of the posts in this thread too. As much as I appreciate the math it is representing the optimum result of the new system. sos did mention some negatives of the new system, as did several other posts. It seems like some improvements are needed to make the new system a real upgrade to the old system for most players. It is hard to say after only a few days, but it looks like the new system will be more rewarding for me, but not necessarily more enjoyable. That said I see the benefits of the new system for me, I hope that with a few improvements the new system will also be more beneficial for most of my fellow guild members.
