  1. Even if you're not personally concerned, feel free to talk about this post to whom it may interest. I mean, (almost) nobody reads this sub-forum so some advertising would be welcome. What do I mean with "discovery"? We get in without any prior knowledge of that strike mission and wipe until we succeed. This is not a training run where people tell you what to do. We need to figure it out by ourselves. That said, due to the name similarity, being familiar with the champion Boneskinner event in Bjora Marshes sounds like a good idea. Why? I don't like the "must read a guide or watch a video before even trying the content (or follow a training course)" approach. Figuring things out is part of the fun. And I don't feel like waiting for hours for a group of like-minded people to fill an LFG. I've been considering doing this for a while now, but couldn't be bothered. Now, I expect there will be a bonus reward in the next "Return to [...]" for completing that strike, so that's two birds with one stone. When? 14:00 to 17:00 CET (=UTC+1 = Paris time) on Sunday, 31 October. Please note that winter time setting goes into effect during the night from Saturday to Sunday. I don't expect it to take three hours , but I'd rather book three, just in case. The ideal player has completed all other strikes while actively contributing doesn't leave after a wipe blaming everyone else is able to communicate in written English is not on my block list and has not blocked me either Roles While I obviously don't know the best setup for this strike, being able to start with some alacrity (I'll play as alacren), some quickness and a couple of healers would be great. And, obviously, we'll need some damage. How to apply? Simply post here, with the role you want to play and anything you think relevant (if any). What if we don't fill the squad in time? If there are 8+ of us, I say we go on. If fewer, I'd rather move the event to Saturday, 6 November, same time. Please note it would be a Saturday unlike the first planned day.
  2. Yet another patch without this bug being fixed. At this point, it's not Anet, it's Trollnet.
  3. Yep. Extremely obnoxious bug. Reported plenty of times already. No kitten given by anet. Yet they keep selling you build templates that won't work correctly for revs. However, I'm not sure that specific bug has been here for 4 years. This one seems related to build templates, which aren't that old (2 years?). It can also happens when simply switching from WvW to PvE or vice-versa (even when using the same template in both modes), or simply switching template without changing mode. The bug that you enjoyed from the start was probably the one where skills move around when you swap legends. But yeah, similar and similarly obnoxious.
  4. Instead of me having to re-learn WHY CAN'T THE PROGRAMMERS LEARN TO CODE? I did PAY money to get a feature WHICH ISN'T BEING GIVEN to me. And is not only me: I could swear that THE OTHER FOUR PLAYERS jailed in a match with a player which can't play his character AREN'T AMUSED about playing 4 vs 5. They also PAID for the game and do expect the game to work NORMALLY. I agree with this sentiment ... assigning hotbar keys and the game remembering those assignments is available for ALL the other classes. There should be no reason for this exception. If you look at the build window when you switch build, you can see the correct skill order appear. But then the game goes "LOL, joking" and rearrange your load-out.
  5. New patch, new nerfs but still no fix. As usual.
  6. As others have already said, no reason to go solo. Just don't be afraid to use the team chat. Mentioning that you've never done a fractal at the beginning is a good thing. I my experience, most people won't care at all. Some will write a wall of text to explain every little thing to you. Personally, I tend to let people figure out the obvious stuff by themselves and just add pointers if needed (like saying that for Siren's, green AoE damage is shared between targets and that taking it alone usually means you're downed) or if asked. Also, if you lag behind your team-mates and they say "gg", it's not offensive. They just want you to type the command /gg that will insta-kill you, allowing you to respawn at the next checkpoint.
  7. All other "once" items are removed from the merchant's inventory when unlocked, but not Azure/Crimson weapons recipes.
  8. Seriously, could you fix the fucking bug?
  9. It's extremely annoying. It made me stop using different templates in WvW. But I can't even ignore the problem. Just joining WvW may move my skills (and I'm using the same template that I use everywhere else).Template=QoL? Rather the opposite.
  10. After years of loyal service, mine has been promoted from hunter-gatherer to home-instance-gatherer. Not sure if he's happy about it, but he won't cry of frustration anyway.
  11. Probably with an added variable which divides target range by max range and multiplies the resulting damage or something similar. Spatial surge max range is 1,200 thus a target at 1,200 would result in a 1 damage modifier (1,200/1,200 = 1). A target at 600 range would thus receive a damage modifier of .5 (600/1,200 = 0.5). Very likely with some maximum and minimum values thrown in. That's what I'm afraid of, since that would be a nerf. Assuming the wiki is correct and the max damage hasn't changed.
  12. How did they 'dynamically scale' Spatial surge? Does it now require to be at range 1200 to do the same damage you would do at range 901 before?
  13. You're right, I do have the achievement.I thought the 'already completed stuff check' (or however it was worded) only meant I would not need to craft those weapons again, not that it would save me the need to buy some items. I'm not going to complain though.
