We're not here, nor is there ever more than one of us working on wvw, unless there is a gap in LW production and they can spare a guy for a few minutes unless an NPC needs something altering that is way more important like fingernail length. Please leave a message after the tone and I'll get back to you in 2020. beeeeeeep'. If it's not blindingly obvious to even the most die hard fanboy, wvw isn't anywhere on Anet's priority list. As someone else says, this now feels more like a development for GW3 or some other game that will have this alliance system for pvp in it. By the time it gets released here, it's way too late unless it's so good it gets people back and playing (and without fixing the broken OP power creep and condi splurge, people won't stay anyway).
  2. That isn't an easy change at all. In fact that would be quite the opposite - among the most complex of changes, not something ANET can devote a great deal of resources to... Seeing as they currently devote almost zero resources to it, any change can be out in the 'not likely to happen at all' pile. Not sure why it would be so hard though- a hard cap is a lot easier to program than almost any other form of damage calculation.
  3. A really easy change would be to reduce the maximum damage any one skill can cause to 25% of the target's HP pool. It's not fun being hit for 10-14k on a staff tempest with 3k armor (2k toughness) when your total health is 17k or so. Then rework skills and buffs and debuffs and condi spam around this new maximum. Now that almost every hit received is crit damage, fix the multipliers. The current state of the game isn't much fun unless you like facerolling across your keyboard as a condi shade spam necro or a CoR or a vaulter.
  4. Worst part is you can be marked by the thief and you can't lose the targetting - dodging doesn't work, and it stays on you until the thief is almost on the other side of the map. A good first change would be to make the targetting drop as soon as they go out of range. Then tone down the OPness of those skills- being hit from stealth for over half your HP despite having huge armor rating doesn't make for fun gameplay when they then stealth again instantly and run away as soon as they realise they can't down you in one burst. Mesmers need to be looked at too. In fact, invuln should be removed from the game completely and made into a damage reduction skill instead.

Yes WvW play time Will that 'play time' also include the numerous players standing around afk waiting for their participation decay and clocking up rewards before they log out or pop out of town to refresh? Some servers are more infested with these people than others which will screw up the figures.
  6. No stealth week sounds great, but that is a bit different. Not all classes rely on it so easy to suggest. Give the stealth users something to replace it with. Ok, 7k hp for your stealthAdd 15k to eles and you have a deal.... Lose stealth and add about 2k health. More than enough considering you can still run away...
  7. 3.5 mths after the first announcement- any news of progress or even a 'pencilled in a q4 2019 release'?
