Seen peepos like boyce run the standard Soulbeast sPvP build (where you drop GS for M/M) with usual Sw/Wh/smokescale/siamoth/etc. -

im sure my mace offhand cooldowns are longer now... says 20sec for wvw wildstrikes on the wiki. 25secs when I just logged in.. was I imagining it being lower yesterday? nothing in patch notes about a nerf. -
Yes. I understand pvp players saying refined toxin was essentially worthless (as their version is basically non functioning) but my soulbeast is going to miss it in WvW.

Now im no expert but it looks like Commanders want instant spike damage to try and cut through the stupid levels of sustain we now have.. that's also AOE... and isnt projectile due to the reflect/bubble uptime. Thats why holo's and zerkers are currently wanted as DPS. Whereas LB rangers are not. Its because what that weapon brings is not effective or usefull in the current environment that CMC and his predecessors have created. Barrage is not spikey damage, and there is not enough unblockable uptime in the universe now to make 1 2 3 4 on LB effective anymore if you're serious about contributing to a WvW fight.

It changes nothing on quickdraw double LB build. You're still going to be limited by the QD cooldown. It just gives a standard build an extra barrage. Thats it. It changes nothing noteworthy. Youre still doing tickle damage, with a decade long cast, that forces you to be stationary, that any group will just ignore with perma prot and overheal/barrier. Good for killing carts on walls though.

Yeah good luck getting anyone from Anet to comment on any of these... Let alone implement them. People have been asking for the same sort of changes for years and years and years now - or at the very least some sort of open dialog / feedback with the balance devs so we can understand exactly what their objective is with wvw / gvg / roaming. I can count all the dev posts in the wvw forum from a balance dev on one invisible hand. Too busy worrying about that mass influx of overperforming niche and never actually used builds in Player vs Golem gamemodes. 🤡
