  1. Maybe not a bug as such, but still weird: something in either the Northern meta or, more probably, the Dwarven Puzzle rooms, gives me a Difluorite Crystal instead of Branded Mass. I suspect one of the chests in the final (green plate) room, but I'm not quite sure. I'll see if I can find the culprit.
  2. I'm on Piken Square, and I mostly see those bugs on my thief, probably because she's simply the character I use mounts on the most. This happens mostly when waypointing to a map location where there are lots of players around. So it happened a lot in Divinity's Reach during the recent Wintersday celebration. As a first, I also had this happen several times in Wintersday DR in a way that I'd never seen before:I'm doing the orphan gift daily and I'm approaching an orphan while I'm already on my raptor, i.e. the skin and model are already loaded. I dismount, quickly go through the gift giving dialog sequence and try to remount, triggering the bug. I only get this bug when when doing the combat dismount on the griffon. Hitting the mount/dismount button again will fix it for me.
  3. This has been happening, on the EU side at least, since before the last patch - long waiting times before the green confirmation window pops up after a sell listing, sell listings giving the red error popup for no discernible reason then working smoothly when trying again immediately afterwards.
  4. I use a PC and I have the same bug happening with some regularity. Mostly for normal dialog like the above-mentioned "Just blow the d--- gate Canach!", but also in cut scenes - most recent example being Joko's monologue towards the end of the current living story chapter - I'm thankful for the subtitles because the only thing I could hear was the creaking of his armor as he gesticulated.
  5. This is fixed for me - I could open 25 chests in one go (well, modulo one server crash), cycling through the chests in achievement order.
  6. Still, I get where the OP is coming from because I dislike having to rely on other people's contributions when doing map completion.
  7. Like: Domain of Istan is varied and beautifulThe new meta event(s)The story was OK-ish. Can we please tell Bram to stop whining already?Dislike: The Astral/Stellar weapons: they are expensive (55 ectos for an Exotic on top of all that other stuff? Thanks, but no thanks.), getting them is a grind, I find them ugly, and they come in a stat combination I have no use for.Related to that, there is not much else to buy for Kralkatite or Volatile Magic. Can we stop doing this thing were access to a PoI, and hence map completion, is gated behind a map meta? Especially when the event doesn't even run for significant amounts of time (no Sunspear Uprising during the night, due to Palawadan meta), or stalls completely (as happened yesterday evening on at least two EU map instances). The story instances were a bit long; the last one was way too long. I don't think I will replay the story on any of my alts. The story fights felt frustrating because of all the AoE, conditions, control effects, boss movements and add-spawns that get thrown at you. If your goal was to get us to spec into more defense - congratulations, I've now traited my Thief main into as much evasion, sustain and condi removal as possible while remaining stealthless.Performance during the Palawadan meta is abysmal. As is performance in Champion's Dawn.
  8. Except for Raids, there are no dedicated Healers or Tanks in the game, and even then it's more of a tank/heal/support hybrid. That said:Warriors are easy to learn (I find them too boring in core Tyria), have the largest weapon selection of all classes and can be specced for DPS/support.Guardians are the classic DPS/support class. They have much less health than Warriors but also a far more varied survival and support tool set. If you want to learn about what GW2 offers in the realm of combat mechanics, playing a Guardian can probably teach you better than most other classes while providing a relatively easy experience even at beginner skill levels.Necromancers are the survival kings. They aren't much loved in most endgame scenarios because they tend to be somewhat selfish, but their pets and innate tankiness make them one of the best solo classes.Rangers are easy to get into and their Druid spec is pretty much the dedicated support healer. Their pets make things easy for beginners, but on the other hand Rangers are also somewhat infamous for making it easy to learn bad combat habits. Longbow/brown bear rangers who use their Longbow 4 skill on cooldown are justifiably despised in all group content. The other classes tend to be markedly harder in some way or other than those four:Thieves have easy stealth access, high mobility/evasiveness and good damage, but tend to be very, very squishy and provide little group support.Elementalists tend to be very versatile but their larger skillset (20 skills on each weapon set, as opposed to 2 weapon sets with 5 skills each for most other classes) makes them harder to learn. They are also quite squishy unless you really know what you're doing.Mesmers have very high utility, but apart from their Path of Fire specialization Mirage, their damage in PvE tends to be lackluster. I also find them too squishy for their damage output (again, except for Mirage).Engineers are incredibly versatile, but tend to be Jacks of all trades, masters of none. As with Elementalists, their class mechanic means you have far more skills to learn than with most other classes, and the skill ceiling is high.Revenants can be specced for heal or support DPS hybrids, but AFAIK demand for Revenant healers is pretty much exclusive to WvW. I generally like their weapon skills but find their healing skills cumbersome and their class mechanic (swapping out complete sets of utility skills) inflexible.
  9. The asura progeny and young skitt in LA. Those two scoundrels are all over LA, but the apple theft is their funniest dialog. Snikk: All clear!Snikk: Hold on. Yeah, she's there.Snikk: Agent Scratch, engage sneaky mode.Scratch: You be lookout.Snikk: Get me an apple too.Apple Vendor: Hey! Thief!Scratch: Got 'em! Run!Snikk: I'm using my magic feet...go!Apple Vendor: Come back here with that, you little...Apple Vendor: (sigh) Little stinkers.
