  1. Wasn't funny wasn't interesting. Was a pointless rant so I gave you an F since you seemed to want to be graded now It's obviously over my head. You do you pal. that doesn't even make sense - what are you, some comedy bot in early alpha? That I won't stress over a guy who didn't get the point? The guy that came up with some narrative that he pulled out of his kitten? Also what do you not understand about "you do you"?

  3. Thanks for additional info, I am aware of that in fact. I just felt this whole season could be more generous with mastery points - see PoF.
  4. Hello Anet, Last few months I've spent most of my free time playing Lineage II (the good old grindcore, not the new P2W sh*t). But all things com to an end and so I finally had time to re-return to GW2, as I annually do with each new release. Imagine my shock, when I realized that nothing really changed for me! I mean initially I was skeptical about the artificial scarcity of mastery points in the story sequence and funny achievements but boi was I wrong. Soon I had realized how astonishing the idea of locking not one but two of those mastery points behind everyone's favorite content (Strike missions) was. Ingenious! I mean raids after all are the least enjoyed content for most of the community not because they are generally unfun with strict matchmaking a rules to follow but because of the lack of exposure! It's not like there is a legendary armor locked behind them so you are eventually forced to play them - especially with new templates generally being tweaked towards that. We all know how hard it is to balance fun with excitement in Guild Wars 2 world. If only there was a great example of how to achieve such balance. Maybe in some form of early world dungeons that were beloved by most of the community. It also made me wonder why do we even bother getting those masteries in other ways? You might also want to consider moving all of the masteries into strike missions for the next episode! When I started looking over mastery-granting achievements I was short of being ecstatic. I never realized that before but there were so many Netflix shows I didn't yet bingewatch during playing Lineage II and now I had this new opportunity to finally catch up. Of course Lineage with it's exp loss on death penalty was never the most welcoming platform for this activity but in Guild Wars I needn't to worry about that, due to lack in-game death impact. Also it's almost needless to say that I reached absolute top of my excitement when I realized that my "1" key will finally reach the wear level of my left mouse button that I've had since playing cookie-clicker. It didn't take me much longer to find out the last surprise and everyone's favorite feature, time-gate. This time present in form of soft lock to number of maximum obtainable treasure keys (pun definitely not intended). This time serving the great non-balance or anyhow player-serving purpose of spreading playtime thin over several days. I mean who wouldn't love being told how long they should play, we are all children in heart after all. Due to these newly found time constraints I had much more time and craving for some sweet new cash-only stylish weapons and clothing that I'd flex on my happy fellow meta squadmates. I mean it's easy to impress others with your character assets after all. Well, considering everybody has brand new 1500$ computer that runs this 7 years old game perfectly and allows you to have character models/quality set to high due this game's generous FPS and overall great performance. I myself enjoyed each of these glorious frames as they were my last, on my 144hz monitor. So again, thank you for this opportunity to re-return to GW2 with the next soon to be released episode and see you then! EDIT: Also note that due to essence of Lineage 2 grind I might've been overly generous in some of my aforementioned points as I could watch light bulb for hours now, if it changed color that is.
  5. Oh, you just stirred my imagination! I think of something non-typical maybe even daring! I think of solid wood (perhaps oak or maple?) time-tested and wind-scarred gate. With dark steel complements and door knocker made in shape of pocket watch. No knob! Just the knocker and it can be knocked only once per day. ;)
  6. Sure, why not. Why bother having electricity, water toilets (LOL). Why do you desire so much to stop QoL improvements? Do you have such stand against any possible technological improvement as well? Only ones that don't solve new problems or old problems in better ways. That's not improvement, that's time-wasting. Like this thread, for example. Well, clearly we have different definition of "time wasting".

  8. Does it make sense though? Does it really make sense, that I have to open wiki an search there instead of having it in game and making it more natural to feel/play?To find the entrance to a hidden jumping puzzle? Yes. I don't want to have giant neon signs everywhere telling me where to go. But if I've looked and still can't find it? Can just wiki it.Clearly it would on the map only and only if you did find it before. So, no neon signs

  10. What is wrong with the world map & mini-map? Over the years of GW2 being online we never got real add-on/plugin support from Anet and I always thought that this might change one day. Or, perhaps, that Anet will eventually implement certain QoL improvements into game themselves instead of allowing 3rd party involvement. This never happened, so I have this desperation plead to make to Anet. Please introduce something more uselful than current world map + minimap scheme. My point, world map is utterly useless piece of crap that has no real usage other than checking world completation and teleporting. Now you might be asking "what the hell do you want from world map?" I am not against the world map remaining in its current state but I would also like to see some mid-stage between current options (small ingame map, huge clunky world map). Like current area only, detailed map. Also teleporting becomes extremely excrutiating as map got huge over the time and sometimes it takes forever to locate waypoint where you would like to port. Perhaps some HUBs would be less restrictive at this point. Way too often, when running around I check for gathering nodes, PoI, etc. I have no other option than to look at ingame minimap (because world map is a mess and doesn't really display anything usefull). But the minimap has some weird scaling implemented. For example - when the nodes disappear from the map seems to be hugely map-based other than locked at certain value. Also way too often (especially with mounts) I would like to see further on minimap but zooming out results into mishmash of unspecified smudges instead of actual drawing and renders the map useless. Not to mention after all those years and continuous map expansions I would like to make my own notes into map. Having one bloody waypoint marker for whole map is goddamn useless. Like hell, do you expect me to remember all the entrances to mini-dungeons and jumping puzzles that I managed to finish over the years and need to complete for this collection or that daily? Also, when I find rich gathering node, I would like to mark that as well. Why do I have to keep looking for everything every time I need to 'use it'/'get there' again. Not to mention I would like to mark some areas for my own purpose (goddamn). Whenever I get prompt from collection/quest that "displays" me some location and says something similar to "search somewhere around here" I get goddamn seizure. I have a map, why do I need to look around? I am not here to pixelhunt npcs/objectives and crawl around map in order to get something completed or notice some tiny little detail. Do you think I consider searching part of the experience? Well, no. I hate constant searching for stuff. Most people do. I want map to become that helpful tool it is supposed to be. What about quest implementation? It should be there no matter what and currently it is still shamefully not included in any sensible way. Even when there is collection marker it's mostly invisible unless scoured with an eye of the predator looking for it's prey. is the "second monitor with guide" approach still the most valid and desired one? Recently I was looking for PoI on certain map (Jahai bluffs, Fortress Courtyard). I knew I was missing one and tried to find it via blinking of the unfinished PoI on the world map. I was unable to locate it because it was in smudget part ot he map I haven't explored yet. I had to check wiki and count all PoI's manually to eventually notice it. From map there wasn't clear at all that there should be more explorable parts of the map and with invisible PoI it didn't really occur to me at all. The worst part is that I was already there with other characters several times before, but I just couldn't remeber. Leaves me wondering how much more useless current map could be. What about community or guild maps? That could be awesome addition to the game as well. If you want first time players not to have access to such "advanced features" make it collection or profession -> cartographer obtainable after world completation, whatever. Ending my rant..
  11. I love how the way this game is mocking me with "upgrade your skyscale mastery" Guess what ANET..
  12. This whole thing feels so painful,.. The worst part is that I don't even care for this flying piece of s... I just like to have all the masteries :/ Wondering what did I do to Anet to deserve such ugly mobile-game like timegate nonsense.
  13. Map looks gorgeous.Storytelling was ok, except for the skyscale introduction part.Kralkatorrik fight was weird and somehow underwhelming. As for events and skyscale I won't have any feedback anytime soon. Won't be doing events since they are wasted on not gaining masteries/exp. And won't be doing skyscale anytime soon. Gated content doesn't go well with me.
