Veteran player here, been playing the game since September 2012. This "expansion" is a bad joke. Removed the daily achievements, then added a worse version of it back under a new name as the main feature of the expansion Removed the final set bonuses from runes and ... gave us basically useless replacements? And people with legendary runes are basically completely f--d over. The UI/UX of the new features... my god. ANet can't design a UI to save their own lives. The game desperately needs an overhaul in terms of UI, nameplates, LFG, currency creep, game engine, combat systems... but no, we get a worse version of the same daily quests we had before. I honestly don't even know any more. I've supported this game with all my heart but it's now 100% clear they have no idea what they're doing.

Still crashing before I even get to the login screen 😞 Arch AMD gpu lutris-GE-Proton7-23 dxvk 1.10.2 Update: Enabling Windowed (virtual desktop) gets me to the login screen, however after pressing play I get a very generic crash: Update 2: Deleted every file except for Gw2.exe, re-ran the launcher and now I was able to play. What the heck! Thanks for coming to my TED Talk xD Update 3: Literally haven't touched anything and now I'm back to the initial error. I give up.

Thanks for the detailed answer 🙂 Oddly enough people with nvidia cards seem to have it easier with this... Basically the only major difference between our setup is the GPU so yeah, sucks to be me haha

Are you sure you haven't changed anything? I'm using the same proton + dxvk as you, but still can't even get to the login screen.

Yeahhh it's been completely borked since the last patch. GE-Proton-7-26 DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command% The performance is almost identical so far, except for some lighting glitches.

Yes, this expansion is severely lacking in new features compared to previous expansions. HoT and PoF introduced new core mechanics to the game (gliding, masteries, mounts, break bars, etc) but I don't see anything significant in EoD. However, I'm also not really disappointed. 1. The game has no subscription fee, so you only have to buy a new expansion every 2-3 years. 2. They keep pumping out new content (maps, stories, achievements) at an impressive rate, especially when compared to a certain other MMO that has a subscription fee and a billion-dollar company funding them. Just my 2c.
