  1. Crying on floor laughing. Is it really that hard to issue a patch without having to make like 10 patch hotfixes?
  2. For god's sake, how hard is it to add a skip button for dialogues? I mean, you had them in the original story when the game came out, why don't you just copy that concept for LS, too? I don't know about others, but for me, I'm not interested in the story one bit and sitting behind my screen for 5-10 minutes reading/listening to content I have absolutely no interest in is really making me want to shelf this game. That, and WvW lag, but that's another story.
  3. Lag has been present in WvW maps ever since the game was launched. Or, to put it another way, this "feature" will never get fixed. If you contact support, they will tell you it's your connection, so don't even bother. Im not referring to wvw. Why do you think they can fix lag in LW4 maps if they weren't able to fix it in WvW after 8 years?

  5. We all get it; it is no small task to fix this issue. Also I have played the game since the launch of GW1 Prophecies, and the way the GW2 team have handled this issue is foreign to me. It is completely unacceptable to leave your customers in the dark! This is ofcause no excuse for us to treat Anet with rudeness and aggresive behaviour. But really.. Can you blame people (especially as customers)? It is without any doubt a natural human reaction to uncertainty. I truly believe that uncertainty is a huge "fear-impowerment", and therefore leads to the way we react. SHAME ON YOU, for shaming us. People are in their good right to be frustrated.I am usually not the guy who enters forum discussions, but your disrespect really triggered me. I apologize for my bad spelling+grammar. I wish you a good day. The biggest problem here is that the majority of the GW2 playerbase actually thinks like that guy. This is why we have overpriced items on TP and latency issues in WvW and populated PoF maps, among other things - the majority of the players apparently support all that. It's... unbelievable. Really unbelievable. You have no idea what I support or don't support, and i certainly don't pride myself on supporting a company who has laggy servers, bad skill balance and high priced shop items. So don't try to be smart putting words into my mouth or anyone elses. It's like me saying no one is 100% happy with the game. i'm sure some are.I just learn to roll with the punches that is all.Be thankful this is a one off, some games i have played had maintenance every week and often were off line all day in the event of problems with patches. This would of been EU time. Not shaming anyone lol, didn't say any names but honestly being rude isn't going to speed it up, chill!I am as frustrated as you are.peace. I wouldn't pride myself on supporting such a company either, that's why, unlike you, I voice my displeasure whenever I believe criticism is due. How many times (if at all) have you sent feedback to Anet? How many times did you tell them that an item on TP is priced too high or that a mission or quest is too difficult or too easy or just too confusing to do? Submitting feedback does not mean congratulating them on doing what they're doing, feedback should, in essence, be critical, yet constructive on what you, as a player of their game, believe they should do to improve their services. Which is exactly what I've done in my posts, yet still received your WKBS. You do whatever you want to do, it's not my business if you decide to just "roll with the punches" and swallow everything that gets thrown your way. If that's how you want to approach the products you've bought with your own money, so be it. I am interested why you took my comment personally when I didn't tag you or quote. mmm. It's because you don't fully understand what I said. My post is not meant just for you, but people like you, which is, based on the comments on Twitter and on the forums, the majority of this game's playerbase.

  8. Twitter/GuildWars2 Thanks for the update. Not all of us are on Twitter and I was wondering why I suddenly couldn't access the game any more. Coming after the rollback it was frustrating but I suppose it's best that they go ahead and get the issues resolved. You don't need to be on Twitter to read their messages. I don't have a Twitter account either, but when things go as bad as this, that's the first place I'll go to check what's going on.
  9. From my own personal experience (returned in January after 2 years away) Start by getting mounts first and upgrading them (Raptor and Springer are a must, makes things so much easier and faster all over Tyria; Skimmer and Gryffon are a nice bonus to have, too. Everything else can wait). Depending on the content you wish to play (PvE, WvW, etc), it wouldn't hurt to join a guild that can help you with the newer builds. Dailies, other than the regular daily, are, for me personally, not worth it so I never focus on them. You can get Ascended trinkets with Winterberry farming in Bitterfrost Frontier (google it). Stats are selectable for each trinket. I finished HoT story + bonus things with a condi minion master necromancer. The damage wasn't as much as with other builds or classes, but it was sustainable and I could even solo champions without ever falling below 50% HP. I did Adventure Box only for the sake of unlocking the bauble node in my home instance. Basically, you need to collect 32 bauble bubbles and trade them in at a vendor. You can then mine 3x 8 baubles in your home intance every day, and trading 250 baubles at a vendor can net you 1 bauble bubble. Again, it's not needed, but my personal goal is to unlock as many goodies in my home instance as I can. tl;dr: Start by unlocking and upgrading the Raptor and Springer mounts to make life easier for you, then just play however you want.
  10. I'll have you know, I did check the forum when I made my post and there were no others about the rollback then, hence my questions in the OP. Of course, when you came to visit the forum, everyone had spammed with their rollback posts. But afaik, I was first so there were no "same threads" at the time of writing ;) Even if you weren't first, 2-3 days of progress was lost server-wide and the first official response we received from the staff was hours later. Naturally everyone freaked out, especially because the data loss occurred during the weekend, e.g. when people actually have time to play. For me personally, I have work and other games with which to entertain myself at the moment, so this downtime isn't really affecting my life in any way. However, I have been around since day 1 of the launch of GW1 and I remember how things used to be back then. The community and the developers used to work hand in hand, there was transparency, there was trust. Sure, some people lost their nerves every once in a while, but you weren't warned or even banned for saying what bothered you. Now, there is no transparency (after 24+ hours of complete server downtime we still don't know what caused it, if we're going to get our weekend progress back, when approx. can we expect the servers to be up, etc) and the general GW2 community is so passive it's no wonder we are still experiencing the same issues we experienced at launch. It's good to be supportive when things go bad, however it's also good and healthy to criticise when criticism is needed. Considering how very poorly the company handled this situation (no transparency, no concrete information as to what, how, why, when), every normal person would have demanded answers at this point. However, like I said, the community nowadays is so passive I wouldn't be surprised if they clapped the company if their account got reset to zero.
  11. But.. did THEY asked anyone before the rollback? Any decent IT team would give a heads up. Allow us to save our ####. This rollback was unexpected and sloppy and some actually lost a lot because guess what : some people play the most during weekends.I am utterly displeased and disappointed and i don't even know if i should write a ticket or just trust them to make things right I know and it's utterly unprofessional. Let's wait and see. @Nokomis.5076 If I ever open up a store, I sincerely hope to god the majority of my clientbase will have your mentality. That way I can sell them broken or unfinished things for lots of cash without the fear of them demanding refunds or compensations.
  12. ArenaNet does not owe you the slightest bit of anything. It's just a game. Get over it. The devs are also just humans, just like you. Do they cry in the forums about how unfair the players are? I honestly don't understand what exactly are you people trying to achieve with posts like this? A pat on the back from the devs? A medal? Recognition from the community? Seriously, I'm confused. White knight forums, is called. People who won't talk against the company even when they make mistakes or don't step back after wrong choices. Same WKFs that said we players didn't have any right to request a character spot with HoT when Revenant was released. And guess what? We got it 'cos was the right thing, after protesting. "This is just a game" is the usual absurd resource for defending what has no defense.I know, I mean you won't get anything unless you ask. And OP would have been given the same compensation as the other players for this inconvenience, which is why his stance really puzzles me. He wouldn't lose anything, in fact he would get the same compensation as everyone else. Why in the world would he oppose that?
