  1. Careful what you wish for... the player base likes Canash and Blish because they haven't been given much of an opportunity to ruin their own image.
  2. Take a yellow tag if you want it to stand out. That said, some sort of outline that has a flourish or is animated would help tags to stand out. The apple's decorative flourish works in its favor for this reason, even if it isn't animated.
  3. Dx12 support, and some better day>dusk>night>dawn lighting would go a LONG way to giving the game a better performance and a nicer look. Conan Exiles blows me away when the sun sets or rises. I want (something like) THAT in Guild Wars 2. Not... okay it getting a little bluer now. I seriously don't notice the changes between time periods. It's legit too subtle and lends to a rather bland lighting in the core maps. Actual dynamic weather and touching up the core maps (Dry Top and onward just blows them out of the water) would not be turned down either. Mostly just need the mountains/cliffs to look less like a simple application of the "raise terrain" tool and more like actual mountain/cliff sides (like in every zone from Dry Top onward.) That alone will breathe a ton of fresh air into the core maps. Also, as an aside, I think the game would look good with an optional "cartoon outline" shader, but all I have to go on is a few spell effects that sort of accomplish the look for a reference.
  4. Precedent or not, relying on it happening is still being hopeful. A lot of us have switched to using keybinds if a third party app isn't the comfortable option, and that's what I would recommend as well. Having moved my movement keys to ESDF and action bar keys to all the keys surrounding it (weapon bar is XZAQW and utility is VBGTR) I have 1-7 on my keyboard open to mounts, no numpad required.
  5. Really hoping for new hairstyles come EoD....And I'm really hoping they're mostly good, not 1 great one, maybe 2-3 passable, and the remaining 7-9 are crap no one touches because they're far too stylized, weird or just plain boring. Look at what people are taking - make more like it. Sylvari especially need more "hair" styles, less branches.
  6. Be aware when quoting someone with expectation of a reply - this thread "ended" on March 22, 2018. That said, I usually jack my Charr and Norn all the way to maximum height, especially with Norn. I usually play a human character, so seeing a large Charr or Norn among a crowd is usually pretty awe inspiring for me. Making them small just means I'll lose them in the mass that is a group comprised of humans and sylvari models (and Asura practically go invisible due to their height.) Guild Wars 2 has a real visual clutter problem...
  7. You dont have to you can use the airship in lions arch or use spearmarshals plea if you done the griffon quest. Eh... the point is I want to walk to Elona, not fast travel. Lore wise, there IS a route, Ebonhold has just blocked it off because of the brand.
  8. I'm all for making existing elite specs available pre-80 or at least their weapons by untying said weapons from needing the trait line active to use. I really don't care if the weapon was built to capitalize on that specific trait line, my "build" is incomplete and clumsy pre-71/80 anyway. Core-Tyria is easy enough to do without a single trait line active regardless that weapon choice is practically flavor preference.
  9. Go ahead and slap down a ton of waypoints. I'll continue to not use them except to move between land masses should no land route between Tyrie or Elona to Cantha exist. Still miffed I have to TP to Elona...I'm also not interested in punishing players with travel time. Death itself is enough of a punishment. I don't get this need to further hurt someone's play experience because they failed. It's not a competition.
  10. They decided not to dye weapons for practical reasons. Yes, it sucks in a lot of cases, but it saves on development resources, which is why we have so darn many weapons in any single category versus armor pieces.
  11. I can get behind this... if female Sylvari and especially Norn get human female tier figures. Norn have no hips. One of the Sylvari cultural armors actually goes the other way and significantly reduces bust size. Tier 2 light I think - I swapped in the nightmare court dungeon set top to avoid that. I would only be for all outfits NOT modifying the body shape if we then could have a better range of body shapes across the humanoid / sized race choices. Eh, from my understanding the current available body shapes are pretty much baked in, as such it might not be feasible to add new ones. Highly doubtful. Honestly, most of them might as well have been manipulated by sliders using one base body figure per race/sex. Only reason I can figure we don't have these sliders ourselves? They wanted to keep people from breaking armor meshes and animations (no doubt if they didn't want Sylvari to have massive chests, they simply wouldn't let us.) I'm only going by what I've seen others that are more knowledgeable on the subject say, not something I came up with myself. And I'm going by what is logically observable. The tech is there, we just don't have access to it.And unfortunately, this wouldn't be the first time Anet has gone "can't be done" yet later delivered anyway.
  12. In order of priority: Outfits/armors.Mount packs/selection licenseUpgrades (character slots, bank slots, shared inventory)Utility (Infinite tools, portal devices, salvage-o-matic) Keys... when I finally run out of other things to break the bank over.
  13. I appreciate the down state on toxic knights, but it works there because they're like the lieutenants among a group of chaff. It sets them apart as "leaders" that refuse to die and not just some mob with a color ring around their portrait indicating a bigger stat pool.Getting a "captain" mob mixed into the chaff in events like a rare spawn (as in one every 3-5 repeats of an event) or as an event boss could be pretty cool.
  14. I didn't vote. I'd say "yes," but I'd settle for just shoulder, glove and boots being interchangeable. The meshing issues between the weights are really a problem with leg/torso interactions. It's been my observation that even if an elementalist has heavy plate looking extremities, a very clearly light armored torso and legs will still feel like cloth/light armor. Or you know... they could just release more plate-looking gauntlet+greaves+spaulders packages. I'll eat them up if they look the part... and are a complete set. No more of that, what is it? Scarlet's armor? Where it's just the spaulders and gauntlets? Why!?
