Wolfheart.7483's Achievements

  1. I am experiencing this, as well, with the Timberline Falls chest. It simply hasn't reset for me. I am on my second time through the achievement and stuck at 9/10. The Timberline chest is open and no text or anything. I can't interact with it at all.
  2. A character mini: A special miniature that, when equipped as your current mini, let's you choose another character on your account to display as the mini. This would allow a player to change the appearance of a character to use them as a customizable mini. Bonus options if not too difficult:Let the mini display armor/aura effects and legendary footfalls if that mini character has a legendary equipped. When your character's weapon is drawn, your mini could draw their weapon as well so that legendary effects on the mini character are displayed. This could either be introduced as a single purchase to enable all of your characters to be displayed as a mini or as a consumable that allows you to set a single character as a mini and require a purchase for each character you'd like to customize as a mini.
  3. Which is what i just did - rougly ~ 12 euros spent on LoL skin about half an hour ago, cause i had that amount to blow and wanted something fun. Had gem store more tame prices on tools (as i already have full set and am not desperate) i would toss that cash at a-net, but the better deal imho got my "fun fund" money today. Just saying there are guys like me who would join in and chip in for the game, had the deals been better. If they're not, it's not that i won't spend at all. I'll just spend it elsewhere... Exactly! IF the choice is:buy a new raptor skin for 25-30€orbuy XCOM2: War of the Chosen for 39.99€ (less when Steam sales)Now guess why i'll be finishing XCOM 2 Campaign again in a couple weeks (i'm too busy to play either atm). Now if mounts were like 10€ each (~1000 gems)? I'd probably have bought 3 of them so far (Jackal, skimmer and springer, didn't like the peacock). Agreed. I would totally buy three new cars if they were $100 each. LOLThat's a sound logic. Does it compare to the game? No.Not even close...A car has specific costs in creating, materials, branding, distribution. And the cheapest you can buy a brand new car is usually around 10 000€. Gem store items don't have material or distribution costs. Also, other "cars" already in the gem store, don't cost 2000 gems. Outfits are similar in scope and use, and cost one third of the mount costs. If you compare value and possible workload on all gem store items, mounts are clearly an outlier. Even permanent tools can be justified because of the savings in gathering tools. While mounts are just an outfit for a skill with some extra sounds. Compared to Character outfits that need to be redesigned 5-10 times (because racial and gender differences) the price difference is clearly exaggerated. I would argue that regular outfits have to be priced at the lower price point in order to achieve sales goals. An outfit competes with the vast number of armor skins in the game. So a player has a huge range of appearance options for their character making it less likely that they would choose a particular outfit. Mount skins are not the same as outfits from that perspective. Well, by that logic gliders would also be sold for 2000 gems, since there's hardly any in-game sources of gliders (only exception is legendary backs), also that very factor is what gives it a more sinister and shady perspective. Since it gives the appearance (intended or not) that Mountfits are a bit extortionist, since they give you no alternative but buy RNG loot boxes, or crazy expensive alternatives, since they deliberately stunted your ability to customize your base mount.I'm not trying to imply that's the actual intention, but that's the interpretation that a lot of people give it. Since Arena Net so far has been unsuccessful in justifying their choices. I mean all we got were very generically, and a bit condescending statements by MO, that mostly read as "You should be thanking us for pricing it like this" and "We're right and you're wrong". What stinks the most is that Gliders were done the same way, the basic glider is really bland, and only has one dye slot when it could easily have two and allow for more customization. But even with that, they made gliders affordable, and it's as rare to see someone with the basic glider as it is to see someone with the 2000 gem mount skins. Not to mention that, unless their sales goals were not to sell many mounts, then they arguably failed them? They haven't been unsuccessful at justifying their prices. They stated their justification which simply is what it is. It is up to each individual if that justification is acceptable. You could try to argue that their justification failed in the eyes of the player base as a whole but that simply isn't true. Regarding gliders, I understand your logic but I don't equate gliders to mounts. Even a simple mount skin would take more effort/development time than a glider skin. The two are not equal.

  5. It won't work because eaters are supposed to eat a really small part of the used currency.I will try to explain this better: It's not something which is needed in order to make a profit or an equal exchange. The currency has no use once you hit 300% MF but it does still drop. Not knowing what would be avaible in the future, as for karma, tokens, golds, quartz and so on, we do simply not trash it. But since it'sNot usable for any recipeNot able to being refined into something else ( like bloodstone dust or other stuff which has multiple uses )Not able to be exchanged for itemsNot able to be stacked in bank ( but due to fact that you gain too much would be pointless. i do currently have around 400 slots occupied by exotic essences stacks ).Not able to be consumed because of the capNot used with any eater ( though it would be a joke because of the way you get it. I mean that eater would eat 6x250 and you will get XX x 250 per day ). We do currently save it ( i currently have 4 full characters, which due to MF stacks can't be played. Fortunately i don't play them but i am also gaining more MF so the problem is getting real ). It is required for some recipes, wallet will not work.
  6. You only need to complete certain parts of the collection during Wintersday. The remainder can be completed the rest of the year, at the player's convenience.
  7. Just turned 40 in September. Avid gamer since I first started playing text-based adventure game's on my dad's Commodore 64 when I was around 6 years old.
  8. Here is an idea I just thought of today:The ability to unlock an "outfit" for a full armor set. Explanation:Sell an item similar to a transmutation charge but with the following use: When activated, the item shows a list of full armor sets the player has unlocked (e.g. human cultural tier 2, warbeast, vigil heavy, etc.)After selecting one of the armor sets, an outfit is unlocked in the wardrobe that encompasses that full armor set.The player can then use that full set as an outfit. The item is consumed once the armor set is selected and finalized.Sell the item for 800-1000 gems. This is more expensive than a regular outfit but allows the player to create additional outfits for full armor sets they like.An additional idea I have posted before but bears repeating:Style slots: Add a style/appearance slot next to each piece of equipment that is visible on the character. Transmutation charges are required to change the style slot.Equipping different armor/weapons/back has no effect on the style slot.I.E.: Add a way to retain skin appearance when equipping a new set of equipment!
  9. I would like to see some mount skins of fully themed sets, like the Halloween skins. I like to theme each of my characters, coordinating a certain look across their armor/weapons/glider/mini/mounts and hate when just one piece of that doesn't have an appropriate skin (I am looking at you, non-existent flame skimmer!). Some of these we already have a skin in the game (electric raptor, frost springer, forged warhound) but I would like those fleshed out as a full set to cover all mount types with the same appearance. I assume we probably will see some of these at some point but for example: Brandedice/frostElectric/lightningAwakenedForgedFull racial setsHolographic (like SAB or the Holographic minis)MordremCelestial (like Starbound and Stardust, complete the full set!) etc.
  10. I would like the ability to gift gem store items I have to another player. Like bank access express, infinite gathering tools, etc.
  11. When people throw around words like "cheat" and "scam" it is completely unwarranted and yet another example of blowing it out of proportion. There is nothing that is a cheat or scam about these. You can dislike the method of sale but do not claim it is something that it is not simply to put it in a more negative light. If the skin distribution is weighted and it doesn't say that on the store then it is absolutely a scam. So it's ok to call it a scam based on something you have absolutely no evidence of? Seems reasonable. If you want to counter what I suggested the burden is on you to show that it is fair, which you also cannot do.Not true at all. People calling it a scam are the ones making an accusation and the burden of proof lies with them. For everything we know, each skin has an equal chance to drop. So the mount adoption contract that guarantees you unlock a mount skin is giving you exactly what it says. Something not being fair is a matter of opinion for something like this. But just because you don't see something as fair does not immediately make it a scam or a cheat.
  12. MO has posted regarding the adoption license:https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/15523/a-message-about-the-mount-adoption-license#latest

So now after adding the adoption contract which is far less "gambling" than a traditional loot box, you equate that to being a primarily loot box reward game?
