  1. Everytime I see that there has been another post in this topic I wonder why in the world a mod hasn't closed it already. I legitimately read the first page or so, but since then realized that the OP was the type that would vehemently argue that the "sky was red" no matter what and moved on with my life.
  2. While I would like more content you are forgetting the sheer amount of time it takes to make more content like the expansions we have been given. There were years of drought with next to no content whatsoever. And while I do wish we got more, and that the story was longer and deeper, I would take what we are currently getting over the Pre-HoT drought. Doubling the price does not immediately give them the manpower they need to make double the content. Even if they spent the money hiring more staff, they would still need to train and integrate the staff. We would not see those results until the next expansion.
  3. You aren't wrong. The premise of Guild Wars to start with was that no one has the exact answers to every problem. The Vigil and Priory wanted to kill the Elder Dragons and varied in their opinions on how while the Order of Whispers wanted to put the dragons back asleep. For ease of storytelling, "Kill the Dragons" won. Similarly the races differed based on their knowledge and resources and the whole plot was to bring them all together to create new things using all of that expertise, but since then it has been easiest to just have the asura tech their way through everything. While every race has had the spotlight for various parts of the story, a lot of the McGuffins have been Asura in nature and it shows.
  4. I didn't post that as an actual disbelief that humans could survive in such a situation, humans find a way in some of the harshest environments we've ever seen. I was merely trying to point out Ascalon's severely weakened state after the Searing. Perhaps the last sentence about finding Ascalon's survivability less believable than the Charr taking out Orr was unnecessary. It was meant more in jest than anything else. Titans were made by a servant of Dhuum if I remember correctly given into the service of Abaddon. There's never any proof that Titans have any amount of God power. I forgot what it was like to be argued with by someone whose Fanon is something they refuse to give up on even when it is directly refuted time and time again. Not worth my time, lol.
  5. There are assumed to be afterlives other than the domains of the Six. We know if the Dwarves who believed they went to the Great Forge and the Tengu who believed they went to the Sky above the Sky. It is possible these were god realms or tied to god realms, but it is unknown. I personally lean towards the idea that there are a multitude of realms scattered about where any number of spirits could go.
  6. Ascalon had literally just been ecologically devastated after the Searing. It isn't surprising at all to imagine that the Ascalonians barely had the resources to attempt to protect and feed their own. They were in no position to attack a charr fighting force. Honestly, I find the charr attack and success in Orr to be far more likely than the fact that the Ascalonians were able to feed and water their civilians for years after the Searing wiped out everything that they had, but that's a whole other conversation.
  7. I've only had it less than a year, and this is my first time having issues. I genuinely wish I didn't need to use a third party app to do something that simple.
  8. I tried this afternoon and it worked. There was an ArcDPS update that seems to have fixed it.
  9. I do have ArcDPS installed, but that is it.
  10. What you described is exactly what I experienced in GW2, but not in any other programs. I maintained a discord conversation with a friend through the multiple disconnects. I guess I'll just have to lose out of dailies til they get this figured out.
  11. I have tried playing GW2 6+ times this evening and every time it crashes. And it crashes so hard that the crash report window doesn't even pop up. The game just stops running. Most of my logins have been in Bjora Marches trying to run my normal chest farm on that character, but I also tried logging into my main in Lion's Arch. I cannot find a specific cause of the issue. Sometimes it is while my character is moving. Sometimes it is when standing still trying to chop down a tree, or interact with the bank/inventory. I am unsure what to do, as I have never experienced a persistent crash like this. I even tried to repair my game and run it after the repair and it still has crashed. Thoughts?
  12. One minor, unimportant correction. Gamdalf was a Maiar, not a Valar. Still of the Ainur, but of a much lesser power level than the Valar. The reasoning behind sending the Maiar/Wizards was because in the last war the Valar, in their might, destroyed the land while defeating Melkor. They did not want a repeat of that process so they sent lesser beings limited by the bodies of elderly men. Anyways, your point stands, and I hope this does not detail the topic.
  13. You were gone for a year... Scourge had a crazy year with SotO release seeing upwards of 50k DPS which they reduced as it was THE highest DPS in the game at the time.

    "E"

If E is truly a smart spy, their name does not start with "E" either so that there is no way to figure out their identity.
