  1. Same here can't login, stuck on downloading... was on about 2 hours ago with no issue.
  2. Unless I am completely blind, I don't see a Guild Bank NPC in the new hub Wizard's Tower. There's one in Arborstone, maybe its an oversight?
  3. They've come a long way since then, I am sure they've iterated enough on skill creation to make this work.
  4. Just wanted to add, who else remembers GW1 Green Weapons? I miss this aspect from GW1 just as much as skill hunting. They kind of have this already in GW2 with unique drops like Sam (from the treasure hunter achievement) but it's not the same. I remember forming parties to hunt Silver Edge in Drakkar Lake and other unique boss drops for build craft.
  5. What other kind of progression would you think they could add if not new elite specializations? I understand they stated the wanted to avoid the balance that the 1300+ skills in GW1, I am not suggesting a massive amount just 9 Elite skills that could add some flavor to the current specs we have now. It's been 10 years since then, and they have already added many new profession skills over the years. I'm pretty sure they can continue iterating on skills progression with one new skill that could add some sense of "freshness" to the existing professions without changing the meta or playstyle of class. Also I'm just spitballing here about where Anet might take the professions moving forward if indeed there will be no more elite specializations with these mini expansions.
  6. I've been thinking about what possible new features Arenanet could bring to these new mini expansions. I think now is a good time for the return of Signet of Capture. For those that are unaware, Signet of Capture was a purchasable skill from Guild Wars 1 that you slotted into your skill bar. You would then venture out into the instanced based pve maps, locate a unique boss that once killed allowed you to take their unique profession elite skill. Since anet somewhat divulged no new elite specializations would be coming with the new mini expansion model, why not add the ability for continued build diversity and theory craft by only adding one unique skill. This way they would only need to balance around a few niche skills instead of 9 whole professions. They could implement it way were each profession had a unique world boss that either spwans on a timer or through event chains. You would still need to purchase the Signet of Capture, but the ability to do so would be locked behind mastery ranks. With each new rank up lowering the cost. I think WoW at some point added a gameplay mechanic where you would be given a piece of gear that was sperate from the normal armor/weapons that you could upgrade which would add new profession mechanics or buffs to your character. We could se something like this being added with the new elite skill being itself upgradable with tiers that needed you to collect essences that the unique boss drops. Maybe even adding a whole new ability tree, mind you that these buffs would only be small and incremental . There are many possibilities that could be explored and would get people out in the open world more, while still adding a sense of build diversity and character progression that in my view is lacking from GW1 to GW2. Apologies for any spelling/grammar mistakes, writing this on a train coming from work...
  7. Another 2 hours wasted, can't really get mad at the people actually playing as intended. The only one to blame is Anet themselves. Any company worth their salt have procedures in place, such as turnover binder, in order to keep consistency when people leave the organization. Plus they should be documenting any fixes and have them readily available for people to look back on.
  8. I remember back when I was working on Astralaria when it first dropped. Same thing happened, people complained and after an eternity Anet changed the flag on the on collection to work with either version to work. What I dont understand is why the same fix wasn't applied to the Zhaitan variant collection. That is a blatant oversight, on top of the 10k research notes it's like a slap in the face.
  9. How many clicks does it take to get 10k research notes.... my poor poor mouse. If they set the requirement that high at least give us a salvage all option PLEASE!!!!!
  10. I see they "fixed" this debuff, without stating it in patch notes.... If you're going to fix what wasn't really broken in the first place at least buff dusk/dawn fishing holes to compensate. You are killing my desire to fish in this game. For those unware, before this "fix" you could quickly move between fishing holes by canceling the last fish reel-in then hop on a skimmer and speed faster and more agile then if you stayed on the skiff. This allowed you to safely keep your fishing party stacks while moving between fishing holes. This was crucial to hop quickly from fishing hole to fishing hole during the 5 min window of dawn/dusk. I think I'm going to hang up my gear and pole for good now.
  11. Since I don't believe they will address this anytime soon, can some one suggest a program that will bind scroll for clicks?
  12. Over a month later and still no salvage all for Research Kits.... Why? Do I need to call WS?
  13. Remove the other rarity tiers above that fish or at least boost the amount of tries a the fishing spot to 5. Having to speed around the map looking for the correct spots wastes precious seconds.
  14. 11 IRL DAYS (and counting) for a collection is ridiculous. So many hours wasted waiting for a 5 min window for a rare/exotic fish that is rarer then ascended/legendary quality is shoddy game design. Will you address this Anet? or will you stay silent and wait for posts like this to disappear from the 1st page? Solution: add the kitten fish to the daily chest for the relevant map/area
  15. My two cents: 1. With every level of the the fishing title, REDUCE THE BLOODY AFTERCAST of catching the kitten fish. 2. If you insist of having dawn/dusk dependent fish, either up the amount of fishing holes or up the time by an extra 5 mins. Having to kittening wait an hour for 6-9 tries at a kitten fish that is rarer than a legendary fish is ridiculous! For what is supposed to be a relaxing past time in game, I've found my self getting quite agitated whilst fishing.
