  2. Exactly - the game, you can tell, was meant for larger battles from the get-go. On an older balance post from the devs said they try balance for groups of 10 or larger. To me, that means they never intended a smaller game play experience; that is sPvP.
  3. Small teams/solo roaming isn't WvW though; it's more open world PvE. The concept of "WvW" always was large, epic, huge multi-player battles. This would be a big change for Anet.
  4. Revamping to take advantage of new hardware is an even bigger change than moving from DX9 to a newer version (and we all know the progress there). I think we'll see GW3 before we see GW2 re-written for ARM. I'll guessing that if your vision of an ARM future comes true, it's emulator time for GW2.
  5. I interpret that people are really saying "yes there are toxic people but why give them another tool that increases their toxic opportunities". If DPS meters are really about player improvement and "git gud" then just make them personalized so only you can monitor your performance and improve. The bulk of GW2's content can be completed by almost anyone in any build - sure, it might not be the fastest or most optimized but you'll get through it.
  6. That may be true for you, but based on the comments and results of polls, most players don't care about a "server" or "server identity". For them, it's closer to home - the guild they fight with/for and the friends they fight with/for. The "server" they're on doesn't matter at all.
  7. I've seen videos of GW1 and the capes. They look horrible - they don't move naturally and it adds nothing to the game or the character. Why are people so ga-ga over capes? I'd rather the developers spend their time and money balancing the game, porting to a more recent DX, etc.
  8. There have been some concerns about how World Restructuring will change the ways people are matched in public maps outside of WvW. In a previous post, I alluded to the possibility of an issue here but I was mistaken. At the time, I wasn't clear about public map instance selection and how it was done. I've now done the proper discovery and nothing about how we are changing worlds with world restructuring will effect instance selection for public maps. RP'ers rejoice! Thankfully we can put this issue to bed.
