  1. Skiff & fishing wish-list / suggestions for Halloween Spirits Skiff - an ethereal skiff. At night (based on current map) the entire skiff and all party members gain the ghostly aura (similar to Halloween related foods). During the day, the skiff looks normal. At night, it's transparent and ghostly. You can use it too keep track of day/night cycles... also looks cool. Halloween fishing food/recipes - grants fishing power & the ghostly aura. Ingredients are fished from Mad King fishing pools, that are part of a new seasonal fishing achievement. Pirate Raft Skiff - A life raft for the undead a beat-up pirate raft made of rotted wood, with a tattered pirate flag. There are no seats - you stand (push the raft like a gondola). Other items: treasure chest, piles of bones, bottle of booze While on the skiff, all fishing party members are transformed into skeletons (like the tonic) but with fishing animations. The fish you catch is fishbones. The skeleton player driving the skiff wears a pirate hat. Party members have different colored neck scarfs. Alternately, the skeleton appearance only happens at night A fishing rod made of bones. The lure is a small skull that bobs in the water. 💀
  2. When fishing, could skills 6-0 be used to display some fishing icons: bait (icon + amount) lure (icon + amount) symbol for day/night/dawn/dusk - changes based on the map time for fishing fishing power indicator (based on where you cast) - eg: green/check (you're ok), yellow/line (some difficulty), red/X (too hard) They wouldn't do anything, other than let you keep track, tidier (don't have hero panel open), and less confusing
  3. I've gotten this bug without even logging in to a character in game --- just from deleting a character, or attempting to create a character but then going back to the character select screen, and having the tell-tale sign of not all the character icons loading properly. Basically the character select breaks if you ask it to do multiple things.
  4. I've been having the same problems described, all day long yesterday and today. Tonight I tried deleting local.dat, didn't help. I deleted gw2.dat... and after hours of wait to reinstall... it seemed to be fixed: I logged in to multiple characters (like 8-10) with no issues at all. Hooray! I logged out of the game completely and came to post thinking this was the solution... then thought I'd better double check. Logged back in (literally, just 10 minutes later)....and the problem is back 100% the same: starts when logging out of first character, long load times, invisible characters, missing stuff, broken graphics. So...it didn't help 😭
  5. So what's the best underwater build to switch to if you're playing specter? There doesn't seem to be any info on underwater builds specifically (lol cause no one cares?) - should I just pick a decent land build for core/deadeye/daredevil to use underwater?
  6. Whale Spirit Glider. Not a glider I was interested in before... But with Cantha, water dragons, and giant holo whales, this glider is suddenly super appealing! ...And it's dyable?! I need this to fly around New Kaineng. I hope it comes back soon.
  7. Suggestion: Hexed Outfit (Female) --> please give us the hat as a armor skin (preferably for all three armor classes). It's not fair that only females get to wear it, and it fits for Cantha. Either include the under-hood as is or give it fake hair (but don't make us bald). I love the moving dangly bits and the worn hole.
  8. More faces are always welcome, especially since Charr have so few. I'm disappointed that all the new male Charr faces have pink noses. The older faces were hard to dye entirely black. The new ones take all black dye better... but the bright pink nose stands out too much. The female faces don't have this issue. Real cats: pink noses, black noses, brown noses, grey noses, spotted/multi-coloured noses, based on their fur colour. I'm not sure why they'd pass on the opportunity to tie it to fur colour. Or at least vary them. Love the new hairstyles.
  9. For me the fun dyes or best dyes are the ones that have either high contrast or can appear as different/multi colors. A lot of the ones that immediately popped in my head are already listed here (Charred & Cinders. Enameled Emblaze. Abyssal Sea/Abyssal Forest/Bloody Red. The Mad King dyes like Ember Red, Carnage Orange, etc.) So I'm going to try to add some that aren't here: Seraphim -- from the yellow cannisters. I dismissed it at first (ew, muddy yellow) but now I've been using it quite a lot. It's a very high contrast gold, that can range from almost black/dark brown to a very shiny gold Midnight Bronze -- can be situational, but has some color change I prefer Frostbite Blue to Permafrost. It's got the same burn your eyeballs out glow, but the blue makes it extra wintery-magic
  10. I could see a new legendary SHIELD that is a small shield with two sheathed, crossed swords... when you draw the shield, magical summoned swords float and follow you around...but as basically just for show, with maybe a few animations changed to incorporate them visually
  11. I think there should be (at least one) cape style glider + backpiece -- but I don't think that every cape in game should become a glider skin. A glider that looks like a cape should be designed and animated specifically for use as a glider. Gliding like a caped comic book hero is no more ridiculous as standing on flying sheet music while playing a lyre... or standing an a rock that's on fire...
  12. ...It's true that we have too many empty maps and metas that can't get completed. I think we do need Cantha (which is new maps). But what about using the skyscale (and other mounts) and essentially creating an upper level to old maps? Whether this is floating castles in the sky, or a series of airships, or Asura spacetech... could be stationary or moving locationsseries of floating steps that a springer could reachfar apart, tiered locations you use a griffon to fly tojackel portals used to reach locationsmore chances to use gliders, add ley-lines, bouncing mushrooms, etcYou'd get new places to explore, new spots to put NPCs, but you'd still be in the old map, where people could see map chat, see metas happening. You could still tie in stuff needing to be done on the ground. They could also fix those old invisible walls that no longer make sense. And who's to say that there wasn't always stuff up in the sky, but that no one could reach (until now)? (...or conversely, underground levels, I suppose?)
  13. You can start by going to Anette Eymundrdottir, the karma merchant found at Jora's Keep. Buy all the Ancient Boreal Weapons from her. That unlocks the Restored Boreal Weapons recipes you can also buy from her. Craft those weapons, they are then used to craft Illuminated Boreal weapons... buy those recipes from Humble Stone at Spirits' Refuge. Then craft the Illuminated Boreal weapons. Aside from getting the required eitrite ingots and pricey amalgamated draconic lodestones, nothing special is involved. You say you don't need the other map currencies, but my dump for eternal ice shards is buying kralkatite ore for crafting the Astral/Stellar weapons. The weapon sets from Bjora Marches have collections attached to them, but the Astral/Stellar weapon sets from Istan really only give you the resulting weapon/skin; if you don't care for them, there's less impetus to make them. But the enormous amounts of kralkatite ore needed ensures you won't have ice shard stacks for a long, long time if you go that route. I'm not aware of any other uses...
  14. Hey... so you need black lion keys -- which you either get by doing the once weekly key farm, or by purchasing from the gemstore -- to open black lion chests. The black lion miniature claim tickets drop from those chests (common drop). Black lion statuettes drop too, which is currency you can use to buy items, you can buy miniature tickets that way too (1 mini ticket costs 10 statuettes so to buy the mini you want, you need 20 statuettes). Basically if you've ever opened BL chests, you'll have a few of those mini tickets and/or statuettes kicking around...
  15. re: mini feline familiar... I believe it's available via black lion miniature claim tickets. Check the holiday tab of the tickets. Black lion miniature claim tickets drop from black lion chests, or you can buy them with statuettes. (I'm at work right now and don't see it listed on the GW2 website, but pretty sure I purchased one yesterday)
