  1. Were you using Legendary Equipment? If not, then this outcome was 100% to be expected. Just because you're using a piece from set #1 at set #2, doesn't mean it's two different items that you can freely customize. It's completely the same item. If you change the rune in one piece of equipment, it will also change in the other templates. That's how non-legendary armor works and it's the reason why legendary armor exists - it makes it possible to switch, mix 'n match runes and sigils without deleting the runes itself. So TL;DR If you want to swap runes and use different runes in the same item but in different equipment tabs, you need legendary armor.
  2. As for one-handed swords, I don't think there's much to choose from. "Blade of the Scion" has a quite shiny blue blade, it does look like blue metal is actually glowing blue, but you don't have and special ghostly effect. I have yet to find a perfect blue one handed sword, as I've been looking for what you describe for quite some time. I ended up using "Blade of the Scion" (similar name, different weapon) because it has absolutely insane glowing effects when wielded. So much that I can't see my character when he's wielding two of them. There is some blue there and there, but mostly it's like Bifrost's glow, rainbow-ish. Also the spectral sword has a ghostly glow, but only at the skull-handle, not at the blade. If you by any chance mean Greatsword, then you should check out the Foefire's Essence or Cobalt. They have both the same blue glow like the Ascalonian Ghosts ingame.
  3. We also get the same pink cloud during PoF when Kas turns us into Archon Iberu so it's nothing "new" Personally I prefer the pink cloud over a real Transformation because the illusion spell is not exclusive to a story instance. It would be awkward to run around as a Charr with a sylvari/asura/norn voice in the open world.
  4. The name of this item is rather misleading. Everyone who bought HoT before August 30th got it. So in this case "veteran" means "someone who bought HoT when it still cost money"
  5. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Forbidden_Vault This is a hidden chamber near the Bone Palace in The Desolation. You can only enter it via a small event chain. It's a ..... "cozy" ..... place with lots of blankets and pillows as well as seperate rooms. In the middle stands a statue of Joko striking a.. well.. "sexy" pose. Inside this room are different male and female NPCs: Humans, ogres, harpies and a choya. As you talk to them you find out that this place is where Joko keeps his harem. All these NPCs are betrothed to Joko. Their dialogues are unsettling (obviously, no one there is really happy but they are glad they can "serve him") and the one with the disturbing dialogue is....... the female choya. She hides in a tiny seperate room. If you approach her, a human female will say "Leave her alone, she is shy and rarely speaks". If you talk to the choya she will only say "..." and you dialogue option is "Oh no.."
  6. Except the message does not pop up if you use any teleport skill that teleports you past the red border into the red zone. Then the game just instakicks you without a warning and without giving you a split second time to dodge back into the play zone. However, if you just casually walk past the red zone border into the red zone, the warning will pop up and give you plenty of time to return back before it kicks you. The worst red zone I experienced was in the "Forearmed Is Forewarned" story instance, where you need to clear out awakened barricades by teleporting via Blish' arm to them, placing a bomb and then teleporting out of there. One barricade is on a narrow path directly at the red border.......... I managed to kick myself out of the instance at this part three times (!) because there is just so little room to teleport out of there. And it's not like you have amuch of a choice, you need to use the arm, the instance was designed that way (so you can't just burst down the enemies with your regular skills afaik) Another example is the guild mission where you need to defend rations/barrels from the fire legion. The enemies spawn a mile into the red zone so if you accidentaly use a teleport skill (looking at you, "Phase Traversal", 1,200 range teleport skill....) , it instakicks you Instead of instakicking, the warning should always pop up and give you at least 3 seconds to return/teleport back. Or maybe at least down you and teleport you back to the border as a punishment.
  7. Considering that Leggy armor is basically the "ultimate endgame armor", the timegate is completely justified. Once you have your full leggy armor you will be forever able to mix and match a character of that weight class as you please, you will also never ever have to craft anything for them, ever. You will also never have to use upgrade extractors. BUT you can achive almost the same effect by simply crafting multiple asc armors. I currently have 3 different asc heavy armor sets and some weapon sets (power, support, condi) which means I can switch between these options whenever I feel like it. Switching between these gear sets doesn't take long, maybe a minute or two. All you need to do is either invest in an additional bank slot or additional inv slots to store them in. If you are in a guild with a guild hall, you can also access your bank within seconds without having to move from where you currently are. This means I usually carry one set on my toon, one set in an invisible bag slot in my inv and the third is either in my bank or on another toon that currently uses it. Crafting asc gear is a far less timegated goal and can be easily done while casually playing. Since we now drop unidentified armor, inventory management is very relaxing and I never ran out of space for my extra gear. So far I have never felt the need for leggy armor. The only downside is that you cannot switch runes, sigils or infusions that easily but if most builds seem to use the same runes and sigils anyway. If you, however, want the luxury to access all possible stat combinations from the entire game to be able to play 30+ different builds, then you will have to dedicate your time as best as you can to get the leggy armor.
  8. 10/10 awesome title, I chuckled but then I cried. The amount of pink and purple in this game is outrageous. I understand that purple fits the current storyline lore-wise (because of Kralk and branded), but seriously? It seems that all we get recently is pink and purple. Dragonsblood weapons, Branded weapons, that fancy mask from the newsletter, now this leggy trinket. I'm suprised the Mystic Infusion isn't purple, too. but hey at least I have a lot of stuff to choose from when I go female human mesmer meta! But on another note.. the Vision effect is very well done and pretty. It's just the color that ruins it for me..
  9. I mean, I wouldn't really call this "little help", especially since PoF because Aurene is the reason why we suceed over and over again. As for other Bossfights, I feel like there was always Rox, Brahm or whatever closeby to help (even though they barely do real damage to the HP bar, but that's just a gameplay-mechanic. The PC does not do 100% more damage then the other allies lore-wise) And I love your theory about being a half-god! But how would that work for Sylvari?
  10. No. I thought it would be impossible to gather all the currencies but I was very wrong. It went quite fast and I enjoyed it. Got all the currencies over the course of two days by using two characters. In total I would say.. 8 hours? Hard to tell. For the currency, you literally need to play the game as it is intended to be played: do events, gather materials as you pass them, do heart vendors as you pass them, explore the map to 100%, do the map dailies. Why do people feel so "violated" by this? Why are you doing the Skyscale collection if you don't want to play open world maps as they are intended? Why should it get easier for everyone just because you can't (or don't want to) spend more then 30 minutes a day on GW2? In that case, do you really need a mount like this? Isn't the raptor, that you unlock after a 10min story instance, perfectly enough?
  11. Once the merchants are unlocked they stay unlocked, which means all you have to do is spend time on the map and then have a permanent access to them. There is, IMO, nothing wrong with that and surely more enjoyable then having to do the same heart quests each day if you want to buy something from a merchant. It's not like this is something "new" that we never seen before. On HoT you need to do multiple masteries (meaning, you had to gather lots of mastery points and a big load of EXP) to talk with specific vendors. Now THAT, my friend, took ages!
  12. This also happens if you fly with the Griffon, use the Jump of Faith and then mount up the Skyscale. It will not have any "flight juice" and slowly fall to the ground. For me this is perfectly acceptable because otherwise I would be able to perfectly reach everything I want with minimal effort. As for the mechanics, once you have the third mastery and get used to it you will climb small walls like a champ. People just need to give the Skyscale a chance and get used to it. Today I literally got faster up the smaller cliffs in Dragonfall with the Skyscale then people on Springers. I was pretty impressed. The Skyscale is also faster (if you use the endurance bar roll) then the Griffon while gliding. So the Skyscale is the perfect match for a quick speed burst when you travel from cliff to cliff. During the Dragonfall meta I managed to jump faster from cliff to cliff then people mounting/dismounting from Raptor to Griffon etc. I am suprised how well the Skyscale works on short distances. For me it's perfectly fine and fits in my personal niche that I needed ("faster gliding/flying when not able to gain superspeed as griffon on short distances or when travelling from cliff to cliff"). I give the mount a 9/10, the collection was absolutely worth it. I use all my mounts depending on the situation and the skyscale has now a great spot.
  13. Isn't Primordus' head size a bit exaggerated? There is a video on youtube ("Guild wars 2- Traveling inside Primordus Mouth") where the player flies into the open mouth, almost reaching the tounge and Primordus isn't looking that gigantic like on the pictures above.. /Edit: The video from the post below convinced me otherwise, it seems that the Primordus head model continues out of bonds of the map that we can see in the story instance, so this is why it looks that gigantic on the comparison pictures
