  1. This thread is so good! So many agreeable takes! Buff cele, trailblazer and minstrel. I just get oneshotted by these pesky thieves and rangers (My dodge keybind is broken) so I would like to be more tanky. I need more boons too! Unless I have raid level boon uptime as a solo play, I don't know how I can handle all these thieves and sic em rangers man! I mainly play cele nade scrapper, cele harb or cele willbender or something squishy like stone heart minstrel tempest or some other minstrel support. Please give more projectile hate too (Like I said, my dodge keybind and brain is broken!), Ventari, magnetic aura, def field, barrier signet, winds and SoA are not enough!
  2. ITT: Non thief mains talking about thief like it's their mains. DE is not dead, it's about the same power level, maybe slightly less powerful than before. The initiative gain you had before was already insanely high with Mal7. The extra initiative you gain from entering and exiting stealth quickly is good, don't get me wrong, but the power of constant repositioning and passive initiative regeneration in stealth is always much more useful. What this patch did was much much more harmful to d/p SA DD, d/p SA Core and SA d/d core which people used to run to counter DE. People think it's a buff claiming "permanent protection and superspeed is so OP" which in my opinion is completely useless traits in WvW. Superspeed on thief is one of the weirdest thing to add since thief bread and butter is gap closers (Shadowstep, infil signet, steal, d/p 3, longbow 5, sword 2, rifle 4, wells etc etc etc). The protection is short and doesn't really fit thief since the real strength of thief has always been resetting in stealth, they will lose brawly fights anyways unless your opponent is much worse than you or play a dedicated zerg build (hammer rev, scourge etc.). Let's not forget that Mal7 in a good DE's hands is going to give perma protection regardless. I agree, the SA traitline has always felt cheap and not fun to play against, but making thief more brawly doesn't work unless they revamp thief completely or buff something else. The ability to reset on the same level as DE while also being able to gap close with SA d/p DD was one of the only hard counters to DE and now it's kind of dead. It feels like the whole SA tree now is just a glorified side tree for support Specter. Much more useful changes would be to focus on the actual problems. DE: Reducing Skirmishing Shot damage, increasing Skirmishing shot initiative cost by lets say 1, add diminishing returns or rework the immob spam on Spotter Shot, alternatively increase Spotter Shot initiative cost by 1 or 2, reduce knockdown duration on Blinding Shadows, reduce Mal7 boon uptime by 4s, remove 1 ammo charge on Shadow Meld. SA: Revert changes completely. Give other classes more easy access to reveal, bake it in to relatively common traits. D/p: Reduce blind uptime on Shadow Shot to 1.5-2s instead of 5, reduce Backstab damage slightly, reduce damage on heartseeker slightly.
  3. Well trailblazer is a smaller problem than the built itself, but trailblazer is still a problem. The whole trailblazer saga could perhaps have been ranted about in another thread, it can't be ignored though the synergy it applies to this build.
  4. So this is nothing new, the good old core necro, trailblazer, condi immortal faceroll necro. But now when people have started perfecting them they have become a real problem. It's got extremely high condi dmg, high condi duration, they can re-apply them with ez, they take virtually no damage at all and it doesn't matter if you rotate your interrupts on a Korean Tekken player level, they can just stand there and tank the damage while stunned or dazed. And if you manage to get them low enough they have a full 30k bar of shroud, that they use to recharge their health with vampirism and life steal. And then the cycle continues, full shroud -> full health -> full shroud -> full health. It can be countered if you play like an extreme coward and out of combat constantly or play a build specifically for taking down this exact build, but then again, they can just kite you to nearest tower if they see they are losing. Inb4 "Use resistance LUL". Yeah you will need 1 minute of resistance if you wanna take them down since re applying condis after a cleanse is a peace of cake. &What to do about it? I don't know, I think the problem lies with trailblazer being a thing that gives extreme tankiness and all the damage a condi class needs. But arena net already hard nerfed mirage and other condi builds so trailblazer for them is the only way to at least relevant.
  5. Just experienced the closest thing i've been to a chicken dance in a long while. We we're literally 20... (20!!!) people chasing one solo holosmith from our keep in EBG to stonemist, we were not far away either, 20 ppl sticking on him like glue, and we couldn't kill him. It's so broken it's sad.
  6. I'm surprised I have not seen any threads about this. The current core swap event sneaked in a big stinker that I think everyone that played the event has noticed.There is a bug where holosmith's mini potions have no cooldown, if you have it, you cannot be killed pretty much. This IMO ruined everything, holosmith's are absolutely unkillable with this bug and it's not fun seeing 4-5 holos running around killing everything that is not enemy holos. Please fix.
