  1. But does it modify them to give you an unfair advantage, surely this "mod" is just forcing the software (launcher ) to run in another piece of software (dx12 file ) to improve the gameplay, unless it does other things aswell, ( havent played around with it ) I'm fairly certain that it's a blanket clause that simply says you are not allowed to modify any game files for any reason, and then it specifies a number of examples that people might commonly edit game files for Took me all of 10 seconds to find a clause for you https://www.guildwars2.com/en/legal/guild-wars-2-user-agreement/True, but then arcdps is a violation as well (it modifies the exact same file) and Anet dont mind that last I checked. Anyway regarding this mod... I just hope it kicks up enough fuss to get Anet to do it officially instead. And that's why it's a blanket clause: catches anything and everything that could fit the criteria. So usually these things fall under a severity rule where, if deemed serious enough, they could take action against it (like warning the user, or banning them for 3rd party use). I don't think they will ever truly accept the use of third parties. They have to be extremely careful because of the nature of their business, and not whimsically accept every third party software that comes into the market. That and I doubt they're going to staff anyone who's only job is to investigate third parties, when they could be doing many more things elsewhere in game development and the like. So "use at your own risk" is probably still the answer everyone is looking for.

  3. If it modifies any game files, then it is likely already in violation of the EULA And that means any game files, not just the executable launcher...
  4. I'll try to complete at least one map on days when most of my guild mates are not on. Good way to take a break from the constant grinding. Not that map completion can't be a grind. I usually take a short break after I complete a map.
  5. Yes! Please do not skip this message OP. You can buy the season bundle packs for much less than individual sales.
  6. Wiki says that it drops in a crate, so I assume that crate is left untouched https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Invisible_Boot_Box
  7. Moreso over condition warriors because fights generally don't last very long. Conditions have this ramp up time that I believe simply takes too long to outclass Power DPS for a Warrior in fractals. You might even make the fractal take longer to complete running a condition Warrior.
  8. That's why the best results are often in a party or group of friends. You can call out what treasures are closer and move on from there. I think most people are going to get around 12-15 on average without a lot of hassle. 20+ is probably more often done in a chest hunting party.
  9. You can probably take those legion spy kits with you if you're unable to stealth yourself easily. I can average 12-15 every run on my Ranger without any stealth. It's also MUCH easier if you rebind your Griffon/Raptor/Jackal mounts to something on your keyboard or mouse. I can usually dismount, pick up the chest, and quickly remount before a mob attacks me. Griffon helps when you're near ledges, Raptor helps on flatter ground, and Jackal helps with dodging multiple enemies. I think quickness is irrelevant because the pickup is instant. Maybe helps in situations where you're spamming skills to get away, and they have long cast times. I love doing these from time to time :) it's free profit and fills in some parts of my day
  10. It's nice if you like feeling self-sufficient about crafting materials, but there's nothing wrong with having to buy lower tier materials off of the market. You can save a few coins, here and there, by posting up buy orders instead of buying them directly. New people who are late coming into the game are going to see that their materials are selling very rapidly. Otherwise they think no one's here to even buy them, so they probably aren't needed... Also I suppose you could just inadvertently sell the materials you collected on the market, too :)
  11. It's not comparable to PvE in the slightest. You're really only there because you want to be, or you're doing your dailies for the extra track points.
  12. Should be no coincidence that raids and fractals run a particular meta (fractals at higher levels) to be more efficient and have a much higher chance of success and loot for everyone. This same logic applies to WvW where, if X zerg has many of these meta classes, and Y zerg has very little, then the X zerg has a drastically higher chance of winning the engagement. There's little you can do against that besides run the same meta classes.
  13. Quite literally, your solo end-game content will be farming events that do not have the tag [Group Event]. That's if you don't want to waste your time. I think only some events in the Heart of Thorns areas are not properly tagged as a Group Event... You can replay hero challenges in Heart of Thorns and Path of Fire. You can also repeat Heart of Thorns/Path of Fire adventures every day for the bronze/silver/gold chests. Do Buried Treasure runs in Desert Highlands every other hour during the Treasure Hunt event. Do your daily gathering runs, crafting, and daily achievement completion (OW, WvW and PvP). Also you can farm the map bonuses in a particular map by playing the events of that map. You can even try your hand at playing some of the pre-meta events for some extra keys on your future runs in Heart of Thorns. I think some of them are fairly challenging. Basically look at any Heart of Thorns/Path of Fire map, and you'll quickly see what events you can (most likely) do by yourself without anyone's help. Are these the most profitable? Of course not. We'd never need to do group content if solo play was as viable as group play. I like to think there's plenty of content in the game for one person to enjoy. That's if they're really looking for solo content, and not profitable content.
  14. The way everybody talked about Istan, there was no need to farm Silverwastes. It was the powerhouse of farming, and I'm sure people made quite the profit off of it initially. Saturated the markets, fluctuating the prices... you get the idea I assume the nerfs to Istan were to keep it from getting out of hand. Even with the Silverwastes farm you aren't really making considerable amounts of gold without doing so for hours. That's if you don't mind driving yourself crazy.
  15. This is definitely a reoccurring problem. Clear Modrem events in the Far Silverwastes get bugged at 3/4 with no Mordrem left to kill. The Beetle never spawns anywhere inside of the map. I have been in the same instance for 2 hours, and people say it spawns every 15 minutes? Only testament to this is that we cannot finish the Clear Mordrem event.
