I'm just starting out in GW2. I really want to be an Asura Warrior, but one thing is holding me back, and that's their small size. I'm a transmog crackhead in MMOs and so I usually play larger races so I can show off better. However, the personality and animations of the Asura have won me over in GW2. So you see my problem. I've read about the Endless Embiggening Tonic, and I'm wondering if a max height Asura male with the biggest body type and using the Tonic might just be enough to quell my hesitation. The Tonic is in a Season 3 zone and I plan on playing through the story in order, so it will be a while before I get there. So I was wondering if any Asura players who have the Tonic could go and take some comparison screenshots for me? If you play a maximum height Asura Male and have the Tonic, I would love to see some pictures of you next to players of taller races who are *not* embiggened so I can see the height difference. I think if I can at least get close to the height of your typical human player character, I'll be able to commit to Asura with no second thoughts. Even a single picture would help, but if you want to be extra nice you could take a few with different races. Thanks for indulging my strange request!

Thanks for the info Danikat! Weirdly enough both times I've seen it have been late at night. Tonight I logged in at 4 AM EST and showed up just in time to see the event end. But I'll take a loot at peak hours and see what's shakin'.

Sorry in advance for being weird but I'm pretty weird. I'm trying to see every available dynamic event in the game at least once, but I'm having trouble finding some of them. There are plenty that seem to be happening constantly, but then there are others that barely seem to spawn at all. I was wondering if there's some sort of logic to dynamic events - do you have a better chance of finding rarer events when zones are highly populated at peak hours, or less populated late at night? Does guesting onto different servers help or do all servers share the same zone instances? Is there a certain time of day, like a reset time or something, when these rarer events can pop? As an example - in the Asura starting instance, Explosive Intellect, there's apparently an event that can happen before you go through the portal to fight the big golem. In the event, the portal is non-functional and Zojja shows up to activate it, and you need to fight off golems while she works. I've only ever any trace of this event twice - once a couple years ago, the next time was earlier tonight - and both times I showed up right after the event ended and Zojja went through the portal. So it still exists, it's just incredibly rare I guess? Mind you, I've spent probably 6+ hours just hanging around where the event happens and I've never seen it pop, I've only caught a glimpses of the tail end of it when first arriving after logging into the instance. Wouldn't that be confusing for someone who's never gotten past level 30 or so on the class?

Hi! So thematically Engineer - specifically Asura Engineer - has always been the most appealing class to me, but every time I've tried to get into it (once every three years or so, starting in 2012), the actual gameplay has wound up driving me away. I hated spamming 1 to throw grenades, I hated having to swap between a bunch of different kits just for the one useful ability in each kit, and more than anything I hated watching other classes run in and effortlessly solo champions that I had spent 20 minutes repeatedly dying against. It didn't help that playing Engineer literally made my hands hurt in a way no other game ever had. One day I rolled up a Warrior to see if the grass was really greener on the other side, and found that I was performing 300% better while putting in 25% of the effort. I felt scammed. All that time, I could have spent feeling like an epic hero who could survive against overwhelming odds and legendary foes, instead of a dinky amateur tinker who spent a lot of his time just idling around waiting for someone else to show up because he couldn't handle anything challenging without adult supervision. Nevertheless, I am an idiot, and I want to try Engineer one more time. This time I've read Holomancer is an easier way to play Engineer, but I need to get to level 80 on Core Engineer first. Are there any builds that perform well that don't involve swapping between a bunch of different kits, or jabbing the 1 key until you sprain your finger? I've read about some flamethrower builds from around launch, but I don't know if they're any good these days. I also wanted to ask long-time Engineers if it's even worth playing Holosmith if you hate the gameplay of Core Engineer but enjoy the 'class fantasy'. Thanks!

Hey, all. I'm a returning player who last played all the way back in 2012. I never got very far, and I'm excited to see all there is to see. I know I want to be a Charr warrior - a dignified and noble one, more of a captain and commander than a berserker or barbarian. I also want to have a charr that leans more toward a lion-like appearance, but it's very hard to make one of those in regular character creation, since the default faces trend more toward a hyena-ish or generally monstrous appearance. However, there's an incredible lion face available with a Total Makeover kit, but being new I don't have any gems or any gold to buy gems with. I don't know if this is a crazy request, but I would be incredibly appreciative if someone could send me one of those kits so I can be the charr I know I was born to be. Thanks for reading!
