I'm pretty happy with this skin as well. Not the first thing i was hoping for but it is quite beautiful! Still hoping for a more viscous skin in the near future though :P. I really like purple on it! Gives it an evil vibe imo. I am loving the face as well!

In honestly doesn't need those abilities..Skyscale is already capable of breaking out of just about every map the way it is now which really makes me beg the question why they just don't give it free flying.It can already do all the things it's lack of free flying was meant to avoid so yeah.. kinda pointless restrictions that don't work lol While it may seem that way, I'd argue that you still need to interact with each map in order to gain such heights, similar to the griffon. Players fear the free flight would negate any need to interact with the maps which can lead to many players just flying by alot of content. That being said, I personally don't think free flight would be that big of a map killer, but I do think the extra amount of thought you have to put into flying ATM makes it more fun than just pressing space bar and forward like in many other games.

If you own the episodes you only need to play long enough to unlock the maps for each one. (Like one to two quests) However I can see why those who don't own it would be frustrated. You can aquire them via the gold to gem trade system in game, but it is indeed more grinding on top of an already lengthy process.

I chose griffon due to it being a bit more fun to just play around with but I over all think skyscale is slightly more useful for getting over obstacles.

Skyscale has been incredibly useful to me personally. It is way easier to climb cliffsides with Skyscale than Springer in many cases, though Springer might be faster depending on if the jumps are easy to land. I think all the mounts have their uses still, but I've been defaulting to skyscale recently due to it making getting over obstacles a breeze. I do climb high on skyscale and swap to griffon when trying to cross the map quickly though.

I certainly wouldn't mind a (slight) speed increase over all. Otherwise, with all the masteries, I think skyscale is in a pretty decent place. I personally default to it now since it's just convenient enough to not want to switch to griffon or Springer in most cases. I like that the other mounts remain relevant though. I think alot of people wanted more because they expected this mount to replace griffon which it was never meant to. I agree that the downward speed could use a small buff though, or allow us to dismount mid air or something. I only really feel this way when doing the meta in Dragonfall though.

As a few others have said, I'd REALLY love to see the branded mounts pack come back. I missed them the first time and they are glorious!
