  1. Okay, with the upcoming changes this is a build I am thinking about. First off, my roll in the zerg: sneakiness, Veil, Portal, and G well is why I am in the zerg. With the changes coming in the next patch I am thinking that I can run condi build and help some with the pressure. Right now I am running a power build, and it is everything that a power build mes in a zerg is... I don't think that this will be even close to a meta build but the needs of the zerg sometimes calls for a sacrifice and someone being put in chrono jail.By the way, the one trait that is a must is Prismatic Understanding and this is a reason for wanting to build condi. Below is a link to the build (hopefully) I am looking for idea on armor and other traits. http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PiBBs6x/lZwSYOsFWJeSX/tXA-zRRYkRFH4bku+Oj0VVhIV94A-e
  2. Rev did get nerfed, they are no longer gods in wvw they are just good. All hard CC lost any of their damage mods and their number 2 hammer skill got taken out of god tier. But there is nothing wrong nor bad about Revs now. That same nerf also hit the mesmer too.I still play my chrono in wvw, not because it is good, but because sometimes you need a veil or portal. At this point, I don't even get put into boon share sub squads in a pug zerg because the fact is it is pointless for me to take up any spot that could be used for any other class, and let them get the boons and healing.
  3. I run chrono in wvw, just so the guild can have portal and gwell. If you don't want to do those play something else. About once a month I will see a new player try playing a chrono in wvw in our zerg. I see them once and then never again. Most major still have one person stuck in chrono jail, just for those two things.
  4. Rev has better Alacrity now.
  5. I play a chrono in wvw, for our guild runs. In zerg fights you will not be able to shatter. G well is great if you can land it, and you have people to nuke the targets. But mostly a chrono's job is going to be hiding in some dusty corner of and portaling in a zerg and using alacrity to reset your portal faster. Everything you might want to do with a chrono there is a class that does it better now.Mirages are still okay at roaming, but they did get a really hard nerf a while back.Core mesmer is meh. Again it does not do anything that some other class doesn't do better. The biggest problem for all mesmer types is they rely on clones and in fights of 20+ clones will die before you can hit your shatter. Now you don't mind hanging out in a keep for 15 minutes or so playing hide and seek with warclaws, portaling in your zerg can be very rewarding. It will normally take two portals to get everyone in though. The downside to this is that if you hide and your zerg caps the keep you don't get anything for it.
  6. Anet seems to think for WvW that one chrono per server is enough. Right now the only time you will see a Chrono is for portals, Gwells, and Veil. Some people like to Tag with a chrono because in wvw you have no f skills to worry about while fighting in a zerg and you can veil your zerg with better timing. The good news is they are not getting nerfed every patch now because no one plays them.
  7. Why are there still spots on keeps where you can attack both outer and inner walls etc from one point outside the keeps?
  8. Ran Scrapper a lot since the change but pugs keep dropping water fields on my smoke fields ruining the stealth stacks and many times there is not enough time to set it up before charging in, whereas mass invis needs no setup. Your right about the runes though, this is an older setup that I have not changed since the killing of the chrono.
  9. Okay, since the death of the boon share chrono, I have tried multiple builds none have been that great. Let me state a few things first, the server I play on is a Pug sever and even the wvw guilds are mostly pugs and we are not normally on comms. With typemanners and pugs that do not follow directions very well, it makes some tactics well impossible. But, being in a WvW guild and pretty only playing wvw in gw2 I would like some help building a better zerg mesmer. Normal size zerg is 20 to 30 that we run in. People in the guild try to run support knowing that the pugs following us will have to be the real dps. Okay now for the build I am running right now.Chaos 1/3/2Inspiration 2/2/2Chrono 1/2/2 (I don't use improved Alacrity because everything I do some Renegade will overwrite it.)Staff and Sword/focus Full Minstrels with water runes.Mantra of Recovery, Mantra of Resolve, Mantra of Concentration, Well of Recall, and Mas Invisibility Again this is a zerg support build, so please keep that in mind before you start bashing me on not running a ganking build. The reason I use the mantras is to cleanse and stab with minor healing (really terrible by the way)Well of Recall, I use a lot. Useful on the siege and also chilling zergs.Mass Invisibility is one of the main skills I use in a push and here is the reason. Veil traited is 3 seconds not bad, but without voice comms timing becomes a problem, so I only slot it when I know for sure we will need it. Whereas traited mass invisibility is 9 seconds and it more forgiving.I use the focus for pulls, although I really like the shield for open field fights. So can anyone give me suggestions on who to make a Toolbox better? Again we need a Mesmer for the toolbox: invisibility, pulls, portals, and alacrity on the siege engines.
  10. Something I have not seen on here and I think might be a okay idea is. Why not have the guilds bid gold to be part of an alliance every week and cap the numbers that can join. So say like if Guild A joins Alliance (wvw server) "A" and they have 450 players then only a guild with 50 or less players can join them. Also make it first come first sever. As for the pugs have them be filler for the servers. So at the start of each week if a play is wearing their tag they must join the server that their guild joined. If a pug player goes in and their guild did not sign up they are put in as filler into the servers that need players. Make the cost of joining something like 10 gold so it is not out of the means of the guilds but will act as a money sink and make it where the guilds need to plan.More of a break down.Guild A pays 10 gold to join Alliance A and has 450 players.Guild B also pays 10 gold and joins Alliance A and has 50 players. So they now make up Alliance AGuild C through F only have 50 players each and join Alliance B putting them at 400 players but the remaining 100 players are filled in with pugs.Like wise for Alliance C.So more than likely you are going to still have tiering where are you have the better wvw wrecking face, but it will mean that the guilds might have to spread out some over the other alliances. And you might end up with some of the Alliances being made of pugs. Also if you win the week either wave the gold fee or let the guilds have first pick of servers for the week (till capped) .
