  1. YAY! A Halloween treat indeed! 🎃 Even though we would've appreciated more communication about this earlier, we definitely appreciate the fix all the same. And just in time for labyrinth farming too! Let's go, mesmer gang!
  2. Well we’ve got our Halloween update tomorrow. So us mesmers are all going to be getting either a treat 🎃 …or a trick 💀
  3. I won’t forget about it… It’s an important part of my play style and a big part of what makes staff mirage so fun for myself and my party.
  4. I really really hope that this is indeed a bug and will be addressed and fixed by Anet soon. So much of my mirage’s play-style is dependent on Chaos Vortex and it’s boons, not only for its supportive applications, but for it’s self-support as well! PLEASE fix this Anet! It would be greatly appreciated by us mesmers!
  5. This is exactly what I thought, word for word. I knew mounts were going to be monetized, and I was pretty much fine with it at the time because I figured they'd offer them the same way they do gliders. However, once I read the whole description of this Black Lion Stables thing and the method being used with adoption tickets, any sort of excitement about mount skins completely turned to disappointment. :/ I can't think of a worse way to offer new mount skins to players than yet another loot box style RNG form of nonsense. And trying to get people to panic-purchase the bundle by offering it for the "low low price" of $120 for only one week? No thanks. Let's not forget, though, that there is a mount that you can buy individually: the Reforged Warhound. The catch for being able to buy this one direct? Two... THOUSAND... gems. :# Ouch, I don't think we've ever even had a stand alone glider priced that high. I'm not gonna get into debating whether or not the adoption tickets are considered gambling because I think that's beside the point. The questions we should be asking is: Is this acceptable practice? Have they gone too far? Where do we draw the line in all this? And perhaps most importantly, what can be done to fix this and avoid future widespread backlash of this degree?
  6. The Halloween mount package was just a test. Anet is now going straight for the wallets with this RNG loot box style Black Lion Stable thing. Guess I see now why default mounts only have one dye channel. If you want any sort of creative freedom, get ready to break out that wallet. I know Anet has always had RNG stuff with their BL chests, but seriously the whole concept of loot box gambling in games these days has gotten so far out of hand... did we really need another channel for gambling in this game? Not to mention the obscene price tags for mounts that DO happen to be sold individually. 2000 gems for the warforged mount? Really? I know WoW has crazy prices on their mounts but I didn't think Anet would follow suit. It's weird, I'm both surprised and not surprised at this turn of events. The minute mounts were introduced, it was really cool (and still is, don't get me wrong), and I knew there would be some serious gem store marketing for mount skins. What surprises me though, is the method they actually went through with. I was not expecting a mount casino with crazy prices to gamble for mounts. Feels really gross, Anet. Sorry, but it really does. :'(
  7. I am very much in agreement with the OP, and ProtoMarcus drives the point home. I love hyenas, and it makes me sad that the one my asura ranger cares for... doesn't look cared for. Like... at all. If the old Hyena model can't be updated, it would be a nice alternative to be able to charm the new hyenas. They're just too awesome to ignore!
