Con confirm. Once you get G3+, plat, it's fairly common to see around 2 power rangers per team. It's just that effective, especially when they've been playing it longer than all the rest on the FOTM train.

OP is still right - conquest has become awful. Been doing pvp since it came out and every match I wish I didn't do it - but this is also why I keep playing because it's addicting getting the win. So if that's not how you feel, gotta move on bro - like I said, this game mode hasn't changed in a decade and only gotten significantly worse. Only play because you want to, to have fun. Note: this isn't an excuse of the poor quality and management (lack thereof) of this game mode from anet.

Can attest. Untamed is extremely versatile and powerful but it took me lots of matches to get it up to speed. There are variations to untamed - tankier option or DPS variant (you can find on that one on metabattle). DPS soulbeast still has its place though, but definitely not as "complete" as a well played vindicator.

Hard no on this. You'd see our already dwindling population cut in half - no reward for their effort when they get steamrolled due to the already wonky matchmaking system? They won't ever come back.

I just completed the achievement last week. Exactly like others have said, double check you have the prerequisites to actually collect the rare slab as the achievement tip doesn't necessarily help. It took me about 10 minutes to land a drop.

Just as good in 2020. For PvE, I can open up the LFG and see squads or groups for almost any map, with fairly good population levels throughout. I normally do fracts and strikes, and it's easy to get a group going. Lots of new things that have come out to put some spin on your usual builds. PvP... well... that can be knocked off the board. That just hasn't gotten any reliable changes that hasn't made it worse.

Sounds like you need a scrapper in your life. Power scrapper (hammer) - decent HP, high defense, traited for critical damage, is able to perform excellent in all areas (strike missions, pvp, open world is e.z., etc.), tough story instances, and fractals. Easily able to back off due to blocking mechanisms, barriers, and about every boon with alchemy tonics. There is little rotation to memorize, but being engineer there is moderate challenge dependent on how much you scale your skills/abilities. You also can take secondary weapons such as the flamethrow or elite cannon and camp it (which provides good damage). Let me know if you want the build I run.

Why didn't you just wait 4 seconds? Do you also burst into a block and then complain how much trash the game is? Bronze division issues. Btw.: I doubt you did 20k dps in pvp. Definition of "Tanky": I take a glass 1-shot build into PvP and then wonder why my opponents always dodge my burst and then counter my face off! definition of tanky, I take 3 dps traitlines, enemy facetanks every single ability in my kit and still lives. I'm not saying tanky builds don't exist. But the "20k dps vs. a daredevil" thing pretty much tells you all you need to know about this particular case. ofc, even holo wont dish out 20k dps in pvp, with quickness at best maybe 8k.Im just salty cuz bronze necro could facetank my glass canon mesmer for 1minute by standing still and passively gaining shroud lol Necro is essentially playing a turn based version of GW2.Essentially. You don't need to dodge. I play core necro build in pvp. Dodging is more of a hastle really. Same on my reaper tank build.

I've seen necro and guardians as bots. Like someone else said above, any class can.

Have you played theif? Try it. You NEED SB to maximize mobility. There is certain offsets you live with as theif; you make up for it with SB.

Is there a better way to report bots? I have to go through the support section in the menu and select some off-set "section." It's a bit frustrating being on a team that is primarily made of bots. And yes, I see the constant threads. I just want a better option on reporting them. Will that work? Realistically, nothing has for them.

But there is also an obvious lack of development to updates that are frustrating a lot of players - just have a look at the PvP forums. It's filled to the brim. I'm asking because i'm fully aware the base of the game's players are not into pvp - much of GW2 success comes from other modes - so it's easy to neglect the PvP player base. But, like most things, you're usually remembered for your failures rather than your success, and atm, PvP has been a big flop. The amount of bots, just to name a single concern we've identified, is really apparent compared to the percentage of active players (getting back to the OP's point). But if you're a raid/fractal/PvE guy/gal, you would never see this.
