  1. Ronin, you're livesaver. Thank you. I would be highly interested in seeing how you break past the walls too.
  2. I was looking at getting the new guild hall when I heard rumors that it had a smaller decoration limit than the 2000 that the previous guild halls had. I was curious if anyone who had it already found this to be true, or if this was a bug those players might have been experiencing. Considering it costs the same 100g as the other halls, has less space than the HoT Halls, less buildings than the PoF hall, if this were true I would instead prefer to capture one of those. I had checked several videos and the wiki, looking for this information but https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Decoration is the only place where decoration limit is mentioned that I could find. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Isle_of_Reflection makes no mention of it.
  3. I greatly dislike how they've chosen to handle the dyes and am amused by the title mix up.
  4. Character’s in-game name: Caolan Character’s gender/pronouns: He/Him Character’s species: Sylvari Briefly describe their physical appearance if it differs from their character model: Any large area glow on the armor is meant to be a more muted bioluminescent glow, not floating around the character 5 feet out. Hidden by his grown clothing are a number of floral themed carvings. Is there any place a stranger might have seen them before in passing? In order of time spent: Caledon (mostly around Mabon Market), Brisban Wildlands, Mount Maelstrom, The Grove, Divinity's Reach, Lion's Arch, Bloodtide Coast, Wayfarer Foothills, and more recently Grothmar Valley. Any where else was only in passing. Is there any gossip a stranger might have heard about them, whether true or false? 2 truths and a lie He's a mender who had several clinics around sylvari lands, but has closed up shop and been more reclusive since Mordremoth's awakening. He loves spending time in the Grove, especially down in the bamboo garden though others often wander through and disturb his meditations there. Known to treat any sylvari, even if they were openly Nightmare, so long as they respected the rules of his clinic while inside the walls. Additional info: Caolan is a Nightmare courtier, though he goes through great pains to hide it. With that comes paranoia, and secret bases hidden around that he affectionately calls vacation homes. The man is welcoming and helpful, if another sylvari has a problem, he either has the solution or knows someone who does. If someone of the other races has a problem, that sounds terrible and he hopes they can resolve it quickly. If they have something useful to him, he is every bit as warm and welcoming to them as he is to those of his own species. How he's looked through the years, from recently awoken to now:
  5. I'm going to deviate wildly from the in depth conversation going on in the rest of this thread to instead say: I think chain mail bikinis are boring, but I would not mind seeing some more revealing armor, if this meant we could get something like the Scar Pattern Armor from the original Guild Wars. I personally thought it looked cool on both male and female characters, especially to use for mix and matching armor pieces. I think these would would let some people have their bikini look, while also adding more variety to the options that we already. The monks' various tattoo armors could also be nice to have as well, since I know a lot of people would like tattoos on non-norn characters. The one issue I see there being with these is how to make it work on charr. I was hoping it could work the way the gw2 tribal set does and it could simply look like paints on them.
  6. I will not be buying any mount skins from the rng stables, as this system is not one I wish to support. It is a shame, I had looked forward to purchasing more skins and had bought the halloween skins pack the day the set came out. Even with the Halloween skins costing $20, which many felt was rather high, I personally would rather pay more money for a set I know I want rather than spend $5 on a random skin. If they are going to keep this idea of a stable, letting the buyer pick from it rather than it being random is what I would prefer. However, if some level of rng is absolutely required, then even breaking up the stables into smaller sections would be better. Each set could be a stable and they can each have a theme, so when you buy a skin you at least know you're getting one from that theme. If none of these are acceptable, then treating the mount skins like the gemstore dyes might be a workable alternative. If they could be sold on the trading post, then it would allow for those who detest rng to simply buy them there. I have turned USD to gems to gold for the specific purpose of buying dyes off the trading post rather than dealing with the rng and so arenanet can still make money off of them this way.
