  1. A pw thief wasted 40 seconds of your time before you spent your time whining and crying about how op it is and don't spend enough time figuring out how to kill a pw thief. By this season every one has figured it out. That's why there's much less pw thief around What can be done? Let me break it down for you since you have problems figuring it out and cry open. You let pw thief spam. His animation will end. There is a timing. U then cc and burst and it's game over. I literally 1v2. 2pw thieves on a thief then a ranger the other day on the same day. They will jump in press 3 and 3. U wait till animation ends burst. If u miss they can only spam so many times. And every few seconds u get to cc or burst again. I ended fights with pw thief in less than 20 seconds on mutiple classes. Either they will just leave or they die. If you are playing mirage which sounds like you might be because your wrote conditions. You have no chance. You have no chance against any thief. Ecto just > mesmer and you should play something else. In the same way thief has hard counters. Stop crying op since you didn't L2P. This new patch wont change much. Just means you will get destroyed slower but you will still get destroyed. Pw will do less dmg but u will not learn to time your skills to win. U will still die then come back and complain pw. I guarantee it.

Keep me in gold 3 now sure ok. but stop throwing me these people that are silver in g3. I know they are silver because you can see their badge in the lobby. its just riduclious.
  3. I've always supported the system but this season feels impossible. In all my previous post no matter how much people complained I always thought it was fair, it is not anymore. This is not just witnessing my own games but friends who are on the opposing team. I went into a game facing my friend and his team was basically all silvers. and we won 500-0... this guy is 1530 right now. its literally not fair. I am not the best player but have always been able to reach plat 1 easily for most seasons. This season, it feels like any time i get any where close back to plat I get all silvers on my team to ensure the I loose as many games as I have just won. literally. it has this habit of putting 1 -2 gold 3. then 2 silvers. or 1 plat 2 golds n all silvers. The silvers then proceed to go and get killed over n over n over and there is nothing you can do about it, you have to sit next to them all game to make sure he's not dead instantly or u need to farm the silvers fast than the 1 plat guy on the other team This is just unplayable. I am tired of losing 17-25 points every game I lose and going fucking 7-10 when I win. its goddamn gold 3 I am not in p1 yet. how is this remotely fair. On top of that. I witnessed the strangest game. 2 prince of the arenas went on my game, against another 2 prince of the arenas, the 2 on the other team were firebrand. the 2 on my team instantly changed to mirage and proceeded to die over n over. I have fasted these guys on their main, they are very high ranked. there is no way no I can kill 1 of the other team and hold node and these guys can't. the game ended 500-30 or something I made the only 2 kills with all stats and fighting out numbered. something is completely off that game. I don't want to go to win trade right away but that doesn't make any sense by 2 prince of the arenas could die so many times on a class they must know will lose to fb. granted, my friends who are still in plat played very little games. I was also placed pretty highly in placements, but decided to just play a lot cos i want to. it seems like once you try different classes and dip the system keeps you there by throwing you games you cannot possibly win. either that or the population is just so low that it puts who ever is on the map in your game. making these super tilted games. end of rant. I get it I am a noob. I need to l2p. git gud. yes yes I do. except every other season I managed to make it to at least 1530. I have never seen any of these straight up die over and over people in my games b4, literally just die instantly and repeat. I rather wait for a longer game then have this kind of shit. its just not fun.

  5. Sure if you have also have lowest base HP, it roots you and your expected to be a decap bot :tongue: If there is no risk to using the skill, it doesn't matter if you have 2 HP. Get that weak excuse outa hereYou are just a bad warrior if u lose to pw thief. Warrior can kill thief in 2 hits. That's why evade is necessary. Takes mutiple hits for thief to even come close to killing a warrior. You don't seem to understand there is a start and end animation. To where u can stun n hundred blades a thief. For the record I main both thief and warrior. Been to plat on both classes. Go L2P. Take your salt else where.
  6. entire InI design means that it doesnt matter how bad some of the skills are, they just dont get used then.build is weighted by the strongest ability.thats why PW is spammed, thats why flanking is spammed thats why vault is spammed thats why SB 5 is spammed.Thats why thief will always be kitten to balanced.In theory every single thief ability should be kitten, but they should cover specific cases, meaning you can exploit specific things out of enemies, but in reality there is nothing that can exploit evade/invuln spam so there are build that just spam 1 ability and call it a day. As to why thief builds are used now more then before?Swipe buff.Stolen skills buff.Mesmer nerfs.Warrior nerf.Holo nerfs.Rev nerf.thief depends on meta, since its the most mobile class of all. Stop making shit up. Swipe is not a buff it's a nerf. 1200 range is far more valuable than unblockanle because we already have boon removal for ageis. Steal was what made dp so good for backstab. That's why sindrender is now doing core dp because the tiny steal range makes it hard to backstab, amongst other dumb needs like blinding powder. Stolen skills were not buffed. Where the fuck did you find that? Ecto was nerfed that was the only change to stolen skills. No comment on other stuff. But your blind hate on thief really makes you make shit up. It's obvious you played zero thief the. Complain about it.

That hasn't been true since HoT really.Considering the games overall lifetime, condition damage has shifted to a more burst oriented playstyle a long time ago.So the argument that Condi dmg should be this slowly ramping, incremental damage over time style is long outdated.You must have missed the huge balance patch a year ago or so, where pretty much every condi skill in the game was changed to apply less stacks but for a longer duration to achieve exactly that "slowly ramping" effect.So if a condi build can burst, then this is not intended (anet made clear how they want the condi playstyle to look like) and deserves a change or even nerf. Condi's "burst" in the same way power does: not avoiding a lot of attacks in a small time frame or big damage skills in a chain. Just because its a different damage type doesn't somehow negate the fact you are failing to avoid damage. For some reason people feel they should be punished less because its condition damage and "DaMaGe OvEr TiMe ShOuLd bE sLoW". You still need to avoid attacks and strong damage combos else you will die at an ever increasing rate...this should and will always be a thing. There seems to be some double standard between taking e.g. 15k power damage in 0~2s vs taking 15k condi damage in 3~6s. Just like mortrialus said: Besides conditions in general are not a problem its specific builds that are. While I agree that taking a direct hit should be no different. I disagree with the ease of application. Power attacks from direct damage have large cool downs, a warrior can arch slice and hundred blades within a time frame. Outside of that a warrior cannot damage you. With alot of condi classes. You can avoid the massive burst but the slow ticks can then also kill you. And attacks from condition damage somehow don't? You make it sound like minor conditions from things like weak skills or auto attacks can kill you but the same for power damage can't. You can avoid burst but still die to the followup skills and auto attacks, this isn't exclusive to one or the other type of damage. You are't passively being killed by something you are , in one for or another failing to avoid an attack. Some aspects of certain builds, power or condi, are over tuned, but condi in general is not when compared relatively. Regardless of this everything still needs to be toned down. I still maintain the notion a lot of people don't like fighting conditions and don't know how to because the death log doesn't give you enough information. Power skills show [You got hit by this skill for X] where as condi is [You died to condi but I'm not going to tell you which skills did all the condi]. Its why all the complaints about condi are over arching where as for power they are targeted. You can also auto attack in condi. The point is. Is that it is over tuned. You can avoid by correct positioning. You can't avoid aoe in an entire circle you get hurt just being stand next to it..
  8. Title says it. I am honestly sick of this shit. Game can be even. Then 1 dude just sits at home and afk. Or 1st fight lost then just afk. Literally wasted hours of game play because some prick just afk. If more than 4 players report the same guy. That guy needs to be banned for a week to not ruin other people's play time. Time is precious for people who work and assholes who afk need to get punished.

(I am ok with how mesmer currently is,this is for reference) For example you can evade a mesmer (the old build), pistol 4 and 5. You are safe right? You are not. It's clones will passively tick your hp and you will have to leave over time. Is there smart play involved? You dodged his skills right? An ele will evade, invur while lava skin . Ok you moved away from it. Now it's your time to burst. Nope, there are several other skills it can casl, stance, flame uprising etc. You dodge those too. You dodged those too. Time to burst. Oh wait it's now in water attunement. Heal heal healed evade, earth stance. Now it's back to fire and again you can't stand next to it. I d go through FB but I don't think I should have to. The point is. You can dodge it's major burst and not die. But it's passive states such as symbols, flame auras etc etc. Will still get you no matter what you do. And over time you have to leave. Your window to kill is extremely small and you have to hit excatly on point to kill it. But does he need to do that to you? No. No they don't. If it is excatly as you say. A you hit me you do same dmg whether condi or physical. Sure thing. But in reality it is not. It's you miss your attack but u can still hit me with small ones just by being next to me. That's ridiculous. They need to nerf ele and fb's ability to passively kill you while retaining it's burst. Or give it no burst but passive ability to kill you. It can't both kill you with burst while also doing passive damage by just being next to you. Unless you also give power the passive ability to cast symbols, clones, auras that can damage you.
  10. if thief uses quickness and spams pistol whip you can't cast a single skill that's not instant or a stunbreak before you are dead. That's pretty much perma cc. Except it's not. Go play pw against higher lvl players. You will just hit thin air then die. There is a cast time and an end time to pw. Good players will dodge your cast. Wait for ow animation, cc then kill you. The evade isn't perma or is the stun. L2p issue.
  11. Lol "abused" teleports are used to get to and get away from players. Looks like this happened. This is just a l2p issue. If your class doesn't happen to have it. It means your class probably kills that class in 1-2 hits. That's why the other class has ports. Just l2p. Or play your op class then realize it's not so op.
  12. 8-10k hits every 3.5 seconds ????? Please, link me which ranger builds you're fighting against that are both incredibly survivable and have enough damage to 2 tap people in 7 seconds. Dude, I know very well how survivable and how much damage ranger can dish out. YOU schooled me in game some time ago on how best to play it. Ranger has great survivability as long as you use your active defenses correctly, you can't face tank like a warrior obviously. When you have a constant 25 might stacks though you can dish out some pretty mean damage even if you don't build full glass. Idk why you're acting like 8-10k on maul is a lot, that's just normal. This is literally bullshit lol. Nothing about what you wrote is correct. No build can be tank and dish out the damage you list. Seriously. Quit your bs.
  13. The key to dealing with this that Rangers don't want you to know about, is that Maul/Wi are garbage with no quickness buff. This is one of the reasons why Rangers struggle in melee range against: Spellbreaker "lots of sudden boon removes" - All Mesmers if they are wise enough to use their boon removes when Ranger goes in close - Reapers who are wise in using their boon removes - And Thieves who are traited for boon removal. If you have boon removes/converts, wait to use them for when the Ranger goes in close and pops quickness. Maul/Wi then becomes ridiculously easy to avoid due to slow animations. Furthermore, slow condition just absolutely neutralizes Ranger in close for the same reasons. I don't think you're correct here. Sure, stealth or quickness makes maul way more dangerous but even without it the rate out which they can output such a high damage skill (that gives them a damage buff too no less) it is just too high. Imagine if warrior could just pop eviscerate on you every 3.5 seconds. It's highly telegraphed and rather slow but it wouldn't matter as they could just spam it between abilities more than you have defensive abilities/dodge rolls. It makes it even more troublesome when you have a AI nipping at your heels that could randomly CC you at any moment. Maul can give too much value for what little risk (low cd) you have for using it. Besides, they only really need to pressure you long enough in GS until they can just swap back to bow and kite, waiting for the next stealth/stun + maul/wi combo (which follows up a bow burst as you mentioned so you'll be down on resources).How is maul low risk? Haven't a high resfresh rate isn't the risk. That makes zero sense. The risk is the slow animation allows you to cc and smash the ranger. As warrior. As soon as u see maul, cc, bulls charge 100 blades gg. Seriously. A slow animated attack with no quickness. That's all you if you get hit. From what it sounds like you wasn't want a ranger to use a skill once. Then if u dodge he does nothing but stand there and you win. That's literally ridiculous. Go player ranger n l2p. See how many slow mauls you can land above gold.

  15. I want core mesmer to be nerfed. But not in the way people think. I think the 1 shot the dmg and stealth can stay. Since that it is pretty glass and you can die. There are also reveals. What I would like is mirror blade to have some sort of animation, light or sound, 1 second prior to the jump. So I have time to dodge. Mirage used to be totally fine because you can see it time to time. So you can look at the moment and think. Oh shit mesmer is on map and you can see it puff in a distance. With the massive amount of stealth core has. It can stealth half way across the map and blink next to you and there's nothing you can do about it because you can't see or hear. Thats just plain stuipd.
