  1. I get the idea, but I find the choice of characters really weird. I never really cared much about Blish, but I can see why others do and how his death could have effected the Commander since they were directly effected by it. But like Cinder? Really? And if you choose Vlast the Commander talks about "Barely knowing him" as if they'd actually had some kind of interaction outside of him immediately sacrificing himself, they never knew him at all. It's so strange to me considering there were perfect candidates for it right there at the end of the last story. If we're struggling to deal with the deaths of Traherne, Almorra, Eir and our mentor why not go around and start dealing with that trauma rather than characters we barely or just straight up didn't know. It would at least lend some level of closure to the final fight.
  2. No, I prefer not to use add-ons for exactly this reason
  3. Ever since the new patch I am unable to play the game, it constantly crashes with no specific reason that I can tell First i thought it might have been related to tabbing out of the game, but then it started happening when I wasn't leaving the game. The last couple of times it has happened immediately after loading in, simply because I moved my character a step forward. It's not just in Divinity's Reach, this has been happening to characters in non-cities too
  4. Yeah, not working for me either, definitely captured more than 5 objectives and nothing I did participate before the patch
  5. Unfortunately I believe the codes expired at the end of September
  6. The addition of the sparring partner felt rather low effort to be honest, the same conversation copy pasted between all of them regardless of their own personalities. No showboating from Maverick, no dim comments from poor old Dinky The journal entries were a nice touch, especially since we had nothing when they were first added as Keepers (even though they just make Luccia's dedication to the Dominion even more unbelievable), but they still don't explain why my Charr Commander just killed their own 'Bandmate for a handful of greens and didn't even bat an eye. If the plot is going to drive home just how strongly Charr feel for their Warbands I'd like to see my own character act in the same way
  7. I'm a Charr main and for the longest time I've been hoping for our character to be able to have new interactions with their old Warband as part of the plot. So it did feel like somewhat of a gut punch when three of them turned up in No Quarter as mere loot pinatas that the player character doesn't even acknowledge. It's been drilled home pretty hard in the story that to a Charr their Warband is one of the most important things in the world, and yet the story really hasn't paid any attention to the player Charr and their connection to their own. With the current break in the plot, and the mention of possibly returning to some LWS1 styles of storytelling, could we please just have a scene where we're able to catch up and mourn the loss of one of our own? I'm not asking for some fully voiced cutscene, it could easily work as a Charr-specific section of a more general scene, say for example a potential memorial to Smodur back in the Black Citadel. I appreciate that it's hard to account for every single option that can be picked for the personal story but it would at least lend a sense of closure if they were to simply appear at all in some capacity.
  8. The very first thing Jormag did this Saga was puppeteer the corpse of Almorra Soulkeeper to lure the Commander into a Svanir trap at Jora's Keep Throughout the plot we've seen them manipulating people to suicide or madness through Drakkar, who was specifically stated as being a relay for the Dragon's will, meaning everything he did Jormag specifically wanted. This included trying to turn two of our close allies against us by getting into their heads and twisting their fears against us They've been holding the lesser spirits of the wild in tortured imprisonment for decades in order to feed off of their magic They also directly thanked Bangar for sacrificing his own race to build them an army, which it now seems is the only reason they were using him as a pawn in the first place I appreciate there's an argument to be made that a being as ancient as Jormag might have a different view on morality than us mortals and maybe it could be said that they're looking at a bigger picture. However the only times we've ever heard that maybe Jormag might be alright was when the Dragon themself was talking to us through our mind, a power that they've also used on multiple occasions to try and subliminally convince us that our teammates are against us and that it'd be better if we just lay down and gave in It feels to me less like Jormag spared the Commander because they didn't want to kill them and more because we have a greater part yet to play in their plans
  9. I'm still kinda expecting there to be an underwater combat overhaul for expac three Could be we get some new underwater legendaries
  10. I doubt they'll kill Rhyland, I'm predicting that he's gonna become Khan Ur. There'll be some big turning point where Bangar shows his true colours and fractures his renegade group leaving Rhyland to step in and unite everyone. Or something like that It's possible this'll involve the death of Rytlock, just to drive it home. I don't expect him to survive this Saga
  11. So Almorra kinda went out like a chump I'd been expecting her to die for a while now and, especially with the most recent trailer, I'd guessed it was going to be happening this patch. Now I get the idea that her not going out in a blaze of glory and instead dying alone is meant to be part of the tragedy, and I respect that, but she could at least have gone out with a shred of dignity. Show that she put up a fight, that she was defiant until the very end, even have her die to protect her soldiers. Instead she apparently just curled up in a cave and gave up, then someone came along and piled some rocks on her. It's a limp end to such an important character in Tyria's recent history The rest of the cast don't seem too phased by it either, mostly giving a vibe of "Well that sucks" before moving back to whatever they'd been arguing about before. The only person who seemed to really care was Jhavi, the character we've only just met, who has some nice dialogue lamenting the fact that Almorra was the only one who saw her for herself and not her ancestry
  12. Braham: Sounds like a bunch of trivial human matters I don't care about. It resonated with me
  13. I haven't seen this topic brought up in any threads yet, so I figured I'd say something. But where's the closure for Almorra? She's one of my favorite side characters so I was happy to see she'd survived the battle from last episode to have one last stab at Kralk. As soon as I loaded into the airship in the prologue the first thing I did was go looking for her to hear how she felt after finally accomplishing her goal after so many years, but she wasn't anywhere on board. This was strange, I thought. I had honestly been expecting her to perform a heroic sacrifice at some point during the story so maybe something had happened during the final boss of the meta event in Dragonfall? Yet after completing a run I couldn't find her there either. Am I missing something? I get that there were a lot of characters to keep track of this season but if anyone deserves some closure with the death of Kralk it's the character who's been gunning for him since we first met her in Vanilla. I'd argue that she deserved it more that Zaeim or Zafirah who were really only there out of circumstance more than anything, yet they got their own little finales and she didn't
  14. I have a lot of characters and there are times where I just enjoy hopping on one and running around completing a few maps. I find it relaxing That being said, there are a certain few Hearts that you really come to hate if you run maps a lot. I guess there are things that can be learned from these
  15. Also, depending on how long ago you completed some of the maps some of them may have been updated. I know they added a couple of new Hearts to Plains of Ashford for example, that was a few years back though
