  1. lol, as a Spaniard who played in BB for years, if there is something lacking in BB is south american players. Most of the people you see there is from Spain... ofc thats why there are more people playing at 0-5am european time than in the prime time Exactly, because in Spain offices and shops open at 9-9.30am and don't close until 8pm, and spaniards usually have dinner at 9-10pm. How do you expect them to play during european prime time when they are still working/shopping/hanging out with friends... Weird.. Google says offices and shops having normal 9 to 16 working hours and 40hrs weeks like the rest of Europe. Smells like an excuse for the south american karma train. Lol so you trust more google than a spaniard when it comes to the daily live of spaniards??Good luck trying to find people in Spain finishing work at 4pm... Its the time when afternoon starts xd

  4. You can say that about literally every single trait for Mesmer though. Duration is not important, what is important is that it procs Ineptitude. Ineptitude still provides condition damage. It still can provide condi damage. Which is why it's meta for PvE Condi builds. The fact that alternative utility surpasses the condi damage provided by the spec (Due to nerfs) doesn't negate the fact that the spec still provides condi damage. 75s CD (35s PvE) not 90. Though, the stat boosts are not on a cooldown. No. Illusion is the one spec that provides enough condi damage increase to justify over running other utilities or sources of damage in PvP (I.e. Domination is used for the extra Vuln stacks and Boonrip) Just like happens within Illusions and Mirage specs, where Condi damage traits are passed over for more impactful utilities (I.e. Master of Fragmentation instead of might from Phantasmal Force or lulScepter trait. Elusive Mind instead of Infinite Horizon due to nerfed Ambushes) Not to mention that i said 1 (111111) at max 2 condi dmg traitlines. Means it doesn't even matter if ti is 1 or 2 for my point about mechancial trade offs in traitlines when traiting into elites. Condi builds for Mesmer have no trade off in terms of dmg when going for elites because they in general only have 1 or max 2 traitlines for that on core. Then where are your suggestions to bring condi output on core traitlines instead of making full of counter combo mechanic on elite ? The topic of this thread is to give alternatives to the one dodge nerf not to buff core Mesmer. We try to find solutions to make Condi Ih Mirage playable with 2 dodges without it being a problem in Anets eyes anymore what it obviously was. Anet wants trade offs, Anet wants reduced defensive and offensive power from mc. And that is what i am trying to do and what you need to do if you want any suggestions in this document to even be considered by Anet. Alternatives have been provided by plenty and since the beginning. And yet, anet has never implemented any.The trade-off thing was just an excuse to bring down broken specs without waiting for mechanics to be changed.Main balance issues are mechanic related and not numbers. But guess what, mechanics are developed by game designers for pve mainly.So balance people like CMC are left in a void where they can only tweak things to fix the mess anet left them. I'm saying this because you (and this thread) is doing nothing but beating a dead horse.
  5. Yeeeeeeey Chrono isn't flawed finally!!! Props to them they "only" need one year to realize it... Anyway, thanks to the anet sistematic nerf policy for over 2 years to mesmer, expect to still working twice as much as others to do the same. But hey, at least we can finally slot Chrono in our toons without feeling the game doesn't want us.
  6. Mesmer is a no go for zerging. Just because anet will undo their schizophrenic move to remove IP from Chronos doesn't mean mesmers now have a chance to be relevant in big scale fights.Anet still needs to undo their dumb idea that mesmers are only meant to be veil bots...
  7. I'm sorry that you don't understand what I wrote, but I'm not sure how else to explain it to you. Chrono is arguably one of the two most common professions used by a commander (the other being Firebrand) and a single Chrono in a group of 20 players can shift the tide of a fight. Back in the Pirate Ship days they were still effective and seen, but we're in a melee push meta right now. Do you know what works really well in a melee push meta? StealthPortalsCC pulls / Immobs So by all means, declare that I don't understand mesmer. But unfortunately the one here who doesn't understand mesmer in WvW zerging is you. Can you play a DPS mesmer in a zerg? Sure. You'll do mediocre damage and won't really bring any utility to the group, but as an offensive support, Mesmer/Chrono rivals a Spellbreaker in terms of how it can change the flow and tide of a fight....and you think that makes mesmers 'useless'. Mmk. LOL One of the 2 most chosen professions? I suppose you like wiping in zergs with +15 mesmers, otherwise I don't know where do you see the mesmers in winning groups...Melee push meta is based on support, melee dps and boon strip/corrupts. Mesmer is the worst of all support builds out there, it's the worst all 9 classes at melee dps and has very poor boon strips.Stealth, quite nerfed by all the NPC reveal out there, and completely outclassed by gyro in pushes. Portals, extremely situational and basically gimmicky nowadays, only used now for the sake of it or for sneaking inside keeps by small groups for a PPT that doesn't matter at all.CC is very limited and sits behind high cooldowns.DPS mesmer in zergs is the same as support thief, nice fairy tail you live in...Mesmer is one of the worst classes to bring in a zerg, what you bring is so little that it doesn't end up mattering much if it's game changer. What is a veil when you can stack 4x times with a gyro that has 2/3 of the CD? What is a portal when it's very limited in activation time and damage bombs are not like before? What is a pull or gravity well here or there when you have 10 firebrands spamming pulls, scourges spamming fears and revs spamming knockdowns? All you do by playing a mesmer is fooling yourself thinking you're useful, when your contributions in terms of damage, CC and support are completely overshadowed by pretty much all other classes, even when running non meta builds.Experience from someone who mained mesmer with nearly 4k hours, has played rev for over 600h and now is sitting in OP scrapper with already 200h (mostly because of hammer nerf).

If you start arguing now that you don't want to play condi and you don't want to use these sigils, but you want to play mirage, then let me tell you: I can't play condi reaper, I can't play power core necro. And I don't even need to try to roam on any necro build without rune of speed. Welcome at the level of the rest of the classes with limited viable options. Mirage has been overpowered long enough. Food is for newbies.And yes condi mirage is viable on wvw (roaming), for one reason:people suck in wvw. And the build that's viable is a kitten chore, boring af. Condi mirages can only beat newbies who try to solo roam camps and guards, which is sad.In zerg fights most people play builds based on support and cleanings condis. This means the condis that mirage can inflict only last 2-3 seconds max in the enemy.Unable of dealing damage, wearing squishy cloth, and having 1 dodge, mirage is a mere lootbag compared to a GOD firebrand. are firebrands good roamers?The question should be: Is there any game mode in Gw2 where guardians are not, at least, good?And the answer is: Currently guards are in the top of the food chain of professions in this game. Theyy are so ahead of everybody else they can even enjoy to have the same build idea in core and both elites versions and still outperform other classes with any of them. On top of that, consider it's one of the professions better packed with passive sustain and designed in a simplistic way. Not only it's one of the better performers out there, but also one of the most popular for being so forgiving and casual friendly. Roaming is not an exception.

But considering other damage sources were not touched, bomb scrapper is going to do 75-80% damage compared to before. Add stealth, AoE superspeed and decent condi cleanse.Power scrapper is still too far from being out of dps meta. Just that now bomb version isn't as ridiculously af broken as it was.
  10. I think its kinda rich saying broken cheesy builds while running condi rev. Just saying. I know when a thing it's broken, cheesy or too good enough that simply carries players, holo overheat meme isn't anything different. All you defending it or bringing lame excuses to undermind people's facts it's the ultimate reason why this game it's in current state. And if I have to sit in others classes broken builds is because anet does nothing but to listen to forum warriors and destroy mesmer. Until they bring back 2 dodges to mirage and IP to chrono, so I can play a build that feels I'm actually the one playing the game (and no, I wasn't playing condi mirage or stealth 1-shot GS), this is what people will have to suffer. Currently I'm running condi rev and FT scrapper. First everybody knows it. Second it's even more lame, AA does everything: Top 5 damage and cleanses in squad, in roaming you don't even have to dodge most of the times. All I've left to say is enjoy the game where traits and skills plays for you, you community of GW2 definitely earned it.But please, at least make everyone the favor not to look like a fool when discussing topics: Overheat 1-shot from stealth meme has to disappear, period. PD: I just read one of your recent posts: "Holo is one of my fav classes to play along with war, rev and guard." Of course they are, how dare you to like anything that isn't carrying you with their passives or broken mechanics....

The community doesn't want a glorified pet class oppressing the rest of the playerbase because in the end , the only time when mesmer became popular was when pet specs were viable like core sword phantasm camper - chrono bunker and staff camper IH condi mirage...basically every time mesmer had access to some brainless low effort=huge reward buid. I remember learning that core phantasm build back in the days, signet of illusions was used ...can't remember and the build was all about keeping the phantasm alive , it was dealing 5-6k dmg while you could go tanky...took one day to learn it..then we had chrono bunker...urghhhh...finally condi mirage..god. Oh and blur into stealth into dodge evasive reflect into distortion into stealth into blur again into something else like chaos field...that's not something..."easily outplayed" lol, that's an invulnerability chain not even unblockable go through because we're talking about evasion frames acting as an invulnerability....time to face reality, GW2 mesmer got nothing of the complex class in GW1, the current one is simply a badly designed super duellist with easily abusing mechanics Lol, the so called glorified pet class is nothing but an illusion bigger than Mesmer itself. If there is one glorified pet class that's ranger and if there is a glorified class as a whole then it's guardian. And look, we're in 2020, it's not 2011 when we were discovering gw2 would be a different game.Gw1 didn't have guards or engis, gw2 doesn't have monks or ritualists. I never get what's this fuzz of crying that Mesmer is not being like in gw1, we are in a freaking different game. Core Phantasm... Good joke that it didn't made it past 2012 with the nerfs and once initial meta settle down.Chrono bunker lasted just few months like Chrono Phantasm did. If anything this game needs this, current broken condi rev is about to last more than Chrono broken versions did. The rest is nothing but same rethoric I was explaining, anet gave Mesmer same treatment as others with elites and that's a problem for people...It's a problem that Mesmer has to burn their entire deffensive skill set to survive while others do the same by playing piano weapon skills or sit over their passive trait sustain. Mesmer is doomed to be irrelevant because of a biased mentality like yours. Me or other Mesmer mains don't have any problem, we either move on from this game or sit in anything else that carry us.The only suffering is gw2.
  13. well said while trying to keep it short =) I do remember you Ansau, but why do I have the feeling that I haven't see you here for a while, add for the things you have added it was okay for some classes to be immune to cc, but mirage to break stun with grandmaster trait was too much. Yeah, after chrono butchering I was too annoyed to care anymore about gw2 good end and started to play less. With the lockdown I'm playing again, but sitting on a scrapper and rev instead, mesmer is too depressing even in pve.Checked gw2efficiency time played and holy cow...
  14. As someone who has mained mesmer since gw2 launch, I've realized there is a thing with anet not being comfortable with mesmers staying relevant in big scale fights. At the beggining we had glamour confusion build but it was destroyed like 6 months after game release. Later we had boonshare but it only lasted less than a year until it became subpar. And finally we had minstrel mantra chrono which was also destroyed 1 year after it was born. But beyond that, in the recent years anet has taken a very dull and toxic approach to balance mesmer by adding huge trade offs, and the worst part is it seems anet doesn't has any intention to revert it. Mesmer is doomed to live with trade off mechanics that work against its main ones. Core: Overnerfed core specs because elites "are" too strong.Chrono: No IP in an elite based on shatters.Mirage: 1 dodge in an elite based on dodges.In Vanilla, mesmer was one of the hardest classes to play, with complex damage setups but without any of the passive sustain most other professions had (clone death build was the exception, but an exclusive WvW dueling build has never been relevant for anet or gw2). With HoT and new trait system based on specs, anet finally put mesmer in a similar level as the rest. Suddenly, the community realized mesmer being equal as others was not ok and the doom of mesmer began.Happened with chrono at the beggining (apparently it was ok for druids, scrappers and guards to be unkillable tanks but not chrono), happened with mirage (apparently it was ok for thiefs and weavers to jump and evade through everything but not for mirages), and happened for core power mesmer (it is ok for thieves, soulbeasts and holos to cc+oneshot you from stealth with 2-3 skills but not for mesmers when you burn half of your skill set). This unreasonable drama reaction has led anet to act like they did. They cannot balance mesmer in a sensible way because the community doesn't want a balanced mesmer, they are only fine as long as mesmer is nerfed. Unfortunately, when this trend and behavior extends for years, surprise surprise, that's what we end up with. Once you have experience with several profession you realize how much higher the bar is set for mesmer compared to others. How much you need to chain skills and mechanics to achieve mediocre results, when others is 1 button = 8k AoE damage or speading condis faster than covid. And how your sustain is entirely based on limited evades and the few invuls/blocks that are easily outplayed, when others is let me show you how I spend 20s chaining evades/invuls/blocks or how my sustained healing beats your DPS. My suggestion, forget about mesmer and have fun with anything else.
  15. Easiest fix is to limit retaliation hit every 1s, following mechanics of auras, sigils and so on. Forget about weirdo solutions like limiting range or only applied to melee. The issue is with the unlimited times you can get hit by it.
