  1. I need to revise my opinion here. After playing with it all evening, I'm sad about this change. We really lost something in the flavour of the elite, I think. I'm not too worried about the damage reduction, but we're now less inclined to use our other mitigation skills and the big downer is that the leap cannot really be used as a gap closer as it was before. You kind of already have to be on top of the target to leap and connect with them, because the evasion time has been reduced so much. I'm sorry to say, I'm also in the "revert it" camp. 😞
  2. Feels a lot more fun to me. Like the best of what I like with Staff Daredevil, but with the more interesting complexity of Vindicator. Pretty optimistic so far. After playing it for many hours, I have to revise this opinion. I think it isn't great. We've really lost some flavour for the elite, as you're now more inclined to dodge a lot instead of relying on your toolkit of mitigation. Also, the big one is that the dodge/leap isn't useful as a gap closer, as it used to be, so that's a bit annoying. It's more like jump up and down on the spot to smash whoever you're fighting, instead of leaping around like a ninja. Sucks.
  3. Yes, I'm aware of this "fix" but it's not a good solution for those of us on 4k monitors. Setting a 4k monitor to use full resolution, and 100% scale and layout, means that we can configure GW2 in two possible ways: full resolution with a scaled up interface, or reduced resolution. Either way sucks, and it's not a good situation that I need to re-configure how my whole Windows setup is handled just to get this one game to display properly.
  4. For the love of the Eternal Alchemy, PLEASE put up the Queensdale Academy Wand Set again! Feels like I've been waiting for eons.... 😞 Seemed like an obvious release with the Specter elite.
  5. This is pretty anecdotal, but I've been using it for a month now with no issues at all. Seems very solid.
  6. I am really enjoying Virtuoso, but yeah, I think those floating daggers could be toned down, visually, about 500%. It's kind of cool at first, but after a few days it's like... yeah okay, where is the off switch.
  7. I would highly recommend that you try out the Condi build on Snowcrows. If played properly and geared properly, it does excellent dps and is very tough to kill because of Jagged Mind and bleed synergy. Condition Virtuoso Build | Mesmer Builds | Snow Crows
  8. I'm pretty new to Weaver (and more generally Elementalist). I really love sword/dagger weaver though, and have been running it a while now in open world and fractals. At first I went for the max damage builds on metabattle or snowcrows, but it was pretty squishy, so I've changed to a build with more sustain. At the moment, I'm running Fire (1,1,1) Earth (3,2,3) Weaver (3,2,1). As far as being able to survive goes, this has been a great improvement over the glass cannon builds. I'm really a min/maxer though, and would love to hear other suggestions for a higher damage build which would still have some sustain. For some background, I also heavily played ranger, thief, and warrior. Way back when I started thief in HoT, it was tough to survive as Daredevil, until I realised just how much dodge worked into that particular spec's gameplay. That's a class where you are expected to be constantly mobile. I kind of wonder if there's a major shift in thought that I have to undergo for Weaver in a similar way, that I haven't discovered myself.
  9. Stiiiiiill no fix for this, even after several patches have come and gone. This is particularly annoying because it’s really in our faces every time we log in.
  10. I really try to avoid making negative posts here, but I think it’s pretty epic how long this bug has gone unfixed. I have the Dwayna's Directive buff on some of my alts, back from when I did the skyscale quest collection line right when it was released.I know, it’s low priority I’m sure. But it’s very visible every time I log in, so like a constant reminder that you are slow to fix things.
