  1. Seriously 2023 & this is still an issue... QA needs a hard kick, then shedule the devs for a fix. But wait this is the main story for HOT, and this bug blocks progress - 7 YEARS LATER!!. Come on Anet, is it slacking or absolutely no pride in your product?. Standard operating is to ignore the bugs in this game - Its why its so cheap... Also cheaper to just let the players suffer - replays of this mission (about 2 dozen times) THATS THE FIX!!!!
  2. Yeah what I see in my rev, Heavy armour - completely useless tank, Seriously my light armour ele can tank better. Damage output - hmmm pitiful EVERY other class has it spanked. Group boons hahahahaha. Sustain - Run away!. Variety in weapons and play styles, there is like 3 ways you can play it as most are useless in most situations. The Rev has some fun mechcanics but is all round trash... its just taking up a character spot now, as I'm never gonna play it again. If it didn't have a couple of maxed critical crafting skills, I would have deleted it long ago.
  3. With the release of EOD we expected some bugs & teething problems. But what we go is far worse... So as part of some EOD collections we are directed back to old content & events. Events that have been bugged for like 10+years - So I assume that they would find events that had no problems in the past. NOOOO WAAAAY, says ANET :- Remember Lunt!, we decided that it was necessary to LOCK a collectable behind his event. Yes you remember LUNT, the dude from Wayfarers Foothills. The guy who smokes a cave out. Except those of you's that remember will recall how THIS EVENT HANGS after 1 trigger & then stays bugged until the next server reset. Good luck getting that collectable folks as its STILL BUGGED 12 years into the game. Anets decision to use this unfixed event - beggers belief.
  4. Scaling is aweful - any more than 10 players it is difficult, any more than 20 players & it becomes impossible. Too many hit points & not enough crystals & opportunities to hit the maw. Participating will award the Ready up achievement, if you want the loot - you need to Hit the Maw. Sounds like your crystals didn't hit the mark. But if you are 100% sure that they did, then I do not know what else to tell you friend, because that is really all there is to this event.
  5. During the fight make sure to hit the maw with a crystal. That is target it & face it so that the crystal doesn't just hit one of the mobs as it tends to do if not lined up correctly. This has worked for me, when I had the same problem.
  6. Not sure if this helps. But has helped a few so far. When you have the Crystal make sure you have the Maw targeted & in front of you before throwing it from area. You need to hit the Maw this way at least once during the fight in order to get the Luxon Tools achievement for Turtle. If you don't line the Crystal up this way it will just hit a mob and you will not get credit for hitting Maw.
  7. Yeah I got a bone as reward, no Tools for Turtle. Either this is a RND drop or it is major bugged. Like the scaling bug that already breaks this event. Nothing from ANET, so ignorant sometimes. Soon as I've cleared achievements in EOD - I will NEVER play those maps EVER again. FUSTRATION IS NOT FUN ANET!!!!
  8. Not sure if this helps. But has helped a few so far When you have the Crystal make sure you have the Maw targeted & in front of you before throwing it from area. You need to hit the Maw this way at least once during the fight in order to get the Luxon Tools achievement for Turtle. If you don't line the Crystal up this way it will just hit a mob and you will not get credit for hitting Maw.
  9. Try to get 50 random players of differing skill levels to co-ordinate on difficult meta is next to impossible. This meta will always have a massive fail rate much to the dismay of anyone who just wants it out of they way. This meta will have problems getting fustrated players to commit to it long term & this zone will just die. Add more RAID encounters for the hardcore players, don't try to force casual players into something they won't enjoy. As for everyone else the fustration of failing countless times not due to their skill level but the skills of others is a game killer.
  10. But a good portion of your successful squad would have, with DPS builds/rotations & co-ordination skills that casual player just don't bother with. Without these this ain't getting done...
  11. This is just a waste of time for most. Don't matter how good a player you are, the event will only be successful if everyone is RAID experienced. This meta is definately not for casual players. Which brings in the toxicness, as more and more people become fustrated that not all players can or will perform to the required level for a success. THE MOST REALLY FUSTRATING META EVER!!! without a doubt. And will tarnish the GW community with toxic fustrated rage.
  12. Having been trapped in this instance several times now. I can recreate the bug 100% of the time. In fact I can not get past this. It is simple. Enemy NPC spawns inside tower, you cannot hit him (obstructed) & he heals like you have broken of the fight plus my pets will not or cannot attack them. Tonn blows the tower, Enemy npc is now stuck under the reckage - no way of killing them. So bugged bugged & doubled bugged. I have tried clearing all enemy NPC's before talking to Tonn - only to find that an enemy NPC has now appeared inside the tower (I checked carefully before I spoke to Tonn & they defo weren't there before). This happens EVERYTIME I try to play this mission so I GIVE UP. I cannot believe that the devs cannot recreate this. It is happening to too many players, what are we crazy, do you not believe us? The solution is really obvious - STOP SPAWNING enemy NPC's inside towers, make it so they cannot even track in there, thats what causing the problem. And if Tonn has blown the tower he should move on & not stay there because of one mob that cannot be killed. Someone tell me why this has not been fixed for so long.
