TwiceCookedPorkins.8940's Achievements

  1. Definitely needs a buff. No reason to use it over the +cDmg% buff or bleed stacks at this point.
  2. Forcing jumping puzzles and poorly-designed and implemented reflex games for a holiday event is just not good, especially for anyone with any kind of relevant disability. And it's not fun to not be allowed to earn the yearly achievement, simply because someone isn't good at those things. I'm all for there being JP and Bell Choir achievements for people that want to do them. But please, stop making them essential for the yearly special achievement.
  3. It's been nearly a year since EOD came out. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Replica_Oni_Left_Arm Still bugged. No dye channels. And the model gets glitchy on the Wardrobe screen.
  4. It's self-only quickness. You're not going to see Mechs providing both.
  5. The new Jade Dynamo Core grants you quickness on using Mech skills.
  6. Good ol' GW2 Forums regulars. Asked not to be toxic, so you double down on toxicity.
  7. Not much else to say. At the very least the cutscenes aren't using subtitles. You can read the text in the chat window afterwards, but it's not showing during the cinematics.
  8. Wells absolutely need to use the "Snap Ground Target to Current Target" logic. I looooove the class but it's so frustrating because my hands aren't as agile as they used to be.
  9. I play condi/support builds almost exclusively. Mechanist is amazing to me, but I can definitely see it getting some kind of nerf. Not sure what that'll look like, but I'm betting on it happening. But it's a super strong class and the support side is great. Harbinger is fun, but squishy as kitten. If my Mechanist gets boring, this is my go-to (with a Scourge off-spec). Specter has been... okay. I just don't think the single-target mechanics work in a game like GW2. It feels way too limiting, despite how strong it is. And it is strong. I don't think I've ever beaten champs solo as easily as I have with Specter. But that's a small part of the game and the class suffers a bit elsewhere. Going to try Virtuoso and Catalyst next.
  10. There are too many ways to do this puzzle "wrong". You can get yourself stuck very easily, causing a full restart. DO NOT ATTEMPT WITHOUT KNOWING THE FULL SEQUENCE OR UNTIL IT IS FIXED BY ANET.
  11. It's only ever good if you can guarantee you don't need to move much, which, in an action MMO, seems like a complete contradiction.
  12. These are some builds I've had a lot of success with. Axe/Dagger Spellbreaker: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PKwAcinlFwUYUMMWJOWXeveA-zRJYiRL/h0iQoOJQEKAFPA-e Great for learning the game. Teaches stun-break/condi cleanse use and enemy prediction (using Full Counter). You're also tanky enough to screw up on occasion. Flamethrower Scrapper: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PegAIRlRw6YNMHWJW+S5tfA-zRJYiRF/Jo4B-e Probably the best meta-tagger and farmer of non-champs I know of. If you want to fight champs, drop Flamethrower for Elixir U or C, stick to hammer and use Modified Ammunition and Adaptive Armor. Condi Minion Necro: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PSwAs+jlZwmYVsQ2IWMTfvSA-zRJYmRLfhUQCEZI0RBI8A-e This one won't win any speed-kill competitions, but you'll never die. Use your shades to buff your minions while letting your condis do their job. Herald Revenant: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PmwAweZlpQHMLyhdRNMM6hJSfsCKgp+lerH-zRJYiRHfp0XCERBkcE0cIoyA-e Sword/Sword is better DPS, but I find that Sword/Axe is better for running around in open world. Better on-demand breakbar damage. Mostly you just pop your facets and auto-attack, swapping to Dwarf when you need energy/healing.
  13. I actually prefer S/A to S/S (in open world). I know it's a DPS loss on paper but Axe offhand just feels better to me.
