  1. I would generally favor far more daily options and yeah this also includes a dungeon daily vehemently. 4 out of 5 options are too few. Since it's only a database thing why not offer 4 out of 10 or 12. Shouldn't be hard to implement that. And it doesn't matter for Anet anyways if people are looting 10 enemies in the open world while being brainafk or run Twilight Arbor.
  2. And that's why you also need to take in considerations that you have full CM groups with pugs (meaning from 97 to 99/100), full clear statics - both of which consists of mostly 5k+ UFEs and many other groups that I'm joining for CM97 and/or 98 without UFEs or any other shenanigans where the GG is an absolute must. The first two groups may likely fall into the "non-gg" roster and I couldn't care less but the latter is the important one for me in my runs and if we don't gg it either leads to what Nimris.3781 wrote that people will hold their skills back while fighting the adds and only press 111111 resulting in longer clear time or and that is way more dangerous: Not having their skills, dodges etc. ready for the first part of the fight. Nimris is totally right that in some groups MAMA will knock back all players that don't take care of themselves because your support doesn't have stability ready. I've seen that all and as I said I play power DH and my aegis just before the spin has rescued lots of players so far. You realized that your support comes from a player with "our CM group" where it could make sense to not gg or - because they are a static - they just don't care at all. The problem is you write this into a forum where veterans either already have their plan so they don't need your advice because they know/play/just behave differently or some lesser experienced people will read that and will write in chat: "Don't gg. You don't do this anymore" but they don't realize that this counts for experienced CM groups. I repeat myself: For the average 0 UFE group with an LFG like this: "CM97 - know mechanics" as it's often seen in the lfg and non-meta dps classes a gg after watchknights is the better method because you can throw everything at the knights, gg and then start from the go.
  3. Not true with an average pug in a 0 UFE run. EVERY. FRICKING. DAY. (EU-Server) --> This 0 UFE counts for every further passage in this response! Nope. It would slow my group down if we don't gg. Not in the slightest true. As a DH I don't have my elite skill up when using it before. I see it every day when doing CM97 to get fractal god for the 2nd time on my twink account. No, nope, still not true in an average pug. Really? In almost all pugs I join on a daily routine MAMA isn't even insta cc'ed with cd reset after gg so that I have to use skills that lower my damage. But the cc is more important than losing a bit of my personal damage due to the fact that the cc phase will make the fight simpler and faster. In other words: My group needs that cd reset due to gg. Most 0 UFE pug hfbs don't even use stab so I need to share an aegis at or below 25%. No, because the facts listed above: MAMA won't be cc'ed therefore the group dps is lower and the probability of a mate going down due to boss mechanics is higher. Also, we don't lose 15-20s. The fight starts much faster after gg. Time eaters besides group finding are: Waiting for a player to change to the next fractal in the lobby and all pressing "Go" to advance. So, no. You were proven wrong. And even if you don't admit it I hope you are playing on NA and I will never meet you in my group. But even then: I will gg no matter what. If you want to fight as 4 people then without me. Keep going, Meanwhile I'll wait and grab a drink or some chocolate.
  4. Over they years I ran 6-7 different builds on different classes. Build diversity depends on Anet patching (nerfing or buffing) the classes and gear stats. The +5 infusions have 0.0 impact on builds or changing them. While I have 2 chars fully equipped with 5+ the rest isn't and it hasn't made any difference and won't make any in the future. You can wipe countless of times with players being bad but best in slot gear and succeed with people that even have AR below 150, dying and then you 4 man encounters. Your argumentation is very flawed as was stated before: You claim to have ten thousands of gold and the game being a joke in terms of difficulty yet you complain about those infusions. With that statement no one will take you seriously.
  5. The T1-Only playerbase is somewhat extremely small compared to the regular fractal community which is T4 and CM + T4 in the LFG range 75-100. Nevertheless a decent intelligent person running T1 will recognise that there are differences between fractals from level 1 to 24. And they will understand that they have to face certain situations or scenarios they have to adapt to. I mean, I saw groups going down on ooze in Thaumanova lvl 15 (me included cuz yolo) and then learned a little. Not much but the idea that bad things can happen there. Same with Urban Battlegrounds when dying to The Gate and Dulfy. This is the game. When we started GW2 and were running Arah (dungeon) for the first times we had the worst gear ever for Lupicus (the big dog if ppl dont know anymore) and after phase one everybody was running in circles screaming and hoping not to die while ranging him and hitting him with soft diapers. The thing is if you like the content - here: fractals - you will run them again and you will improve plus you will change your gear making all fights a lot easier at once. Or you just skip it when it is daily and can live with the fact that you left one fractal out this day. On a 15 day schedule it is 2 times in the rotation. So from 45 fractals you leave 2 out. Not a big deal in my opinion. (Source: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Template:Daily_Fractal_Schedule) Your feeling is wrong here. Most of the groups in the lfg are either: aDPS + qHeal + 3 DPS or qDPS + aHeal + 3 DPS. It doesn't matter if your group has ideal DPS. The kill time obviously differs but it's not that those fights are getting very stale or very boring. The most problematic thing on lvl 100 is that players die. If your heal is braindead, smashing buttons and not realizing that he has to stay in the middle to keep the group alive than this is a player issue not a design issue because most of the groups can handle that fight. If (dps) players just do their rotations, not bringing out axes, stepping onto every bigger circle and hugging the boss (the nearest player is getting the aggro and will constantly eat lots of melee dmg) it is also a player issue. If you tune boss hp down that fight will become almost obsolete for the average group. The challenge on this fight is to keep up the mechanics over time but compared to CM even the normal mode is kinda easy. People just need to practice and learn. Both things are seen less and less in gaming overall.
  6. Yeah, of course. Maybe now you have them. Titles like "Leaves no hero behind." (Shattered Observatory) was way harder to achieve in the beginning due to fighting 3 encounters with way less dps and therefore many more different mechanics. Or Samarog CM where you needed proper play of almost all 10 people. Yes, now they are all very easy to achieve but back then...nope. I did 100 CM 3 times with title success. All three times were unintended and 2 of them with randoms. The first one when I got my title also was achieved when the CM was buggy. You don't need players in perfection but you need people who can focus and concentrate. It's not rocket science.
  7. Still, a little adjustments to the rewards could have been made. An ascended chest for armor or a weapon. 4 +7 and 2 +9 infusions and one ascended trinket would have been better for newer players and/or fractal starters. The actual rewards neither are for beginners or veterans, it's just a repetition and as someone said: uninspiring.
  8. In Sunqua there's nearly 0 chance to revive a completely dead player. Even rezzing downed players is hard without losing the control over the fight. That's not the same in Silent Surf. The group can stop doing dps and some players can revive their mate, they only have to care for axe fields while 1-2 players kite the boss/hold aggro.
  9. In case this isn't a troll post: 1. Don't play with action camera mode then. Easy fix. 2. The mechanic assignment is only random if you allow it. DPS players can prepare for phasing and run in front of the phantoms to get the tether. It works really fine. If your groups doesn't know it doesn't matter. Players should be able to handle the phases no matter what. I know so many mediocre players being successful here. It's not rocket science: Run to the edge of the platform Change to skill bar for jumping Aim for the middle of the outer platform right inside of the phantom you have to kill Jump It never fails. Never ever. The phantom on the outer platform is no risk at all. It's a dummy. Don't care about being hit or anything else. Just ignore it. If you have toxic trail just move out after landing. Ez pz. Zerk it down, jump onto the middle of the mushroom. Happy landing in the middle. gg
  10. Well, those "tons of bugs" don't prevent lots of people easily have it in their daily routine for months now. This fractal cm is much easier than 99 and much shorter compared to other cms. If people die in our runs it's almost always due to being feared into death. Haven't had someone blaming a bug in the chat since the fix to get the title and that also was months ago.
  11. If this post is serious I think you should really step away and find your luck elsewhere. If one single fractal is getting you to quit the whole game your zenith with GW2 is over. My, oh my... There are enough groups in lfg that dodge 100 when it is daily so you just run 2 dailies + recs with them and all is fine. Yeah, I think your problem lies deeper. Today 100 was daily and my group was destroying the boss in normal mode. 3-4 downstates but there was never any need to help rezzing. It was a boring breeze and as always easy gold. I repeat myself: If your group is struggling bring regeneration and/or protection and it'll make the final encounter way easier. What to do about them? Just run to the edge of the platform and look outside. You don't even need to walk close to the edge but if players are not familiar with the range they should play it safe and walk more. Even if the boss is on one of the outer platforms it is very easy to avoid his eye. Just look away from him. That even works while standing right next to a phantom with eye. There is always room & safe space to look away. People are jut not clever enough and panic way too hard. In addition to that I barely see CM groups fail (at least in EU) and if one player dies we are almost always able to rez over time or people bring revive orbs with them anyway. As I said this CM is boring and easy once you have mastered it.
  12. - People avoiding even 100 normal mode because they are too stu_id to learn, adapt/adjust to the encounter. I see so many groups using cc on normal mode and nobody can explain to me why they are doing it - a.k.a. not having any clue at all. They cc as if there is no morning because - yeah, they learned that from so many other stuff where it is necessary or gives a (huge) advantage.. - People kill themselves alone while being the closest target to the boss and they are constantly facetanking his damage till downstate. I see it every run. - People not bringing out axes and kill themselves, kill others who don't react or make the positioning of the group an absolute mess. - Healers rezzing + laying axes onto downed players or healers jumping to platforms in normal mode outside of splits resulting in lots of hp pressure on the remaining player. Most of them cannot handle it. I often cry in front of my monitor when I'm last man standing as pure glass cannon. As a healer: just dont go over, only on 66% and 33% but even then there's no need to go to the platforms. In NM it's no kill mechanic and the damage dealt can be healed within one single second. --> If you want to help a clueless pug bring regeneration/protection with you even as a dps player. You'll carry that group hard because the encounter himself is no dps race. wonky mechanics NO! effing NO! I ran 100 CM on a daily basis, before patch (title was messy but we got it even with the problems) and after and I constantly never ever failed to grapple over and jump back. That only happens if you are too nervous, bad or something else. It is easy: You get the tether? Just walk to the edge of the platform - do it properly and really stand at the edge, not 1-3 yards/metres before. Point the indicator in the middle of the platform which means inside the phantom (=mob/enemy). It will never fail! Take your time over there, kill it. Turn around and just jump into the middle of the mushroom. Again: It will never fail! 100 CM is easier as 99 CM; a lot easier. But I understand why some people think it's the other way round. Lots of groups already failing 99 CM and still run their head against the wall without realizing what needs to be done. They sometimes get away with it with luck and think this should be the same with other encounters. But: 100 CM doesn't work that way. You just need to play the mechanics there and it's a breeze. If you just mindlessly trying to bring as much as damage as possible stop that. You don't need hardcore dps outside of high kp or speed run groups. The encounter just wants that you play the indicators. Do it and you will have success. Take the damage pressure away from your group. 100 CM is fine aside from being boring as hell. If you can't get the title your group is just bad, nothing else. I had several title runs without even attempting it on purpose and with only low kp players.
  13. I don't know in which universe but taking into considerations we ran fractals on a daily basis even before Heart of Thorns you can see that most of the fractals were run since eons and lots of us don't want to kill the same trash over and over again. We also had the same discussion about dungeon trash mobs way before End of Dragons while it was already very easy to clear the trash compared to vanilla dungeon time. There is so much that is not "intended" to be played by the devs in the game but far from being forbidden or at least not wanted. On the contrary it is tolerated because a lot of stuff is very smart or tricky play by the community. It's fabulous you can start your own group how you like it and you'll also get enough players that clear the stuff with you. Nevertheless don't force others to do stuff in a video game you want but they probably won't due to you not being clear in your lfg beforehand. I usually want a fast clear without UFE stuff and in 90% of my runs it's not an issue. And also the majority of these non-UFE groups that play with heal and alac dps don't want to clear the trash as well because they know it's faster without when doing it properly. So, no, my opposition just goes against those who are saying they are faster in clearing because they definitely are not. PS: First part in uncat is barely skipped in T4s because it is the shorter way and no necessary to wait for one to get through because all can make it very fast. And for the 2nd skip the player who skips can turn away before the golem is down and start running towards the entrance. Last but not least you can save more than 5-20 seconds with skips and deeper knowledge of the fractals without being a speed runner. Maybe you don't know all tactics yet but in the end it can save up to 10 minutes in a whole meta T4 + Rec pug run which is huge. The thing is we all have different standards. The group with 25k UFE no heal run would probably kick me for not being on top level while I would leave groups in which I don't get quickness, alacrity or players with a class that is capable of stripping boons deny that because they are playing weird stuff. The good thing is: The lfg.
  14. I cannot agree. For skipping it just needs one player to actually make it and then everyone else gg's and it's done. It's always faster if people are on track and not sleeping, playing like a snail or don't know about "/gg". On Uncat. I always skip the 2nd part of climbing with my dragonhunter. People haven't even killed the first harpy when I'm up and already triggered the new spawning point.
